We've been traveling through Canada for almost two weeks, and Michael’s Lodge has unquestionably been the worst place we've stayed at so far.
The place was so dirty that walking around inside gave us black feet. In our room, neither the air conditioning nor the fan worked, there was no toilet paper, and in the entire large house with three kitchens, we couldn't find a single glass for a nightcap.
Outside, the local hillbillies were racing up until late at night, and at 1 AM, the neighbor came home noisily, coughing and groaning—everything could be clearly heard through the thin doors and windows.
We might have managed a couple of hours of sleep towards the morning, but we left feeling completely exhausted. So yes, you might save some money on the accommodation, but what's a good night's sleep worth?

• No action to secure the toilet seat, after notifying owner
• Black mold in the corners of the shower, we couldn’t use the shower
• Old stained bath towels
• Hot water is obviously turned to a low temperature, straight hot water was not hot
• Generally poor cleaning at this accommodation
* Only 2 pillows provided, no extras, no blankets, no hangars for closet
* Major dust bunnies under the bed, generally a dirty, unsanitary home
• Black mold in the corners of the shower, we couldn’t use the shower
