We recently stayed at this hotel. the check in was fab as we were late due to traffic. Our meal booking in the restaurant was held despite us being so delayed. The young man who showed us our room was very helpful. We were going to a wedding nearby and I needed a taxi for a hairdressing appointment next day...

Went as part of a 12 strong surprise 30th birthday celebration on a Saturday evening. We had all ordered beforehand, apart from the birthday boy. It was great. Service was good. Food was excellent and we were allowed to 'decorate' table and near area with birthday ephemera. We were the last to leave but didn't feel like they were waiting...

Excellent food, which was well cooked and nicely presented. The service was below expectations, as empty glasses that we brought from the bar before we sat down were not removed and a drinks order completely forgotten. Although the restaurant was not extremely busy, we were put on a table round a corner and felt a bit forgotten. The optional 'Service...

Stopped by for a late lunch and were impressed most of all by the exceptional staff. The building itself is looking a little in need of some TLC although the interior is smart enough. We sat in the garden as it was a hot day and the food we ordered was very tasty. The pub outlook is nothing remarkable as...

Had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for a long time as the owner Chris Evans is well known for his love of food. Unfortunately the salads weren't drained properly and all the food had not been seasoned. My drink was short measured on both pints and after we let them know at each occasion they still charged full...

Have eaten here a few times but this time the menu looked a bit unadventurous. Service was good as always. Skipped starters, so straight into mains, fish & chips for me, ok but the cod wasn't filleted very well, leaving the unpleasant tough blood line and tasted a bit watery. My wife's 'summer vegetable' pithvier, which was a good 10"...

The first time I ate here had Sunday lunch which was nicely prepared although the Yorkshire puddings were a bit flat. Second time ate here was quite disappointed, I had asparagus and crispy pancetta. The asparagus was over cooked and the ends were very tough, the pancetta was the size of a large crisp and very dry and tasteless. I...

We went there as it was recommended by a friend, very friendly and efficient staff. It was very busy as there was live music the evening we went along but it added to the atmosphere . The food was great apart from one little thing, the cod in beer batter, there was very little cod inside some very thick stodgy...

I had a recent impromptu lunch with a friend here. I had a lovely Holloumi, pepper and courgette kebabs with salad leaves, roasted tomatoes on the vine and couscous with pesto. Delicious! We arrived at about 13.45 but they serve food all day so this was no problem. The restaurant was empty but it was a Thursday afternoon. Service was...

I've been to the Mulberry Inn several times and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff and very friendly and efficient. Booking is recommended, especially at the weekend. The baked Alaska deserves a special mention.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Serving freshly prepared food, sourced locally, made with love. Our inspiration for the food and feel at the Mulberry comes from our strong belief that a pub is somewhere to relax, laugh & spend time with friends, family and four-legged friends*... All whilst enjoying some of the best produce the British country side offers. We welcome diners & drinkers alike with a great selection of old and new world wines & local ales. When the weather allows it you can dine & drink in our beer garden and let the kids play on the play area. When work is required you can log onto our free wifi. And if a party needs to be arranged we will help you from the first idea to getting you in that last taxi home on the night. Over the years we have been lucky to host an amazing array of world class cars, Children In Need charity events & even the odd pop star/diva, but what we really love is to serve all of you who walk through our doors every week and allow us to do what we do best. Which is all of the above! If you haven't been - come. If you've been - we can't wait to see you again! ... more   less
