I looked up this Inn on Google in July, to see if their restaurant needed reservations. 3 weeks later I got an email from TripAdvisor, asking me about my stay there. Be very afraid !!! Google sells your information. Your Bank Account info might be next.

The cabin is very old, the bathroom grout has the black things (or is it mold) on the grout, this is expected for old bathrooms. Mini fridge works, microwave works. No A/C, good thing there are fans in each room. THe cabin is very small and very dimly lit (only lamps). It is not worth the price we paid for. The staff is ok.

The gem in the Highlands. The Inn is beautifully situated and close to all that Haliburton has to offer. The new owners are wonderful and the staff response was quick to answer any little problem. We are already planning on returning next summer.

Stayed here for 5 dys for our 40th Anniversary. So many fun things to do right on site. Para-sailing - out of this world experience. Captain & crew were amazingly confident and made me feel safe. Canopy tree tour -not too far away. A must do. Algonquin park not too far away. Many water activities available lots included with the package. Must mention the Staff-the warmth & friendliness-Andrea, the Cooks, the Staff on the patio- thank you all for giving me the much needed R&R and good memories. Our room was the Lake View Suite #12 and was perfect- beautiful view. Room was clean and spotless.

This was my first time there, and I can't wait to come back! We went for a girls weekend and jad the best time. I will definitely return for a couples retreat. The venue, the views, the food, and the customer service was absolutely top notch! Bravo folks. Well done. See you next time.

Easy check in. Very pleasant staff in reception and restaurant. WE had no contact with cleaning staff due to covid restrictions, no room service, I cannot comment. Very clean, towels delivered in a plastic bag for sanitation issues, I guess. They took care of the covid situation. I felt safe. The facility is a bit run down, we were in a renovated room but the old/antique huge furniture, took away the feeling of clean and cozy. Shower is a bit tight but water was warm and had good pressure. View of the lake partially obstructed by restaurant/bar. The room had kettle, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Excellent service in dinning room. Food not so good. They tried their best though.

With travel outside Canada not realistic during the current health situation we decided to stay within Ontario. We looked forward to a change of scenery and although we found some cheaper options booked at Bonnie View based on the reviews. The location is lovely but the resort and equipment is in need of maintenance. Everything in the room looked old and dingy. The resort offers free boats & bikes but the bikes were rusty, some had no air in the tires and were in need of tune ups. The helmets were dirty and most were cracked. In the evenings the office/ lounge closes at 9pm so there is nothing to do. We had been told we could light the fire pit but as non smokers, we had no matches or lighter. We felt we had no choice but to go to bed early, only to be woken up by a group that decided to party on the lawn and dock area... playing music, talking loudly and had no consideration for others. They were also throwing their cigarette butts on the ground, and into the lake. The walls must have very little insulation as once the party people left and we tried to go back to sleep we could literally hear someone snoring... In the morning we tried to shower and were prepared that it may take time for the water to get hot but even when it warmed up there was hardly any water pressure, certainly not enough to wash long hair. The breakfast was great - freshly cooked and tasty. It was however more expensive than had been indicated online. Not a big deal but just added to our disappointment. Now I remember why many people do not travel within Canada.... too expensive at $200 per night with no meals.
