Nice sites and facilities. Friendly office staff. Stay was great until we were packing up from a beach day with the kids when one of the men that works here was driving a quad was backing up straight for the kids and not looking backwards. So I yelled for my kids to get out of the way, ok fine, situation over but then one of the female staff members started harassing us for yelling at him to look behind him. It didn’t quit there. We got to our vehicle and she was harassing us from the time she fired up her golf cart (with a beer in hand) until she was far past us. Extremely unprofessional. As beautiful as this resort it, probably won’t stay here again.

We found the staff here more than excellent. The area was promoted regarding the shops, the lovely walk from the park to the lake, restaurants, the fabulous bakery on the property, and golf. Our site still had garbage leaned up on the fire pit on arrival. We found the park to be really, really dark. Didn’t help that we had 3 days of rain and the cedars are huge. In summer it would be beautiful I’m sure, but I was relieved to move on to an more open park. The location was great.

Located in Crawford Bay, center of Kootenay Lake, Kokanee Chalets is a quiet, rustic and peaceful place for a mini-getaway. We were surrounded by trees, mountains and a sandy beach is just a 15-minute walk. It even has a cozy cafe on site with delicious bakery and sandwiches. We stayed at one of the cabins with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with hot shower and fresh towels, an open kitchen and living + dining area. And for TV lovers, they also have satellite TV service in the cabin so you never miss any play-offs games! It's rustic and has its own cozy character that made us feel like we're at home away from home. The staff were friendly and always greeted us with smiles. They always made sure we had everything we needed and are accommodating with when to come for house-keeping. We stayed for 4 nights but felt its not enough! It's a place to unplug and reconnect with nature. Absolutely recommend it 👌

This resort was a terrible dissapointment. No tv. Very poorly stocked. Table leaf did not fit. Dead mouse in cupboard. Burned out light on back door. No place to put clothes. No dishwasher. Upper bedrooms may or may not have doors. Very RUSTIC accommodation.

Yes, our accommodation is very rustic. Most units have TV's although we don't have cable. I'm sorry to hear about the table leaf. We would happily bring you a different table or leaf. I like the suggestion about a place to put clothes and I will bring it up with our owner. True some of the sleeping areas aren't closed off with doors. More like loft-style bunking. :) As for the mouse... His name was Franklin. He was on a mission to feed his wife and their eight kids when he suddenly dropped dead from a heart attack when he ALMOST got caught by the maid when she opened the cupboard door to get the dish soap. Don't worry though. Franklin's wife and family were well supported by their mouse community and although they were grieving they are making their way through it with grace and love. *We live in the country and we recognize that mice are a part of our ecosystem here. We set traps, we don't often use poison and we do our best to keep all rodents and other species that don't mix well with humans out of the cabins. Please accept our apology about the dead mouse. He didn't mean to die there and we would have cleaned it up had it been seen/brought to our attention. I will also remind housekeeping to make sure they do a thorough inspection of all cupboards.

I really enjoyed the ambience. Very quiet and comfortable. Our room looked out into the woods (see pictures). The hosts were very helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Our room (what they called a cabin) was in very good shape, very clean with lots of room for the two of us and our bicycles. We used the hot tub and really enjoyed it. The grounds were beautiful. There were also shelters with grills available. Much of it looked recently renovated - everything was in good repair. Crawford Bay is a quiet little town, basically two restaurants in town. Newkeys Place (a local pub) was a pleasant surprise with the variety of food they offered. The Black Salt Cafe looks good but has limited hours. There is a bakery on the Chalet grounds that is quite good. Across the street was a pop-up restaurant that had a very nice selection as well.
