Our room was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The TV and AC worked well. A light breakfast of yoghurt and muffins, coffee was included. Hosts very polite and welcoming. They take pride in their business.

Owners were nice. This is an older property but it has been renovated and our room was very clean. Despite being close to the major highway and a fast food restaurant it was extremely quiet. I don't know if we will ever be in the area again, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We knew this would be a rather traditional inexpensive hotel, but the welcome given by Sunny in reception made the visit all the more enjoyable. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was perfectly adequate, and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for a long time. Thanks Sunny!

Lovely owners, clean premises, nicely appointed room with large screen tv, quiet, free Wi-Fi, free breakfast. covid precautions followed. Only noise was gurgling for hot water heating. parking just outside the door. Due to wind there is a covered walkway around the hallway, keeps dirt and cold air out. Genius. The best motel in Fort Macleod Alberta

I stayed at the motel for 6 weeks, working near a wind turbine farm. The room was always clean. The bed was very comfortable. The area very quiet for a good sleep. The owners always ready to help and listen. I can highly recommend this motel.

on my way to Waterton Lakes stopped at the Sunset if I could use their washroom, no one in the office, went to the coin Laundromat around the corner, saw one and the guy/owner tried to open the door while I was in. then when I came out, he had hung a sign stating "No Public Washrooms" was in this town about 30 years ago, people were rude and redneck then, still rude and ignorant today. I wouldn't bother with this place anymore. real s*%tty people! I'm not sure if the Laundromat is associated with the motel.

We arrived at Fort Macleod after 10 pm. We were so pleased that we were able to still rent a room as “walk in” after being told by another hotel “good luck trying to get a room as walk ins.” The owners were very professional & courteous. They didn’t make us feel like we were interrupting them. The room was very clean. The parking lot was clean & well-maintained. It is located near the highway & yet it was very quiet. And the price was so reasonable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend the sunset motel to anyone.

Don't be worried about the highway-side location. The main wing of the motel has a secondary front hallway which completely blocks the noise. Great location for exploring the area. Although the motel is older, considering the price, the value is excellent.

Good sized rooms with AC. The unit has a stove, small fridge and microwave with a big tv, and wifi. The room neat and tidy. Next door has coin laundry machines. Has some green space to relax. Friendly owners. Nice place to watch the sunset!

I am here for work and anything I needed they were happy to look after it. I am treated like family and like its home...couldn't get any better. Room was always clean when i got back , towels changed as well.
