Upon our arrival to the Inn we were upgraded at no extra cost to a much better room. We were also travelling with 3 sports teams so they also put us in a different building away from the kids. Each day there was a complementary hot breakfast consisting of hash browns, eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well. I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the Sussex area.
This is now called the Fairway Inn. The location just on the outskirts of Sussex is great. Can be downtown in a matter of minutes. The rooms were find. Nothing spectacular but clean and cozy. The hot breakfast was a real surprise. It is actually at the diner on the property and is a full bacon, egg and hash brown breakfast. This is a great location to see the covered bridges. We would stay again if we returned.
This is now the Fairway Inn and not part of the Quality Inn chain. Although we had stayed here before and were previously satisfied, it wasn't good this time. Our room was near the ice machine and the pool, so it wasn't that quiet. People were using the pool up to 10 pm, so it didn't make for the quietest night. Then, someone upstairs from us was clunking around after 4:00 am, so no sleep after that. The diner is good and the prices are reasonable, but apart from that, I can't recommend this place.
The hotel was ok. It was located close enough to where we wanted to go...but when we arrived the garbage basket had not been emptied and in the a.m. the plumbing did not work. The supper and breakfast in the diner was typical diner food, service was good. If one could use 1/2 stars I would give 21/2 stars for cleanliness...
This motel is conveniently located jut off the Trans Canada Highway (exit 193) in Sussex. Now called the Fairway Inn and is under new management. The reservation/reception staff is very friendly and onbliging. Check in/check out were a breeze. We stayed on the second floor just in back of the section where the reception area is located. The room was a decent size compared to others in the town of Sussex where we have stayed in the past. The halls are very dated but the rooms were clean, the bed very comfortable. The plated included breakfast the next morning includes two eggs any style, bacon.ham or sausage, hash browns, four slices of toast and tea or coffee. The breakfast was great, served hot and not greasy at all. There is also a menu if you don't want the included…
This now operates as "The Fairway Inn" and is just off hwy 1, exit 193. The rooms are your average hotel room, a bit dated, but clean. Rooms have 2 doors, one to an interior hallway, and one outside. I didn't use the pool, but did make use of the laundry facilities which were convenient. I was most surprised by the complimentary breakfast, which was the biggest I've ever eaten! It included 2 eggs, toast, pan fries, your choice of ham or bacon, and juice.
The motel is now called Fairway Inn (formerly Quality Inn). Nicest feature is the large indoor pool. Otherwise, it is a fairly typical motel located just off a major highway. Don't bother with the free continental breakfast (just cereal/toast); better choice is to use the voucher for $2 discount off the breakfast selection of your choice in the hotel's vintage diner.
