The family was travelling from Fort St. John to Vernon and we weren’t going to make it in one day. As we didn’t know how early we would get a head start, we didn’t book ahead. Turns out that’s a bad plan before the long weekend and everything was booked from Kamloops to 100 mile house. Then we found this motel and we were able to secure two rooms. We didn’t know what to expect because last year during the fires we stayed in a very sketchy motel in Kamloops as everyone was evacuated and rooms were scarce. But when we walked into this room it smelled nice. There were towel figures on the beds and bathroom. The windows were open and the fan was on which helped as it was a plus 30 C day. Honestly I was not excited about this place without AC but I would totally recommend it to anyone after staying here. They welcomed us with polite guest service and walked us through everything. The place is clearly well taken care of and the naysayers should decide before staying how important the AC is because everything else is great.…
I was just ending a 17 day motorcycle ride from Vancouver Island to Dawson City and return, this was my last hotel/motel stay. It was by far the best of the best. It covered all bases, reasonably priced, very clean, well updated, comfortable bed, fantastic internet, the tv channel package one of the best I have seen in years at a motel, the cute little characters folded from the towels on the bed and in the bathroom were a nice touch. When I arrived the outside temp was 35C/ 95F, I was initially concerned as the motel doesn't have A/C but the owner assured me it wouldn't be an issue and it wasn't. I would stay here again for sure!
We were in town to vend at the garlic festival. The rooms were very clean and had everything u would need. They went the little extra mile folding the towels into cute figures which made it feel special. We felt welcomed and at home. We stayed in room 5 and the bathtub was fabulous to use our handmade B’s Bath bathbombs in. The only thing I wish is that the beds and pillows were a little newer and more comfortable. But for the price it is a great value!!! It was perfect for our needs.
We stayed here for a business trip over the weekend and were super pleased with out room! The bathtub was amazing and the beds were pretty decent. Staff was super accommodating and friendly. The place is well kept and clean the property reflects the rooms as well. Tidy and well kept. Will be back next year! Highly reccomend to stay here while you tour the town. And....how cool are these towels!
Everything was great. Met my expectations. Bed comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Nights getting cooler this time of year so no A/C was not an issue for me. Very convenient to everything I needed. Had room 17.
Initially I reserved an RV site for two nights while my truck was having maintenance work done. My husband's health declined to the point that I couldn't take the RV but I felt bad cancelling the reservation just four days ahead of my arrival so I reserved their motel room instead rather than the room I normally would have reserved across from the service center. No air conditioning, toilet on a slanted floor, tiny fiberglass tube for a shower, couldn’t get internet and was really dark and dingy. It was so hot without the air conditioning my heavy coated dog was suffering in the heat. I was concerned that since we would be in the room all the next day without a vehicle, it would be too hot for my dog. Since I had not used the room I asked the proprietor if I could get my money back. He refused and would only give me back the second day’s fee. He said it was my responsibility to check to see if a motel had air conditioning. 10 years of renting motel rooms, I’ve never run across one that didn’t! He said lots of motels didn’t have AC. I beg to differ! It cost me a full night's rent to leave this motel and go to one with air conditioning. I could see that if the motel were full and and they needed my room but the motel was half empty. I would even have been willing to pay for half the cost of a night but this particular greedy proprietor was in no mood to do anything but take as much of my money as he could get away with. I would avoid this dump and these people at all costs!!! …
Couldn’t ask for better customer service and extremely clean, but I really wish they had something better than Grandma’s bed in unit 10. Everything was wonderful and the people are terrific, but when we went to go to bed, the queen size bed had such a large dip in the center of it that we kept rolling into the center and couldn’t sleep on the bed. It would be great for one person you’d be hugged in all directions, not great for a couple.
We stayed in the rv park which is located behind the motel portion. It is easy access for our class C motorhome 32’ long and I saw a 36’ 5th wheel backed into a spot so I will say you can pretty much get any size rig in there. The office staff was friendly and helpful and we arrived late in the evening and they were very accommodating for us. We will definitely stay here again.
The owner manager is very rude and makes you feel like he is doing u a favour letting you stay no customer service skills at all I read other reviews along with his replies/ excuses for a dirty facility I had to take my own tp to the bathroom for 2 days before I finally said something and I still would not use the disgusting showers He is the only game in town and knows it for a small town you would expect him not to bite the hand that feeds him For a friendly environment go stay at the 99 motel they are great people
We booked this the same as travelling to 100 Mile House from Fort St. John and liked it because we can just take our luggage/etc straight from the vehicle into the room. The room is a bit tight but the beds were really comfy to sleep in. I was glad it was a cooler night because this place has no a/c. They had a couple of windows open and the fan really helped. Only issue I had was my sleep apnea machine could not plug into the outlet directly but they supplied an extension cord that helped.
