Unfortunately, there aren't many options in Les Cayes. This hotel has a lot of rooms, so if you need to bring a group it's an option, but not a good one. For the price- ($100 per night!) we expected much more. I know that Haiti is expensive, but for the lack of quality it felt very unfair. The rooms were fine. They were decently large and the bed was clean and comfortable. We did appreciate the air conditioners, though in one room it barely worked. It was a bit noisy because it's on a busy street, but not too bad. The bathroom was a decent size. My bathroom was full of tiny flies that came out of the shower drain. One of our rooms had a completely non-functioning shower. When we turned the faucet, no water came out. A guy came up to look at it, said he was going to fix it, but then didn't. The rest of the rooms had no showerheads, just a single spigot shooting a jet of water out of the wall. They don't have hot water (which isn't a terrible issue since it's so hot in Les Cayes). We did find it rather funny that they have a laminated semi-permanent document in the room saying that they are working hard to fix the broken water heater. I tried 3 separate times to pay with my credit card and they could never get the machine working. Eventually I had to get cash to pay for our whole stay. The power also kept going out and would stay out for long periods. I know this is common in Haiti, but for a hotel of this size and price, they should have a generator. The wifi worked downstairs but not in the rooms. We appreciated the free bottled water at the front desk. Staff were mostly friendly, with varying levels of English proficiency. The breakfast buffet was decent, though it took quite a while for them to bring everything out (about 30 minutes between coffee and the rest of the items). They were able to make a nice lunch for us, too, with about an hour's notice. They have good secure parking. Overall, if you have no other option it will suffice, but I can't recommend it.

I came on business and didn't book the reservations. Took ages to process my credit card. Was promised clean bottled water would be at the bar, but there was none. Instead there were about 400 high schoolers celebrating their prom in the courtyard. Loud and horny. No beer left at the bar, or anything else for that matter. Room is big, and the AC works, but full of mosquitoes, and everything is falling apart. WIFI signal doesn't reach the room. There's a TV, but it won't turn on. Paid $100 for the room.

The hotel staff is very slow and unhelpful. The morning breakfast is very limited The Internet connection is working in the lobby only, no connection at all in the rooms. There is no pool. Parking lot is very crowded and difficult to manage. Very expensive, considering.

The hotel looks nice but only from the outside, no warm water, no lunch no dinner, not single effort to accommodate any requests from guests. I found it poor deal could be so much better with just little effort. The longer I stayed the smaller the breakfast got. The place is mostly deserted anyway.

We stayed only one night at Le Manguier, and it was one night too many. It's a pretty big hotel and looks nice once you get on the property. But don't expect too much beyond that. Despite our reservation, when we checked in the employee was so confused about the types of rooms we needed. When we finally got our room, we found the shower floor covered in mud, and we were missing towels and pillows. We asked for a new room because of the dirty shower, but we later found a live roach in the 2nd room. We called the front desk to kill the roach, so an employee came to spray it and then kicked the dead roach out the bathroom and dragged it with his foot out of the room. Disgusting. Other people in our group found two roaches in their room and it took up to 20 minutes to get a second towel (2 people were staying in the room, after all). I definitely would NOT recommend this hotel at all. Service is poor, rooms are dirty, the front desk is in disorder, there are many roaches, the food isn't great. We stayed in 5 hotels in various cities in Haiti during our trip and this one was by far the worst. Stay away.
