Excellent service and clean rooms. A nice covered area outside with a fire pit. Across the street is a great place to eat. We were a group of ten with 5 rooms. We would all go back and stay again if we travel to that area. Would recommend this to anyone without hesitation

Thank you for your review. So glad you enjoyed your stay and recommend us. Unfortunately we no longer have the lovely Lisa's Lakehouse across the road but Pony Espresso is still at the Visitor Centre and Portly Penguin is behind the motel. Hopefully we'll have another restaurant open near us by the next time you come through. We look forward to your return. Best regards, Tara and Jason

this may be a small motel but by all standards deserves 5 star status pros: - check in was easy - very friendly owners, available and receptive to needs of group, very accommodating - rooms were clean, updated and modern ( clearly recently renovated) - grounds. were clean and tidy - gazebo and sitting area were comfortable - access to well functioning BBQ and tools - good room rate - airconditioning - clean well equipped kitchen - daily cleaning - this motel was very clean, cons: - bed mattress were firm and could use updating , but overall very comfortable stay would stay here again highly recommended.

Thank you for your review. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and appreciate our efforts. We are sorry to hear that you found the mattress too firm. All mattresses in the motel have been updated between 2017-2019. We have found feedback to be very subjective from, "Best sleep, I have had in my life please tell me the brand", to "Outdated and needs to be replaced". Look forward to seeing you again. Best regards, Tara & Jason

Fantastic little (12 unit) Mom & Pop motel. Excellent rates for suite with living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath. Sofa bed in living area in addition to the queen bed in the bedroom. All the amenities you could ever need including fully equipped kitchen. Clean and well cared for. BBQ and outdoor eating area for patrons. Daily cleaning service providing fresh towels, making up bed, etc. Amazing that a small motel can offer this service when the ones in Victoria do not for almost three times the price. The owners were quite personable, too. Highly recommended.

First trip to this area and this motel was exactly as described on their website and in other reviews I had read. Clean and well stocked. Not a fancy 5 star resort but great value for the price. Jason and Tara are great hosts and were constantly checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Added bonus is the common area for barbecue and dinner. Would highly recommend

The day we arrived, the area was experiencing temperatures over 40°C. Not only was our well-functioning air-conditioning very welcoming, but so was the super clean room and well-outfitted kitchen with a full-sized fridge. Having traveled from Southern Alberta the same day, we had two coolers with us and were able to refrigerate/freeze everything we needed to with ease. Kitchen had dishes, cooking utensils, a toaster, kettle, coffee maker etc. Everything was clean and 'ship-shape'! The office staff was very welcoming and as we stepped out to head to the Lake, offered us towels for the beach if we needed them. The room was quiet despite this being the beginning of the August long weekend. We would have enjoyed testing out the firepit in the yard of the motel, but weren't up to creating more heat! Will definitely be back!
