The rooms are nothing fancy but they are recently renovated and super clean. Breakfast is provided and a barbecue is available for you to cook you own meals. Grounds are nicely maintained and kayaks, paddle boards and pedalos are available for use. Also two newly renovated tennis courts. The atmosphere is peaceful and the views are magnificent. Thanks to Emma for a warm welcome!

can't say enough how amazing my stay at the Far Hills Hotel was. The staff there was truly dedicated to make sure each and every guest walking thru that door was well taken care off.

The two separate hotel section, the Spruce and the Cedar lodge, have great amenities, and you really can't go wrong staying in either one of them. My room was super spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The breakfast was plentiful and very delicious! The grounds are also well groomed, with activities like tennis, hiking, and Kayaking are available to each and every guest! I can't thank the general manager JP and his fantastic team enough for such an amazing hospitality! Merci beaucoup!

The atmosphere here so calm and rejuvenating. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. the rooms are very clean and very comfortable. To get to the lake you walk a short distance down a scenic trail that opens up onto the beach. The beach has access to kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boats everything you need to enjoy some time on the water. You will also find tennis courts onsite as well as an outdoor kitchen with a fabulous BBQ. St. Sauveur is 15 minutes away and Tremblant is 20 minutes away. I highly recommend the lodge. It is a true gem in the heart of the laurentians.!!!!!!

The walls AND ceiling are paper thin in the room we occupied. We could hear conversations and TV from next door and above. Every footstep was audible. The whole place felt cold and unwelcoming. It’s very far from town on top of a mountain on a steep snow covered road so once we got there the only food option was their restaurant. It took over an hour for our dinner (which was actually very good) but to long to wait as there was only one person in the kitchen. Cold breakfast semi buffet style served by a staff person so no help your self. Not very impressive.
I would not stay there again.

Stayed at Cedar Lodge last week for a few days just to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. What a great place to appreciate nature, with all the hiking trails, the beautiful beach and all the non-motorized toys that go with it, it was easy to do. Even Larry the loon, kept us entertained by showing off, fluffing his feathers. Also in our travels around the lodge, we saw deer a fox and many different birds. So my favorite part of this adventure was cooking in the outdoor kitchen! That BBQ had my name written all over it! Cooking Breakfast and dinner while enjoying the view, then eating dinner by the firepit, well that was a treat! Can't do that in the city! The staff there are very friendly and couldn't of made our stay any better. So happy they spoke english as my french, well is non existent. Didn't have any issues with that at the lodge or in the cute little towns that were in the area. Thank you we will be back!

What a great hotel, it has been renovated, rooms are clean, great staff and beautiful surroundings. We had a family event there and were amazed by the helpful staff at the Far Hills inn. You have to go there especially during fall when the leaves change colors, you can enjoy them from the comfort of you room, the terasse or by discovering the many trails surrounding the hotel. Or just go to enjoy the nature and spend some time away from the city. Highly recommend!!!

Good:
Location: in a park with hiking trails nearby, far from car traffic and commerce.
Amenities: Tennis courts, fire pit, hammocks, private beach with kayaks on a quiet lake.
Cleanliness: room was well prepared.
WiFi: reliable.

Bad:
My room was very cramped. Beyond 2 beds, there was space for only 1 chair.
No TV nor air conditioning in the room, only a coffee machine.
Included breakfast was very basic. If you need to eat more, there are no restaurants nearby.

Lots of opportunity once the hotel redevelopment is completed. Place was clean and quiet. Very few amenities, such as no tv in room, no bar, restaurant nor room cleaning. About 10 minutes from Val David and many other towns.

Very good stay, Ideal location, on edge of ski trails. Peaceful. Accommodations were modern and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Stairs, no elevator, which was fine. Booked the Cedar but was upgraded to the Spurce due to some maintenance . Sweet. Will return.

This is unequivocably the worst hotel experience I have ever had. It was billed as a trail accessible accommodation (and resort, no less) along the Parc Lineare Petit Train du Nord (PLPTDN) in Val Morin, Quebec. We (myself, wife, son, daughter and her 2 children) went on a bike trip from St Jerome along the PLPNTD and this was our first stop for 2 nights. We had a chariot bike carrier for the youngest and a giraffe for the older child. The hotel was billed as 2.8 km off the trail; instead it was 3.8 km (my odometer)up a very steep, winding, narrow road with no shoulder that was heavily travelled and dangerous- we had to walk the majority of the way on the road.
When we arrived, we were told that this wasn't really for cyclists who do not have a car:
1. Because of the road
2. There weren't any taxis to take you down the road into town (or for dinner, or to access stores, etc).
We arrived on a Tuesday to discover that the Bistro (which by the way, was excessively expensive and given the breakfast experience-see below- likely of dubious quality) at the Hotel was closed Monday and Tuesday, and we would be lucky to find any restaurant that was open on Tuesday and that would deliver to this place. There was no offer of help to find us a restaurant, and so we had to find the only pizza place that would deliver.
When we got to our room, we discovered that the bathroom exhaust fan ran continuously and was noisy, as was the A/C. Breakfast the next morning, at $15, consisted of half a devilled egg, a small undercooked croissant, small pieces of fruit, cheap bread for toast, undercooked muffins, 2 types of cereal and yogurt (and the next morning there was no cereal or yogurt). And, although they had ceramic coffee mugs, they didn't put them out because "it would be too many dishes to do" and only capitulated after demanding a cup ; and, the server on the second day, refused to give us ones "because it was too complicated!"
They advertise a beach with what appears to be paddle boards- there weren't any PB but there were 2 functional kayaks. There was a dock with picnic tables on it , partially submerged, next to the beach (which was reasonable for the kids); but when we sat at one of the picnic tables for lunch, it sank futher into to the lake and we had to move to higher ground (or get our life jackets)!
But, most egregiously, are 2 issues:
1. There was no on site night staff on either of the nights we were there, and were instead directed via a note taped to the front desk to use a phone to call if there was an issue. My son had to call 3 times to get in touch with anyone (wanting a drink of soda) and was told that it was not possible to get one after hours; when he asked what would happen if there was a more serious need, he received no good response; and remember, one is isolated at this place unless you have a car)
2. When checking out on Thursday, when we wanted to leave early at 830 ready to go for a long day on the trail, the staff arrived at 09:15 and refused to give a copy of the bill to review and stated that would it would only be sent later via email. And when we received the bill, there were dubious administrative charges, and it was overall difficult to decipher what, other than the room, was actually charged.
We left disgusted and taken advantage of and I hope this reveiw will prevent another person from experiencing the same thing.
