We had an enjoyable family vacation staying at Mango Hill, a spacious, modern villa located in the Silver Sands gated community. This was our first trip to Jamaica.
Mango Hill is located 3-4 blocks from the private beach which is well-maintained with life guard on duty during the day. The currents were fine as the beach is enclosed by a reef further offshore. We rented a golf cart to travel to the beach and back, which was fun and convenient with young kids.
We also hired a car/driver for the entire week to help us explore the island, averaging one trip per day to various locations which were as close as 20 minutes for places near Falmouth and nearby river tours, and over an hour away for attractions near Ocho Rios (e.g., Dolphin Cove, Dunn’s River Falls).
Mango Hill comes with full-time staff including one person who lives on premise. Each of the staff were professional, friendly and the food was delicious. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, the service was attentive and thoughtful. This was our first time having staff on site which seems to be the norm in Jamaica, especially for larger villas.
Overall, this was a great experience. We tend to be more adventurous on vacation and avoid the larger resorts. Much of the research we read (current travel books) and watched online (YouTube) was informative and accurate (e.g., don’t be in a hurry, have cash which is preferred by locals). Overall, everyone was friendly and we felt safe throughout the trip.

We’ve just had the most perfect Jamaican vacation at Summertime Villa. The house staff, Boris, San and Sheryl were absolutely amazing, professional, knowledgeable and made sure we were completely comfortable during our two week stay. They immediately made us feel welcome and quickly became part of our family. San cooked the most amazing meals with a variety of Jamaican, Asian fusion along with home favourites. San went above and beyond to create elegant gourmet meals and desserts along with home baking for yummy snacks to carry along on our excursions. Boris ensured every detail in the house was attended to and set each meal with a beautifully creative table. With her sweet smile and laugh, Sheryl took so much care to keep our rooms pristine, our laundry and towels fresh each day. This staff is definitely 5 star. We had wonderful days either relaxing at the pool or beach, snorkelling, hiking or hanging at the clubhouse for some fun karaoke. The front office staff, Nicole, Janelle, Kimesha and Tanesha, were very helpful, always responsive in a timely to the many queries throughout our planning and our visit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the layout of the house offers excellent indoor and outdoor living space with the most beautiful view of the ocean. We have already booked for next year and hope to make this trip a yearly tradition.

Just returned from a perfect visit to Silver Sands. We stayed at Tu Mac villa and very much enjoyed it. Cynthia and Judith made the stay special for our small group. The villa was very clean and quite comfortable. It is on one level and has ramp access. Love the big kitchen and the spacious front verandah especially.
It was nice to see the beach bar and restaurant open again with Lindsay's Seafood. We had a couple lunches and the food was very good, with generous portions. Service was quick and the restaurant had all menus items available.
As always, the Silver Sands office staff made sure everything went smoothly and that we had everything we needed. From Britney meeting us at the airport, to us arriving for a nice meal knowing everything has been taken care of was so relaxing. Tanesha, Janelle, and all the staff were so professional, kind and generous as always. Looking forward to another visit.

We rented this villa for 7 days. Most of us travelled from abroad and we were looking forward to a wonderful family vacation. This villa is an older house and though the bathrooms have been updated, more work needs to be done. On day 2, 3 of the showers were backed up, one AC was not working and we found a cockroach in one suitcase and one in the bed, plus a centipede in the bathroom and a baby lizard in another one of our bags and a cockroach in the cutlery drawer. The pool wall also needs painting or tiling. To their credit, the backed up shower was corrected the following day, and only backed up again on our last day. The AC unit was replaced 2 days after it broke down. The house is also not very secure. There are 3 entrance points and several places on the outside that are blind spots where an intruder could hide. We could have overlooked all of these issues but the service we received from the 2 ladies assigned to look after us was unbelievably disappointing. From the start, they were unpleasant, uncommunicative and rude. The food was very mediocre but suddenly improved 2 days before our departure. The head cook had been applauded online for being fantastic, so it seemed odd that the quality of the food was inconsistent. There was also an exchange about milk and ketchup which we were told was “theirs”, so we had to kindly ask if we could use “theirs” and say that we would replace it the next time we did our shopping. They did not clean the house or our rooms for the entire trip. There were too many incidents to detail here, but I cannot recommend this house or the ladies who were assigned to us.

This was my first time visiting Jamaica but I will definitely be back! Our visit could not have been better. The Summertime villa was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of excursions and the perfect place to stay for a relaxing day in. Our housekeeper, Cheryl, kept the villa beautifully clean and was on top of all of our needs. Boris was so kind an attentive to us during our stay. And our chef San prepared delicious, restaurant quality meals each morning and night. San worked with us to create a menu that all would enjoy. It was nice get to know all of them, they each played a special role in making our trip so great! The pool and veranda made for an excellent spot to end our nights and saw quite a few dance parties! The beach was breathtaking and just a short walk from the Summertime Villa. We loved spending time in each of the several sitting areas throughout the property. Despite not having sealed windows or doors (only plantation shutters) the AC units did do wonders to cool down the bedrooms. All in all this villa was a big part of what made our stay in Jamaica so wonderful! Till next time, Summertime @ Silver Sands!

My stay at this gorgeous,comfy villa “Summer Time” made our 10day stay magnificent. The ambiance, & scenery was not only breathtaking but relaxing. The cherry 🍒 on top was the staff. WOW! They were awesome, professional and gave us the comfort of a real loving Jamacian family. Our chef San was top notch words can’t explain the love and personal care she put into every morsel she fed us. We really wish we cud take her back to the states but since we can’t we will plan our next stay as soon as we get home. Borris was a real source of comfort and went above & beyond to provide everything we needed. Cheryl kept our home beautiful with a smile and great patience. We truly grade the overall experience a 10++++ to infinity!
My only complaint was the windows did not have mesh or screening in the bedroom. Many Mosquitoes got in and attack us.

Our recent family holiday to Summer Time Villa in Duncans Trelawny was amazing!!! The villa was kept immaculately clean thanks to our house keeper Sherell🧡. Boris👊🏽 our Butler was so hard working, helping us to navigate our day and working so well with our wonderful palate pleaser San to maker sure we had all we needed. San💛 was our chef who made the most delectable dishes with not one complaint from our family. Our every desire even the ones not mentioned was fulfilled with a smile and such love. San's culinary skills are unmatched!!! she is a treasure to be cherished. Thanks for making our family holiday memorable.

My Villa stay was just fine but the customer service with the Silversands Staff was horrendous. I’ll never forget my experience there. I booked the villa for my bday & spoke with Julia to get permission to use the beach for a fire show. Not only did I speak with her but the fire performer spoke with her as well because he had done shows there before. She told us she would have a bon fire set up on the beach but that never happened. The beach was pitch black. She also didn’t tell security anything so not only did the performer have a hard time getting in so did my family and friends and because of that they missed the performance which was the pinnacle of my party. My husband had to speak to the owner and raise hell just for them to get back onto the property. All of this could of been avoided if JULIA did her job but she’s clearly incompetent and doesn’t have any pride in her work. I’ll never stay on this property again and I’ll make sure everyone knows that my birthday was pretty much ruined due to the staff’s negligence.

I have just been on an amazing holiday staying at the Endless Summer villa and couldn’t recommend staying there enough.
The staff employed at the house were extremely helpful and ensured that we had the best time. Our chef, Pauline, was incredible and made such delicious food for us every day. Marge was very friendly and ensured that the villa was spotless and felt so homely. Nigel went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. They really made our trip so amazing!
The Endless Summer villa is in a perfect location with lovely views over the water. It is so quiet and relaxing with many sun loungers and hammocks to chill in. The villa also comes with paddle boards and kayaks, which me and my friends really enjoyed using. The staff also helped to organise trips out to Dunns River, Blue Hole and Glistening Waters which are just a short drive away.
I have recommended staying at Endless Summer to my friends and family and I can’t wait to come back soon!

Five tired and overwhelmed women took a girls trip and wind up at the beautiful Honeycomb Villa. We could not have asked for a better accommodation - clean, stylishly furnished with lots of room to roam. The staff-Kenroy, Margaret and Camille treated us like royalty. The service and food were impeccable. They made whatever we wanted based on our menu. Kenroy was ever present to take us wherever we wanted to go. He made sure our coffee was ready in the mornings and our cocktails around the pool by moonlight was the last act of the day. Of course, he has worked there for a long time so he is familiar with everything and everyone in Silver Sands and was able to give us tips about anything we asked. Margaret is a gem! Her expertise is juggling several meals at a time and making sure each is to your liking. Camille kept the house immaculate, washed and folded our clothes. Our six days stay was free of stress and anxiety. We were able to spend our days at the beach which is within easy walking distance. The beach is absolutely gorgeous with white sand and turquoise water that changes based on the time of day.

Yes, there are coffee makers in the accommodations. There may be seasonings in the kitchen, but there is no guarantee that there will be what you desire. When booking with Mysilversands, just request your groceries to be purchased on your behalf for your account.
Food is a seperate charge. You can give the cook your budget for food and you must pay cash. We paid about $100 per person plus we purchased fresh fish and paid the fisherman directly. They will come right to your villa and you can pick out the fish, lobster or crab.

We stayed there last January, 7 adults, 2 teens. We were $900us for all of us for food only, we ate like kings, lots of food. Booze was extra. Rum and local beer are fairly cheap.
There are more places to choose from in the Duncans area.
