Tara & Jason, the owners, are wonderful, kind and helpful. The rooms are recently renovated, very clean and comfortable. Everything looks really nice inside and out. I especially enjoy sitting around the fire and chatting with other travelers. It's a nice walk to the beach at the south end of Christina, and a short walk to the grocery store, post office, coffee shop (at the visitors center) and Canco (which is open late). I have stayed here many times during the past three years for both work and holidays. Lakeview is perfect for both.

Struggled to find adequate charging for our EV and were faced with gruelling drive home with stops to charge. We made a last minute call to book into the Lakeview Motel as there is a Tesla Destination Charger right across the street. Most hotels in the area didn't have an EV charger on site. The room was super clean, spaciously and had all you need to come to Christina Lake and enjoy. Too bad for us it was a necessity stay instead of holiday as we would have love to join in on the fire pit and lake fun. Tara was a super host for the short time we were there. I would highly recommend you come, stay and play. :).

This is a very well maintained Motel! Pride of ownership is evident in the details. Moen Fixtures, carful painting and trim, Very clean! It was perfect, for us, for just one night, traveling through to Penticton BC. Everything we needed for a one night stay. We were traveling early November, off season, and the price was very reasonable. Perfect for us! This would be even better for a family and, or, a longer stay! Tara, owner, with her husband Jason, says more than half the rooms have kitchens. Although we didn't use it, there is a very nice covered, Barbecue/Lounging/Socializing/ Smoking area with a fire pit. I did notice a pile of split wood that I assume was for the fire pit. There is a takeout pizza close by. For those staying longer, and making use of the available kitchen, Barbecue area there is a well stocked grocery store, very near the motel. Doing your own cooking, especially for a family is a great money saver, from our experience, especially traveling with a family! We intend to stop by on our return trip! We have stayed twice recently at this extra clean and well looked-after property. Tara, the lady who checked us in each time, was very pleasant and helpful. Each stay was for one-night only, as we travelling from Toronto to Vancouver, and back a couple of weeks later. We rested well here, and will return again if we have the opportunity. Bonus: the nearby Portly Penguin pizza place has excellent pizza, and lots of variety.

We stayed for one night on our way to Vancouver. The room was clean, recently renovated and well organized with the amenities we needed. The check in was ok but could do with a bit of update. There was an outside area with picnic tables and some chairs to enjoy the outdoors. The staff was helpful in providing businesses that were open.

This looks like an ordinary, older typical motel but it is well-equipped, very clean, roomy, and has parking right in front of the rooms. Strong wifi. Pleasant, helpful woman in the office. A covered area with lawn furniture for the guests. Right next to the highway with a grocery store nearby. The price is right. We'd definitely stay here again.

The Lakeview is our go to for a stopover on the way to Fernie from Victoria. The owners have done an excellent job of updating the rooms and grounds. A nicely restored motel with new finishes and very clean. There are food options nearby including, a pizza shop, a golf club dining room, a grocery store and a breakfast and coffee stop.

Something to remember is that this is still a motel and should be thought of as such. It's great for a motel, but still a motel. Pros: The owner was lovely, the room was clean, there were more than enough cooking supplies and fridge space for short stays, and we REALLY appreciated that we had a room with . If you're travelling with a baby or toddler, the arrangement here is great and I'd love to see this sort of use of space in more accommodations. The wifi and TV with streaming services worked well and were greatly appreciated. There was also a variety of pillow firmness options and extra blankets as well. Cons: The bed was much too firm for us personally, and the sheets were quite scratchy. We also found it got stuffy quite quickly and the front window didn't open because there was an air conditioner in it (which is great that AC was an option, but it was less than 20 degrees outside and it would have been nice to have the fresh air. The bathroom door stuck quite a lot and the water pressure and temperature from the shower were low and cool respectively. …

I wish every motel would be as detail orientated as they are at the Lakeview motel in Christina lake. The decorations and colours of the rooms are fun and funky, bed is super comfortable, the kitchenettes are supplied with the things you actually need, and black out blinds with lightly veiled curtains that actually work. I’ve stayed here a number of times and it is always been spotless. The grounds are also very neatly kept. The owner is very friendly and always make sure that the room is ready and sometimes has stayed up a little late for my arrival. If you are by chance driving a Tesla there is free charging across the road at the visitor center. Always have a full battery by the time I leave.
