The location is good, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast was perfectly OK. But there is a big BUT: the mattresses are terrible. Really. We spent 14 days in Cuba and this is the only place where we were unable to sleep due to the mattress. On a different note, Gibara does not have much to offer but...

Despite booking in advance the family weren't expecting us as Yvan was away and I think life wasn't going to plan as building works under way and a fridge being operated on when we arrived! No hot water, didn't make a bed up for my son, bedside light in the very small bedroom didn't work. We moved down the road...

Stayed in the casa in march 2016,lovely place with very nice hosts. The view over ocean is spectacular, Giibara pronounced ibara is a quiet place unlike the really busy Holguin with lovely eating places for seafood. 1 small beach with a few sunbeds. Over all a different experiance to different places we have visited in the world.

Wonderful relaxing vibe at this Casa in the very sleepy and authentic Cuban town of Gibara. I had the front room which is massive by Cuban Casa standards. The en-suite bathroom is also quite big. I watched some amazing sunrises on the patio right outside my room. The lady owner of the Casa next door is also a serial sunrise...

Great family and beautiful haven overlooking the sea. Family lovely and cant do enough for you. Good food too. Not loads to do in Gibara so this is a great place for a peaceful retreat but dont expect too much of thr toen.

Situated across the street from the ocean (sorry no beach, but a great view) is Casa Las Brisas. The rear garden part of the Case was under renovations so can’t tell you much about that. We got the front bedroom facing the ocean. Nice big clean room with large bathroom. No fridge in room, but space for your drinks in...

My wife and I first stayed here in September 2012 for 4 days and were back in April 2013 for one week and in October of this year for 1 week. This last visit was to celebrate my wife's birthday. The casa is in a great location mere steps from the ocean. There is always a great breeze on the...

I stayed in Gibara for 3 nights in March 2013. My stay was very pleasant. The location of Las Brisas can hardly be beat. The rooftop terrace offers great view of the ocean. The staff of the house is always at the ready to help with suggestions of things to do. Foos is plentiful and delicious.

We just returned from the hotel and I can't say enough about the staff, even when we were at full force winds they took care of everyone in the resort. As soon as the eye had pasted they had a make shift breakfast station set up and was helping everyone get settled. The tourist were great helping out and cleaning...

I was at the las Brisas the last 2 Januarys ! I like this quiet place much better than one of the resorts in Guardalavaca. The food is awsome and always fresh. The owner and the staff are as friendly as can be. The rooms are large and spotless clean. For very little money one can enjoy a lovely vacation....
