A group of 6 of us spent 3 nights at Marion and Michael's B&B. We had an amazing time even though it was very smoky from the wild fires. They were such gracious hosts and were there for us whenever we needed anything..... they even set up a badminton net.... but unfortunately it rained and we couldn't use it. Very nice breakfast every morning and a beef tenderloin dinner as well!!! The waterfalls in the area were Unreal and lots of good hiking. I would highly recommend their place for anyone looking for space in that part of beautiful BC.
Our family occupied the entire lodge during our stay, so this report embraces it all. Located in a secluded forest glade in the heart of Wells Gray Park about 25km north of Clearwater, this enchanting Disney-esque lodge was a supremely comfortable and convenient base from which to explore WG Park. The experience was all the more enhanced by the charming and personable hosts, Marion & Michael, who went out of their way to please whilst remaining unobtrusive. The good: The fairy-tale grounds are manicured like a botanical garden and the lodge’s communal areas are similarly enchanting. The guest rooms are clean, well-insulated, spacious, comfortable and stylishly appointed in an upscale log-cabin theme. Everything expected was there and it all worked as expected. The king beds were comfortable, the linens plush and we were each able to find a favourite pillow. The bathrooms are modern, roomy and well-appointed and the water supply was hot and plentiful. Breakfast was an agreeable buffet with eggs to order and the service was gracious and attentive. The included Wifi worked well on all our devices and parking is right at the front of the lodge. The not so good: you need to be very pernickety to find anything much here but the lighting onto the bathroom mirrors is less than ideal for detailed operations and same bathrooms are bit short of horizontal storage space. The bad: we couldn’t stay longer. Need to know: cellphone service is very patchy throughout the park and we had no from service at the lodge on any of the carriers we were using. So, enjoy the solitude and the solace.…
Such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Friendly and very helpful hosts .. even before we arrived , no question was too small to be answered by email. Lovely breakfast .. and amazing steak / salmon which we ordered before our arrival ! Would definitely recommend staying here! A fanastic stop off betwen whistler and jasper .
Lovely secluded location, but within easy reach of the beautiful natural attractions in the Clearwater Valley. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Above all though, the hosts Michael and Marion are so helpful and open. We would love to return in the future
A lovely, small B&B with 3 very spacious rooms and great hosts, located in a national park, about 25 kms from the nearest village. Marion and Michael, the hosts do their utmost to make your stay unforgettable, They serve fresh salmon, full breakfast and know where you should go for hiking and touring.
