The web-site must be from ten years ago as this resort is tired and worn. It appears the owners have given up on the place. Our cottage had many minor repairs that needed fixing. The pool was not heated and the beach was not cleaned. The fitness facilities were a joke - some old junk that was put into a room - could not use anything in there. Overall overpriced and extremely disappointing. The best part of the stay was going for dinner at the resort next door.
We stayed this past November for a hockey tournament. The cottages are nothing special. Mouse faces in the drawers, and on the bathroom floor. Old VCRs, no TV in the rooms. The furniture in the rooms is old, dusty and had dead flies on it. The "games room" had a pool table with no cues that were usable and it was missing several balls. The one TV with cable was in the common area but the lights kept turning off unexpectedly. I made the mistake of going behind the doors of the common area to look for a cleaning bottle or staff - looks like a hoarders house. One of the team parents turned on the fan in their room and a blade was ejected and flew across the room. Funniest part is there was a picture book in the common area of the resort in the 50s and 60s. IT IS QUITE CLEAR THAT THE 50s and 60s WAS THE HAYDAY OF THIS RESORT!! For the price we all paid you'd expect some upkeep and care being put into the place. I would never suggest this place to anyone.…
My husband and I stayed at this resort for 2 nights. We stated at the honey suit. Its such a beautiful resort by the lake and has lots if sport activities such as beach volleyball, basketball, boat, etc. The rooms were beautiful about old but it gives you that cottage feeling The owner is very friendly. Overall an amazing experience
my family just spent 1 week at the halimar resort . we all had a great time and already miss being there . our cottage was perfect , lots of space and very updated . my kids loved the salt water pool and also the lake . the staff are super friendly and very helpful . i would go back there year after year with my family and wished we had discovered halimar before . lots to do with plenty of outdoor and indoor activities . we all agree that halimar was the perfect holiday !
The Halimar Resort is the perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of life. It is quiet and peaceful, yet fun and playful as well. Activities included ping pong, billiards, swimming pool with diving board, basketball, volleyball, canoeing, trampoline on the water, hot tub, sauna, weight room, bbq's and so much more. The view from the resort is breathtaking, you can go boating or just sit on the beach and enjoy the tranquility of life. The service is excellent and the cabin is very romantic and sexy. It had everything I needed and very comfortable. I would definitely stay at the Halimar Resort again and again, infact, I plan to go back at the end of the month!
