I was planning a major event for dozens of people. The budget was easily 7 to 8 thousand dollars. I was planning on booking at least 15 rooms and other facilities. The hotel did not respond to multiple emails and direct messages to the hotel in September - not even an auto-reply. I am not sure what is up, but I see with other non TripAdvisor reviews this is an issue with this place. Maybe due to COVID? Maybe due to short staffing due to the pandemic etc? To not even have an acknowledgement email or anything is very concerning. I recommend being very cautious when attempting a booking with this hotel.
Stayed at the Lodge for a work trip and loved every minute of it. The location is breathtaking and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Really enjoyed the variety of buffet food and custom cocktails from the bar. Don't let the shared showers and bathrooms be a surprise!
This is a perfect location for a company retreat. The meeting rooms were flexible for different activities from sofas to boardroom style and all with a beautiful view of the bay. The weather was perfect so we were able to enjoy our breakfast and lunch out on the sundeck. The caterers did an excellent job with our meals. Everything was well prepared and ready for us. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds were very cozy. The shared bathrooms were not an issue at all. They were spotlessly clean and spacious. Staff were attentive and very easy to work with. We would go back.
This is a charming property located in beautiful, West Coast setting. Rooms are clean, and comfortable, with cozy beds and linens. The amenities provided are like those in dorm-style accommodations and these were clean and pleasant. The great hall gathering space is truly wonderful with a fireplace and comfy sofas.
we stayed in this wonderful cabin at Bowen Island Lodge, a most beautiful spot on the planet, what more can one ask for than a lovely cottage on the water, sailboats, beautiful gardens and an exceptional staff. Go, you will love it..
Very clean. Not a hotel. Rooms do not have a bathroom but the bathroom is central. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent grounds with lots of parking. On the water with amazing views. The hall was just the roomy enough for our group and the staff served the food promptly. I highly recommend the lodge for your group event.
The staff and facilities were exceptional for our celebration this past weekend. The staff were so helpful, accommodating, and genuinely friendly. The setting was lovely and comfortable. I would definitely plan future events here.
We stayed in the lovely Seaside Cottage. Fantastic view and location. Walking distance to shops and services and walking/hiking trails. Close to Vancouver but felt like a long way away. The patio in front of the cottage was fairly private and commanded a fabulous view of the cove. Birds in abundance. Cottage was comfortable and recently updated. Staff were friendly and eager to please. Boat dock could provide great stopping point to get off the water and stay in a real bed for a night or two. Super facility for weddings, retreats, family reunions.
Take a ferry from Horseshoe bay - lovely lodges - great greenery and peace and quiet and some water sports. Plenty of things to do- long walks, water sports good family time. Good when with a few few friends
We just went for a course retreat over the weekend and it was AMAZING. So close to the ferry and one of the little shopping areas as well as hiking trails, the lake, and the marina. I swear, within a couple hours of being there we were totally relaxed as it was just so peaceful. The owner takes very good care of the lodge (and I assume the smaller cabin though I didn't get to see it as someone else was in it). The food is catering and was excellent as were the choices of wines. He closes bar early which was good for our purposes, but know that if there, bar's done around 10pm. There is, however, an excellent little wine shoppe in the shopping area close by. It's NOT a hotel so there are shared bathrooms and the rooms have just beds, tables, and a TV. But that's all you need as you won't be spending much time there given how much else is around. There are games for playing outside, hikes to take, water to jump into (it's cold but fun), and boats to ride. I highly recommend checking this place out - all of us had a blast (two adults, a 12-year-old, and a 4-year-old).…
