I randomly found this place online while looking for a place to sleep that allowed dogs and I was not disappointed. We had the 2 bedroom suite and it was huge! It's in an old house and the decor was charming. It has every thing you need to make yourself at home (it even has a dishwasher). The owners are... More

A old house with a lot of character that has been converted into large suites (including full kitchen). Comfortable accommodations and prices are very reasonable. Overall a great place to stay. I see it is for sale - hopefully will stay open for years to come.

We travel to Sussex, NB yearly for the annual Flea Market. For the past 5 years we have been staying in local motels overnight in order to get an early start. When I tried booking a motel in June, the rooms were already taken so I turned to the Maple Shade. I booked the one bedroom suite for a one-night... More

We stayed here for an evening while skiing at the nearby mountain. The suite was HUGE, fully stocked, so quiet and comfortable, and above all, amazingly priced! The home had such character, and we had an entire floor of a house to ourselves. We couldn't believe our luck. The owner was lovely and warm and gave us tons of suggestions... More

I stayed here with 4 other friends and the place was absolutely beautiful!! Very large and spacious and above all the owner is warm and friendly. They wanted to make sure that we were very happy and who wouldn't be with the large bedrooms and very spacious home! We had the entire upper floor of this Victorian home and it... More

I was at the Shady Maple apartment with 4 other friends. We booked the apartment from Friday to Sunday for a craft weekend. We did scrapbooking, made cards, needle point and just having fun with some friends. We were thrilled with the accomodations. We each brought a meal with us to cook, fanstastic kitchen, fully stocked. Living room, dining room... More

We were pleasantly surprised with our accommodations! The restaurant that was recommended was outstanding ! We had a great night sleep, comfortable beds and it was quiet. No street noise. The breakfast served to us in the morning was awesome! Best French toast I've ever had! The yogurt parfait with fresh strawberries and raspberry was so delicious! Thank you!!

When unexpected weather cancelled our long awaited trip to Newfoundland, my family of 6 were in a scramble to find a suitable short ski trip. Thanks to maple shade, our trip was a great success . Our three bedroom apartment in this huge old house was cute and rustic. It was a huge space, which included three big bedrooms, a... More
