We rented cottage 5 and it was very suitable for our stay for four people. There were two double beds and one room had an extra single bed. The bathroom has a stand up shower for your convenience. The kitchen has basics like a mini-fridge, microwave, and small coffee maker with four mugs. No utensils or dishes included. Very friendly people and a nice dog. Breakfast was delicious! There is gas on site for bikes/snowmobiling.

They have the cleanest, friendliest facility. Hosts are pleasant and very helpful. I would recommend this lodge for it's beautiful lodgings and the restaurants food is delicious. If you love the outdoors for hiking, biking or visiting for a meal come to adairs. The Fundy Trail is at three backdoor, you wo t be disappointed with the view along the coast of the Nay of Fundy.

We rented the honeymoon cabin for a family weekend. We ran into some complications with the air conditioning not working which could have easily ruined our trip due to the heat wave. Honestly the owners made our trip. They drove out of town and purchased a new air conditioner and replaced it while we were sitting outside admiring the view. The stay was wonderful! The food at the resturant was the quickest service I have ever had and such good food. There dog is super sweet also. I would 100% recommend this place!

Adair's Wilderness Lodge is an attractive facility in attractive surroundings. Here is additional information which may be useful to travelers.

1. My travel destination was St. Martins. Accordingly, I looked on the Accommodation page of the St. Martins and District Chamber of Commerce. Adair's advertises on this page. Visitors to the St. Martins and District CofC website should be aware that Adair's is not in the St. Martins district. It is more than an hour's drive from St. Martins.

2. We arrived at 9:25 pm in prime travel season. The main building was locked and the lights were turned off. However, I could see a person inside. I knocked. She came to the door and said "We're closed." I said "I have a booking." She let me in and gave me my key.

The following day, I asked, and was told, that the office closes at 8:00 pm.

The Adair's website does not indicate closing hours. I made my booking by phone. I was not told of closing hours. There is no sign on the door indicating closing hours. There is no sign on the door giving an after-hours phone number. In any case, cell service in the area is unreliable.

Adair's clients should be aware that if they arrive after 8:00 pm they might be spending the night in their car.

3. In our room, we noticed some human hair on the sheets. Further inspection located an eyelash and several more hairs on the sheets of both beds, on the pillows, and inside one pillow case.

Clients of Adair's might wish to inspect the bedding before turning in for the night.

Neglected place-weeds and tall grass everywhere--cabins have a musty odor, are dirty and full of dust; some windows don't close; spider webs everywhere inside the cabins and around the windows; lacks basic necessities ; WIFI doesn't work; no playground for kids; isolated. Restaurant very expensive for greasy food and beverages. Stay in the town of Sussex.

We went through the Fundy Trail and decided to stop at Adair’s for lunch. The food was terrible will not stop there again. I know with Covid that things have changed but you can still cook food the same. I felt bad for the waitress as she was doing everything from getting and taking food orders to having to go outside to serve ice cream and gas that girl need a raise. Meanwhile the owners are there not even trying to help her a couple of guests ask if they could help her. Next time we go through will either take a picnic or stop in St Martins.

There was lots to choose from for food and it was great and hospitality was far among the best. Probably the best breakfast we’ve ever had. The rooms were nice and clean and showers were hot. Will definitely be returning again.

My husband and I trekked out the Adair's Wilderness Lodge for a late lunch/early supper.
The lodge itself was nice and what one would expect from a wilderness lodge. We asked about the seafood platter and was advised it was frozen fish (when we specifically asked if frozen or fresh) so we really should have taken our cue from that. We had an appie of wings and onion rings. Not even good frozen appies. Absolutely tasteless. I had the seafood chowder for my meal which again, was tasteless. You have to tell them if you want white fish or clams so I am guessing it is a milk stew until you tell them and they add the fish of choice which means no fish flavor. Stew is not the right word either as it was just milk with mostly celery and some potatoes. The bun was good though. My husband had lobster roll and potato salad. Again, tasteless seafood and his potato salad tasted old and had "that fridge taste". I am guessing the people who rated this as a 5 star had something different to eat then us, or I note some people didn't eat there but just stayed there. I feel bad rating this so low but it was one of the worst meals we ever had :(

I joined three of my sisters on the first ever sister's trip together. We had decided on Maine and Nova Scotia, but when we found this place, and having as our maiden name "Adair," we simply had to make a stop in-between the two at Adair's Wilderness Lodge. So, while we aren't hunters, snowmobilers, or any of the other kinds of outdoorspersons one might expect to visit here, we did appreciate great warmth and hospitality by the owners. This place is really gorgeous inside, for being in such a rustic location. The woodworking in the lodge and cabins is fabulous, and the brand new banquet hall is a marvel of blond wood. It boasts a mural spouting history of this tract of land and the growth of the Lodge, and from what I gather, it is quite popular for wedding receptions. I can see why. -- Do think of Adair's Wilderness Lodge if you want the comforts of home (heat, air conditioning, full facilities, restaurant and even a gas station!) on your wilderness vacation. Very recommendable!

When we arrived with our 53 ft trailer in Sussex Corner to assist homeowners in recovering from the flood, Larry & Ida (owners of Adair's Wilderness Lodge) graciously offered the use of their amazing lodge to house our site team consisting of 8-12 people from Apr 20 to May 10. They were our 'haven of rest' @ the end of a weary day especially when working 6 days a week from 6:30 am to 7 pm daily. What a privilege to experience such hospitality, home cooking & wonderful accommodations. We have forged lasting friendships & look forward to returning on a vacation to this amazing place. If you want a place where you are welcomed with open arms, made to feel @ home, peace & quiet in the woods & amazing home cooked meals then this is the place for you!!!! This place is a 'DIAMOND IN THE WILDERNESS'.
