What an excellent little spot it is just outside of shediac , just far enough to be remote and out of the way so you have peace and quiet, every room is identical and they are simply perfect, spotlessly clean, excellent decor and feeling, I loved the wood and cabin type feel to the rooms.. we went with two other couples and the owner was more than friendly and happily made sure our rooms were close together, owner was hard to understand as we had a language barrier and I don't understand french at all but he tried his best to talk English and was more than friendly.. the kitchenette had all utensils and cups and plates.. basically anything we could have needed was right there.. I'm beyond impressed and most certainly would go again especially considering the low price.. don't let the low price fool you, this is an excellent spot..

Great value. Roomy. Super Clean. Lots of amenities. Best bed you could have in a hotel. All I can say are superlatives. Friendly staff who answered our questions and went back in forth in French and English following our lead. Close to some nice walking and beaches, not to mention the golf course.

Room Tip: Tall ceilings so you could avoid the climb by asking for a main floor room.

We stayed here Saturday, March 12th as a couple. We surprised by the location, it isn't very secluded. However, when you enter the room you are taken away! You feel like you are in a romantic rustic lodge in the middle of no where. Very beautiful and well decorated. Comfortable bed, modern amenities. We didn't realize we'd have a fun kitchen, would be great to stay there for a week. The spa was amazing - we had it to ourselves for 1.5 hours, sitting in the hot tub as the sun set. Never did anything like that before and found it very relaxing and refreshing.

If you're looking for a place that isn't clean, that the landlord is disrespectful and ignorant, that isn't quiet at all, that you have to fix everything by yourself, that smells like sh*** and that isn't relaxing at all, well i got good news for you! this is the perfect place for you! We first moved in, around Christmas time and the landlord was ignorant and disrespectful to my boyfriend just because he didn't speak french and he only spoke french. When we first got in the place, nothing was clean, the floors where so dirty we had to clean it twice and was still really dirty, the bathroom was really gross as well, the shower didn't get washed in forever you couldn't even see threw the glass door of the shower almost, there was wholes in the walls and blood stain everywhere in the bathroom, the window in the bedroom when you opened it, it would fall in your hand and when we advise him about it, he never came and fix it (we stayed there for 3 month). Also, the toilet was leaking for a month and he just never came to fix it, so we had to clean water off the floor everyday. Someone ran over the sewer and the whole property and in the apartment you could smell the sh*** and that went on over a month till we decided to move because we couldn't take it anymore to live in this sh*** hole anymore. The furniture was also really disgusting, it was falling apart and we had to pick up piece of it on the floor all the time and if we had a problem, the landlord would tell us to fix it ourselves. He also gave our information to the other people in the apartment without asking and told them we would fix things wrong in their apartment. On top of that, when we first moved in, he told us pets were welcomed and we could have pets but he didn't mention that there was certain apartment that they could go in, so we had to change place a week after and move all of our stuff again, made me call the people from the other rooms to see if they would like to change apartment and he didn't even want to call himself and just shared the information of others once again. This place is seriously the worst place I have ever stayed and wouldn't recommend it at all to anybody! If i could I wouldn't even put a 1 star, I would put none but i had to put at least 1. You pay a lot for a place that isn't even worth that much for everything you have to do and deal with.

Pro
Great central location to Bouctouche, Shediac and Moncton

Stove and oven for meal prep

Cons
Limited hours to access hot tub and sauna - arrived at 7 pm and was already closed

Additional charge of $20 per person for 2 hours

Candles nice touch, but scented - many different scents which with heat made your throat scratchy

Walls very "thin" could hear guests in next room talk, whistle, etcetera if you know what I mean

Linens not changed - stayed 3 nights and had to ask for clean towels

Only two small garbage tins - again not emptied even though we posted the please clean room sign on door

Dead flies in light fixtures and around windows

Small apartment size refrigerator

No baking pans

Limited silver wear - 2 each of forks, knives and spoons

Toilet had a lazy flush - tissue did not fully go down drain until multiple flushes

Water - shower not hot

This is a visually appealing facility, but be warned there was no air conditioning and we had a near 30C day and this made sleep nearly impossible. This was further complicated by the fact that we were unable to open the door to the patio deck due to the dead bolt being bound. Would be a great stop if a few repairs were made. Sleep should be one of the priorities.

I should have read the Trip Advisor reviews and I would not have booked this place. Like a previous visitor, our room was so hot we could not sleep part of the night. No air circulation at all.

In addition, there were only basket type filters for a "cone" coffee machine. When I asked for different filters, I was told to use the basket type as"they will work". They worked but the was no coffee cups/mugs or even coffee in the room.

There is a narrow deck on the second floor where we were but it rained and there is no overhang to protect from the rain. WI-FI worked but was quite slow.
Their web site make it look great but I would recommend you drive a few extra km to Moncton and get a decent place for the price I paid (with pool, Internet and breakfast!).

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here! The cabin was very clean and comfortable with enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids. The owner was very caring and welcoming (although only spoke French). This was a great central place to travel to Hopewell rocks, Parlee Beach, and Moncton. We would definitely recommend staying here and would return if we come back to the Shediac area.

Looked for the sauna at the place, only to find out it was my room. No air conditioning in the room even though there is a thermostat in the wall suggesting otherwise. You can cool off by opening your windows, but don't expect privacy as the balcony is shared with another room. Bring a flashlight to shower as turning the lights on may cause a short and burn out the light bulbs. All this can be yours for 180 a night. Don't let the log cabin appearance fool you, cause that's the only nice thing about this place.

Lovely place! Beautiful location. Very helpful owner. Loved it, would come back, and would absolutely recommend!
Not far from Shediac. Specious room with kitchen. Very tasteful. Clean, soft towels, hot water. Beautiful nature around. Very quiet.
