The Ranch is beautiful, comfortable and like out of a movie. Peaceful and romantic surrounded by pure untouched nature and just minutes away from the Wells Gray Parks. We saw black bears everyday. The owners, Tania and Kurt did welcome us with a big warm smile and open arms so right away we felt at home . Excellent cooking so we had the best time ever. We can’t thank them enough❤️❤️

Thanks for this lovely review. It's great to read that you felt like living in a movie set while staying at our home. We had lots of bear traffic in our meadows during your stay, and we all enjoyed that. Keeping an eye on the playing bears through the scoop is great entertainment. We were happy with the weather gods, so we could have dinner on the deck, which is super nice. We hope to remain an everlasting memory and see you again one day.

I have stayed at this Ranch almost since Kurt and Tania took it over. It offers the highest BB accommodation that I have encountered in BC I stay in the bear room which has direct access to the large deck offering the most fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Tania and Kurt offer an outstanding welcome and you may meet with guests from literally anywhere. Food is tailored to you needs and extreemly good, often taken outside in good weather. The Ranch is ideally placed to access the numerous hiking trails in the park and both Tania and Kurt can offer best advice to match your capabilities. If you enjoy photography you will be very happy as black bears frequent the valley and swarms of humming birds come to feed all day long. You can also see white tailed deer and cranes as they come to feed on the frogs. The ranch has it's own supply of pure spring water. With the exception of covid time I frequent the ranch at least once per year and would not dream of visiting Wells Grey without staying at the Ranch. It really is number 1.

What an amazing review. We know there is nothing like home, but being the next best thing is what we are aiming for. A relaxed atmosphere, wildlife viewing from the deck, and good food; are how we try to pamper our guests. I lost count of how many times you stayed at our home, but I am pretty sure this was not the last one. We love to see you again.

Just wow. We spent a couple of nights at the Clearwater Springs Ranch for our honeymoon road trip around BC/Alberta and it was just wonderful from start to finish and a highlight of the trip. From the second we pulled up on the driveway Tania and Kurt did their upmost to make us feel right at home. It is evident they put their heart and soul in to running the ranch and it is so lovely to feel a part of that. The ranch is well situated to explore the park and it’s many wonderful sights and Tania and Kurt shared their mountains of knowledge with us so we could make the most out of the short time we had there (we wish we could have stayed longer!). Having said that - the ranch is in such a beautiful setting you might decide you don’t need to leave at all as there is plenty of wildlife and views to keep you amused simply by looking out of the window. Tania, Kurt - The experience you gave us will live in our hearts forever! We will absolutely be returning to Canada so expect to see us again soon!

Wonderful hosts Tanya and Kurt made us feel extremely welcome in their beautiful home set in the stunning landscape of the Wells Gray National Park. The peace and tranquility afforded by the location is just sublime and the views from all rooms and balconies in the house are just amazing. Even though we were a little early in the year for some of the wildlife, there was still plenty to see and enjoy. The nearby natural attractions offered in the park are, in themselves, stunning beautiful and have to be experienced. We were fortunate enough to experience breakfast and dinner prepared by our hosts, which were probably the best meals of all those that we enjoyed during our three week trip to BC and Alberta. If you get the chance to visit the area and stay at this ranch, you are in for a treat that you will treasure forever. Sadly we were only able to stay for a couple of nights, which really was nowhere near long enough. This was definitely the highlight of a three week adventure that was full of highlights. Thank you Tanya and Kurt.

Just spent 4 nights for a wilderness experience at Tania and Kurts ranch, What a wonderful winter get away. We X country skied and cramponned and snowshoed the area and came home to a blazing fire and wonderful healthy home cooked dinner. Excellent breakfasts too.Lots of laughs around the table with our hosts joining us for dinner. Kurt and Tania are fantastic hosts and have a great sense of humour. The beds are comfortable with good pillows and lovely soft sheets. Will remember this trip for a long time. Highly recommended. Lesley and Don

Thanks for this lovely review. We are always happy to see our guests enjoy our home to the fullest. Dinner together is a very important part of the day. Not only the food but conversation and laughter are in that package. In the end, we like you to go home with a warm feeling and a great memory to cherish. Hopefully, we will see you again for a hiking holiday in Wells Gray Park.

We made Clearwater Springs our base from which to explore Wells Gray Park snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Kurt and Tania's hospitality was much appreciated. Their culinary skills were top notch too. We enjoyed learning from them about the Park and surrounding area and found their suggestions for trails and waterfall-watching very helpful. An extremely peaceful and well run Lodge and B & B. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all and relax and enjoy the beautiful, clean and comfortable Lodge and Wells Gray Park.

Thank you for this delightful review. We like to spread our love for Wells Gray Park. It is a fantastic park, a hidden gem. If we can click this natural beauty with the warmth of our home, it is a super match. In life, we tend to forget days, but we don't forget a feeling. I hope we created a nice memory and see you back one day.

I stayed here for 4 nights in January. The hosts Kurt and Tania could not have been more helpful and hospitable. The rooms were excellent and the ability to relax around a roaring fire was appreciated. The food which included breakfast and dinner was well presented and locally sourced. Many Eoropean style dishes which were appreciated. We found it to be a great centre from which to see Wells Gray Park in Winter either on skis or snowshoes.

Thanks for this wonderful review. We like to pamper our guests and having a nice warm fire to warm up to after your day outdoors is the least we can do. For our Canadian guests, we try to bring more European-style dishes to the table and add an extra flair to your holiday. You showed me a lovely painting you made of our Ludtke Cottage, I hope you will be able to send me a copy of that. We hope to see you back to further exploring Wells Gray Park.

We stayed at Kurt and Tania‘s beautiful ranch this October for 2 nights. Their home and the bear room we stayed in are beautifully furnished, equipped and decorated - throughout all our various trips we have never experienced such a great level of tidiness (even the hairdryer was super clean ;) ) and hospitality. We felt at home right away - Kurt and Tania provided us with great and helpful advises for our visit at Wells Gray Provincial Park and by the end of the day we all were sitting by the fireplace chatting - That’s what a real BnB is all about: being actual guests at someone‘s house! Homemade breakfast and dinner were delicious and the cherry on top to our perfect stay. The ranch is beautifully and peacefully located in the middle of the provincial park with a great view across their property (open fields touching the foot of the mountain). It is a 30minutes drive from Clearwater town but every minute is worth it since it’s such a scenic drive up there and the silence you‘ll experience can’t be compared to anything else. And last but not least we have to mention Maple, their dog, who is just adorable:)

🇬🇧 We were lucky enough to stay with Kurt and Tania for three nights in order to explore Wells Gray Provincial Park, which is so easy from their B&B. We had a superb room with an en-suite bathroom containing both a bath and a shower. The room also had decking to sit and watch the wildlife/ scenery. Tania was happy to spend time helping us decide which trails were best and what we could hope to see. The food was excellent and after dinner it was lovely to socialise with them and the other guests. Our favourite occupation, when the evening sky was clear, was star gazing - kurt is very knowledgeable - and we learned a lot. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

Thank you for this lovely review. Star gazing is one of our favourite things, and we have the perfect plays for it. With no light pollution at all, the sky is the limit. Looking up at the Milky Way makes us feel humble. And just as we were questioning about other life in the galaxy, the Musk Train appeared! I hope that at least one of your wishes came true seeing all those shouting stars.
