My wilfe and I pulled into Gibson's earlier than planned and although our room had not been prepared yet we were offered access to the pool, sauna and the gardens. I was floored by how much I enjoyed the hot sauna and the garden seating. It felt like sitting in the backyard at home! So comfortable and relaxed. The pool area is extremely well ventilated and although the temperature was over 30 degrees outside it was very comfortable and relaxing to just sit by the pool. I had completely forgotten how much I enjoy a hot sauna and had more than a few good sweats in there. Eating breakfast and dinner in the garden gazebo was phenomenal. Gibsons Garden Hotel made our stay incredibly enjoyable. Recommended to anyone who wants a home away from home. Thoroughly pleased!!!
Great place. beautiful gardens. Nice pool. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel welcome. We had left a place we’d booked in Gibsons because we hated it and we so pleased to find this beautiful oasis. Highly recommend it
We booked one night while on a road trip and we were very happy with the accommodations. We like to book rooms with kitchenettes so we can relax and cook our own meals. Our room was inside facing the very pleasant courtyard. The courtyard has a few tables and chairs, a koi pond, bubbling stream and lots of flowers and other plants. Under the walkway overhang, beside our room, there was another small table and two chairs where guests could sit and enjoy the courtyard out of the rain. Note that not all rooms face the courtyard and it hardly ever rains on the sunshine coast. Our room was quite large and featured a large window looking into the courtyard. In front of the window was a small table and two chairs. This was a treat as many places with kitchenettes don't have a proper place to sit and eat. The kitchenette was small but functional. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean and well kept. This would be a good place to stay for more than one night if visiting the area.…
We decided to do the 'Circle Route' from Comox Little River Ferry, through the Sunshine Coast, then from Vancouver to Nanaimo, and back up to the Comox Valley. Since we never drove the Sunshine Coast before, we didn't reserve overnight accommodation thinking there was plenty of hotels...wrong decision! Anyways, as the sun set into darkness, we went on-line and found the Gibson Garden Hotel, and even better was that they offered a 'Last Minute Deal' price, so we reserved a room and continued driving until arrival. Once there, we were warmly greeted by Emily who quickly checked us in and explained how things worked. When we opened our hotel room (3rd Floor Mezzanine) we were very impressed with a large bed and new linen sheets. There was TWO padded comfortable chairs (why do hotels usually give just one chair??) and a table, which was perfect as we enjoyed a late night snack right in our room. The bathroom was large enough, bath products in wall dispensers, and hot water and newer towels. The A/C unit worked very well, the fridge was cold, the TV had plenty of channels, and in the morning the coffee maker did the trick. And best of all, the pool is large, wonderful, warm and very refreshing. For sure I would recommend the Gibson Garden Hotel, and if we do the Sunshine Coast again, we'll pre-book here before leaving home! Cheers, Paul…
We only stayed for 1 night , we were greeted by a friendly gentleman at check in which was super fast and easy. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We did not use the pool area as we had other things planned. There are restaurants and some shopping within walking distance. Hotel is Located about 10 minutes from the ferry terminal. I wish we could have stayed longer but we will return and stay here again.
We booked here as they had an indoor pool that was open during the winter months. The place was absolutely spotless and the front desk staff couldn't have been nicer. We had three rooms, all of which were equally clean with good beds. Pool was great, fitness room and sauna all very nice. Surprised by our stay here and would recommend.
It is very cozy friendly 3 star hotel , 10 to 15 minute drive from the ferry terminal , good location , very quite , coffee shop still close due to the Covid , rooms clean , pretty basic , it suited our need for a night . love to come back in the summer to check on the courtyard .
We needed to get away to talk over a few things. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel! The Gibsons Garden Hotel is in my opinion one of the nicer places on the Sunshine Coast, and we've been to the SC a lot. Just never had the opportunity to stay here. The manager and staff are top notch. They solved a couple of issues for us with a smile. The room was the Executive Suite and it was outstanding. Lots of place to relax and it was very comfortable and well worth the price. One of the things that stood out as well was the bathroom! The tub was deep and luxurious and I really appreciated the shampoo/conditioner/shower get dispenser. This is reminiscent on how the cruise ships save space and the environment at the same time. We will absolutely visit again, not too sure when, but the next time we are in Gibsons, this will be our destination. Next time, hopefully in the spring to explore the beautiful garden that this hotel is named for.…
We just got back from a 4 day stay and I must say it exceeded all expectations. In the span of three days I witnessed the manager himself fulfill the following tasks all with a smile on his face: Came in on 10 minutes notice from home to fix our door’s card reader which was broken. Was woken up not once but TWICE on back to back days by that one guest that wants him to personally serve him coffee at 5:30 in the morning with an open Tim Horton’s literally 1 minute down the road. Set up the entire massage chair room (which is fabulous, 20 minutes for 10 bucks) for my family and set up the tv for the kids to watch while closing the blinds for us. I could go on and on, even with new staff at the front desk they worked their butts off non stop every shift at a time when it is hard to find good workers. Just first class all the way, nice setting, nice garden, nice pool, nice service, nice people.…
Our rooms had been confirmed by phone and again through email, yet when we arrived the rooms were not available and the desk clerk seemed confused about how to get us checked in. Eventually we were given rooms that had been pulled out of service due to short staffing. The hotel was loud and dated.
