We are still confused about the name of this place. The place we stayed at was K+R but we were not sure if this was a relatively new name for old cabins. After reading previous reviews, we were definitely freaking out about staying here with our 4 month old baby and 2 year old toddler. Upon arrival, however, we were...

These buildings should have been condemned before they were dragged into Candle Lake in the 1960's. I thought they had been improved but found them smelly, dirty, and run down as before. The owners have no desire to help customers.

Make sure you have your shots up to date. Only thing missing is a guy standing in the woods with a hockey mask and machete. The owner walks around dazed and confused, just clueless. Don't eat any food at joes cabin it's a joke they only have burgers and chicken nuggets. The bun was stale and freezer burned I took...

Me and my girlfriend wanted to have a little girls get away for the weekend but not wanting to spend an arm and a leg. We decided to go with these or joe's cabins or ricks cabins or C & K cabins (whatever their name is) just bc they seemed to be "ok".... Not even close. We like adventures but...

Biggest Understatement Ever: All units are light housekeeping. And and insult to the term "rustic." My husband, daughter, and I stayed here in 2010 after a wedding. The room was so bad we considered checking out, and driving home. However, after a long day, we chose to chance it. In theory I think this establishment only survives because of its...

Do not stay here! If you are reading these reviews and thinking to yourself "it can't be that bad", IT IS THAT BAD. Please understand the difference between "rustic" and "old and not taken care of". Our place was run down, smelly, filthy dirty, so HOT and humid that we had trouble breathing!!! The TV did not work, the water...

This place is a hell hole. We stayed in both the cabins and the hotel room based on the size of our group. The cabin can best be described as a shack, cable tv consisted on AMC and that was all. Beds were terrible, one bed in the motel had bed bugs. The web site makes the place seem alight...

Would not recommend this place for the amount of money they wanted per night. The cabin was very "rustic", had holes in the walls, only one coat of paint, ramp was rotten and falling apart, very minimal utensils and cooking pans. But it did have a bathroom and a roof over our heads so was not a total waste. It...

Rustic but very c lean when we got there. Cabin got hot during the day but when we got back in the evening and opened the windows with the fan going cooled off right away. Needed to bring own sleeping bags. Small TV available (we brought our own dvd player). Kitchen was complete with large fridge. Flush toilet and shower...

Thouht we would spend a couple of nights at Candle Lake, typed in cabin rentals and up pops Joes Cabins. Website looked pretty good - picture of the cabins was pretty promising. Pulled up to the lodge to check in (this should have been the first sign for us), looked like something from a horror film...OK, let's give them the...
