The room looked really shabby and outdated but since we are not fussy, decided not to worry about it for one night. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. I liked the quality of the tv, fridge, etc. The staff were very friendly and the free hot breakfast was great. I would stay there again.

Our room was clean but it smelled like a room that was converted to non smoking. Bed was comfortable but we had a very bad thunder and lightening storm so we wasn't able to sleep . Breakfast was included in room price which was a cooked hot meal of bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast , tea, or coffee which was so good.

We stayed here two years ago in the lovely town of Sussex, this time traveling with a dog. There are separate rooms for dog owners, maybe a little more worn as a result. Unfortunately a previous guest had smoked in the room, leaving a noticeable smell in the mattress when turning over. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and quiet, and we loved the full course breakfast in the restaurant that is included with the room rate.

The food selection was good and had good portion sizes. Would recommend the seafood chowder. Shoutout to our waiter (Jody) for being fast and incredibly friendly. Did not stay at the hotel, just stopped at the restaurant.

Simply the best - so much seafood, every spoonful was overflowing with rich goodness. Served with crackers and homemade roll, more than enough for supper so I HAD to take home the absolute best coconut cream pie ever. My husband and I had to share one piece, which conveniently left another piece to share for lunch the next day. Oh well, glad to be able to take one for the team!!

A very busy and popular restaurant catering to young and old. Staff are prompt and friendly and food is plentiful - actually more than enough - and tasty. Gets a bit noisy but hey, that's what happens when there are many customers. Will be back again.

We recently revisited this motel as we always find the staff friendly, the food excellent and the motel clean and welcoming. My wife and I both love animals and a sign at the check-in desk caught my eye and I would like to repeat it here. The sign read as follows: Dogs are welcome in this Motel. We never had a dog that smoked in bed and set fire to the blankets. We have never had a dog that stole our towels, played the television too loud or had a noisy fight with his travelling companion. We never had a dog that got drunk and broke up the furniture. So if your dog can vouch for you, you are welcome here too!!! What could be truer than these words. Many hotels/motel charge a fee if you have a pet, and some will not allow any at all. In the United States, there are many of these fees (taxes) applied to your bill, so beware, and move on to a motel/hotel that loves our wonderful little friends.
