Awesome Prime Rib, perfect balance of flavour, not overly salty. Au jus sauce was thicker than the norm but was very flavorful. We were hungy after spending the day visiting Eaton and Twin Falls and they were recommended by the girls at the Visitor Center. Prime Rib cooked to medium rare and cut it with a fork! Definitely worth a return visit.

Stayed for work and was quite impressed. The hotel is older but maintained very well. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and seemed genuine which I suspect is a result of a good work environment. My boss said the food in the restaurant was to die for and he wasn’t wrong! The poutine and wings were my favourite!

Internet was really bad, actually had to use my hotspot to write this. Not recommended for any business stays. Front desk says wifi is working and will just tell you what you want to hear, but wifi does not work, For the price of the room per night $150.00 you would think things would work properly.

Thank you for your review. During your stay Grande Cache had experienced an issue with the internet. This effected every business and residential area. They have since repaired the issue and are installing fiber optic internet to provide us with faster and consistent internet. Thank you for choosing our property for your stay and I hope to see you again.

We received a gift certificate a number of years ago, and decided to use it on our recent visit to Grande Cache. Leoni at the front desk was outstanding, and went out of her way to make sure everything ran smoothly for our stay. We are also grateful to manager Lisa for her support behind the scenes for a great visit.

The rooms and hallways were very dated and the furniture was worn dusty and dirty, my white duvet was stained ??? and lumpy and even though I had a non smoking room it was obvious from the smell the room had been smoked in, . I came back to my room while the maid was cleaning my room and found her washing out room glasses in the bathroom sink...not sanitary at all. most of the staff was friendly but had a very hard time with english...wouldnt recommend the place..next time i will spend another 20 bucks and stay at the best western

Grande Cache is a gorgeous spot in the mountains. The restaurant was great and the staff were friendly. The building is very old and in need of serious renos. Looks like nothing but the beds and linens have been replaced since its origin. Gross carpeting. Our non smoking room smelled like smoke. Beds were clean and comfy though. I admit to being a bit of a hotel snob so take this review with a grain of salt if you're not spoiled and used to staying in newer accomodations. I would recommend staying in Hinton if you're in this area.

Cook would not serve me Prime Rib well done. I asked them to just put a slice on the grill, No way.. he said have the Rib Eye steak and I will cook it well done., he claimed it was the same??? I thought Prime Rib was a roast and how hard could it be to just cook it. I don't think rare to medium is healthy, I like it well done, so I ended up eating a terribly greasy pasta.. I will not eat there again.

Sorry you did not enjoy your meal. We only serve our Prime Rib to a temperature of medium to get the best quality of the product. Our Rib Eye can be cooked to a temperature of well done and is the same cut of meat, just in steak form rather than a roast. We hope you will consider another meal next time you are near us.
