Fantastic host. enjoyed hearing about the family and history of the building. Breakfast was simple but good. Rooms were more than adequate. Great location. Easy check in. Great value for the money. We were two couples in our mid 60s.

Great location! Within easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Quiet and clean accommodations in a beautifully maintained century home. Friendly and gracious hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Will definitely return for another stay in the future.

Everything you want in a bed and breakfast. Nancy and Deane were so friendly, the rooms were immaculate and had so much character. The breakfast Nancy had for us was amazing, with homemade fruit salad, juice, coffee, oatmeal, danishes, etc. If you love old homes this one had the character and felt like home. Parking as well. Definitely would stay again if the opportunity arises.

Immaculately kept rooms. Breakfast featuring a large muffin, toast, a hard boiled egg, coffee tea or juice and a fruit salad. Parking, wifi, a study den, friendly conversation and welcoming hosts (Nancy and Deane) included. What you will find at Brown's Guest Home is exceptional value. April 2019 Bruce

My husband and I stayed here in August 2018 and we were warmly welcomed by Nancy and Deane. Our room was beautifully decorated and had lots of room for us and our suitcases. The bed was comfortable and there was a lovely breeze through the window. The shared bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were provided with a delicious breakfast and entertaining conversation in the morning. There is wifi and free parking beside the house. The town of Amherst is a central location for exploring the area and well worth a visit!

Homestyle, comfortable and clean. Most importantly the knowledge and history that the owners brought our vacation to life! Deane and Nancy Allen gave us insights of the unique things to do and see, along with memorable stories, that only the locals can give you. Best deal in town for quality hospitality for the best price. Thank you

We have been staying at Brown's B&B for a number of years now. The B&B is old but very clean, and Host Nancy goes out of her way to make you feel at home. The B&B has wi-fi and offers a full continental breakfast. The B&B itself is located just a several minute walk from the heart of Amherst which has a number of shops and restaurants including Tom Horton's. A large public library and the YMCA are also nearby providing you access to the internet and exercise classes if you so choose. I would also add that Sackville NB is just minutes away so Brown's could serve as an accommodation for there as well. Although it has not been a problem for us, the rooms are located upstairs. Also, the 2 bathrooms are shared with only one having a tub & shower. If you are looking for a place with a cooked breakfast and tv's in the room, this is not the place for you. However, if you want a clean spot to relax for a few days, Brown's B&B should suit you well.

Older but clean and pleasant accommodation located in a traditional victorian house located just minutes outside of core downtown. Like all old houses, it was quite squeaky when walking around it, but other than that - a very quiet house. Super friendly and welcoming hosts with equally friendly cat. We stayed here in early July just for 1 night and had room number 3 with a shared bathroom. The room was spacious and comfortable, with traditional decor. We actually had access to 2 shared bathrooms on the upper floor - one with bathtub + shower and toilet and second one, smaller, with just a toilet. It was very convenient having access to two, especially with 3 rooms sharing the amenities. Free wifi, parking next to the building and continental breakfast (cereals, pastries, scones etc - served early - till 9 am) were all included in the rate. Cash is preferred, but possible to pay with debit/visa. Altogether had a pleasant and comfortable stay here.

We stayed one night in the 'Green Room' with a shared bathroom. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a delight including wonderful oat cakes. Nancy was a super hostess and made you feel right at home. We enjoyed our stay very much and the conversations with the other guest. The TripAdvisor picture does not resemble the house at all, so check out their website for the real deal. We recommend you stay here if you get a chance to be in the area. Thanks Nancy for making us feel at home in your home.
