Finally hooked up, but before adding the wedge levelers, so I had to undo what I did and start over.
A lesson learned the hard way.

If you are looking for a peaceful and most relaxing getaway then you have to visit Barney's. Honestly, this resort meets all your needs for a wonderful getaway. The campsites and the cabins are steps away from Puntzi lake, if you fish, canoe, water ski or paddle board the lake is perfect. A 10 min boat ride will take you to an Island full of Pelicans, and what beautiful birds they are. The cabins are cute and fully equipped with everything you need. Rick and Penny can't do enough for you, they ensure that all your needs are met for a wonderful stay. The Bistro food Penny cooks for the community and their resort quests is made from scratch and is simply Delicious. The menu is made up of favorite pub food picks and it is a nice treat for anyone who wants a break from Weenies, and Beans. I'm already looking at booking for our 2021 holiday. Thank-you so very much Rick and Penny for a most relaxing holiday, you have no idea how much we enjoyed and appreciated the time we had at Barney's.

We camped at Barney's in our travel trailer in mid-September. The weather was fabulous. We had originally planned to stay only 2 nights but were so happy with the resort we decided to stay longer, using Barney's as our base camp for our adventures in the Chilcotin Plateau. The resort was very clean, and our hosts Skip and Shannon made our stay even better. Skip shared his local indigenous knowledge with us and it made our visit more relevant. We kayaked on the lake and were able to get within a few hundred meters of the white pelicans nesting there. I would definitely recommend Barney's to others.

This is an amazing resort. The grounds and cottages are well maintained and have everything you need. Shannon was an amazing host. 5 star resort all around. You will not be disappointed! The cottage had a kitchen was fully stocked and spotless. The beds were so comfortable. The barbecue was a great touch. We stayed there for my grandson's wedding by the waterfront.

Shannon and her husband were most accommodating to make the wedding went smoothly. The grounds were well maintained making it a picturesque setting for the wedding. The resort is located is in a remote area making it a stress free getaway from the busy hub of our lives. Although we did not fish others told us how amazing the fishing is there. We will definitely be back.

Reserved cabin in January and had to pay for it immediately to arrive in August. The fridge had food left in both freezer & fridge. I had to clean it before I used it. There was animal droppings on the floor and I discovered the next day it was from a BAT!! which I then trapped. The window sills were full of dead flies and bugs. There were cobwebs hanging everywhere. I discovered the floor had not been cleaned under the bed or behind the side tables for a long time. The public washrooms where not cleaned for the five days we where there. There were 14 people in our group so I spent most of my time outside or in their self contained units. A boat was rented one day and the motor quit running at the other end of the lake. The person in the boat was on the lake rowing for three hours before he had to be towed back! Very bad experience.

We rented a cabin and it was well cleaned when we arrived. The bathrooms were clean and the shower was hot! We had a great time paddling on the lake, even on a very hot day. The owners were away but the couple taking care of the place were super friendly and eager to help us out. I can't wait to go back!

We stayed here on our way to catch the ferry at Bella Coola. What a great find! It is a bit off the pavement but truly worth the little drive on gravel. Our site was lakefront and how beautiful it was! If you are needing a campsite out that way, we would recommend this one!

This place is perfect for the low-maintenance camper, the people who are used to less and who don't expect too much from their camping experience. All the super-positive reviews come from those who stayed in one of the cabins, but I went there in a
motorhome. To get there, one has to drive 5 kilometers over a very VERY bumpy gravel road, which is absolute torture when driving an expensive rental motorhome.
Upon arrival I was told the WiFi signal wouldn't go any further than the office, but at least the very friendly owner was honest about that - though that should be made clear on their website.
When I used the shower there was absolutely no hot water, and site #6 had no sani dump. Thankfully site #5 was not being used, so I could use that one.
Setting up took a bit of doing because the hook-up for my site was a bit oddly placed. There was one on either side of the vehicle, but only one had water.
To use the one that had the water, the nose of my motorhome almost ended up on the main path. I was so far forward that the greater part of my site was empty enough to park an A-Class behind.
But the site was also uneven, which called for the use of wedge levelers.
On a positive note: I *did* get to see the local pelicans, but I was too late to get a picture of them. Seeing wild pelicans really is fantastic!
It really is a beautiful location.

What an awesome time we had at this beautiful resort right on the lake! A wonderful cabin with amenities+++. Pots, pans, microwave, coffee pot, everything we needed. A wonderful fireplace kept us toasty warm. An outdoot firepit was ours for the use as well. So clean and so comfortable! Our hosts, Penny and Rick, were amazing. We can't wait to come back again, glamping or camping, to this slice of paradise. They have cabins, RV hookups, camping, and more.

It was a pleasure seeing you and Ron again, the quad ride was fun. Evening fires with a good glass of wine, lots of laughs is the key to great health, if you ever nee$ to get away from the city, you are always welcome for a peaceful getaway.
