Hopefully not all the rooms in the lodge are like room 22. My husband and I recently booked a stay in the lodge, looking at the photos online I had high hopes. We were given room 22. Ground entrance room with an ocean glimpse off of the deck. We knew there was only one room in the lodge that didn't have a jacuzzi, and room 22 was that one. I thought maybe they'd make up for it by having something nicer than the other rooms but they didn't. The room didn't even have a picture on the wall. Literally not one wall hanging of any kind. We stared at one giant white wall. The bathroom didn't have hooks to hang your towels, and if you wanted to put your face cloth anywhere they drilled a screw into the grout of the shower for you to use. They have self pumping shampoo, conditioner, and body soap which is fine. But the conditioner was clogged so you had to take the lid off of container and scoop it out with your hands which made an awful mess. If someone is staying in the room above you, be prepared to hear everything, even them turning on their water. We paid for a cleaning fee, but they have instructions for you to strip your own bedding and put it in the bin along with your towels to help out Housekeeping. Why would I strip the bed if I'm paying a fee to have it done?! Lighting in the parking lot is very poor...actually there just isnt lighting at all so prepare to use a flashlight if you happen to come in after dark. Hard to believe we'd ever come here again. I hope the cabins are nothing like this as they are building new ones on site.

Hello alatimer20, When you made your booking did you read the room description on our website? Look at the photos and do the video tours? We publish this information on our website so that guests are empowered with all the information that they need to make a booking. We would love to hear from you to know how you think our advertisement of this suite could be more clear. Correct. There is no art on the walls in suite 22, which you see in the published pictures of the Deluxe Lodge Suites online. There are big windows, and a sliding door with a beautiful balcony that has a view of old growth spruce and cedar trees instead of art on the walls. Although we advertise it as 'rainforest view' you can even see the ocean from suite 22. There is a tree right above your balcony that a bald eagle is often perched upon. Pretty awesome to look at in my opinion! Yes, we use self pumping dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash in our rentals to eliminate unnecessary waste of single use plastic. We wish that you had let us know that your conditioner was clogged as we would have had someone fix this for you right away. Suite 22 has a large accessible rainforest shower equipped with two shower heads, and a fold out platform to sit on while in the shower if one choses. There is a towel rack right next to the shower. Yes, we have a tote for used linens in all rentals. No, we do not ask our guests to strip their beds. We are a small property management company, and cleaning fees are common within our industry. Again, this cleaning fee was advertised prior to you making your booking. We hope that the next time you make a booking you take the time to read room descriptions prior to making your booking. We manage some very lovely stand alone ocean front cabins that you might love, and the new cabins which are being built are going to be stunning! Kindly, Emma and the Cabins Team

We rented 3 Rainforest 2 bedroom cabins - Starboard side for our whole family and it was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the cabins are very clean and comfortable. The best beds! Sunsets are beautiful and we did lots of kayaking in the bay area. The kids loved to see the little crabs and sea anemones between the rocks. We will definitely visit again.

Hello Kdb6789, Thank you for taking the time to write such an excellent review of your stay with us at CabinNation. It sounds like you really got out into nature and enjoyed the beautiful area surrounding your cabin with your family. We are so fortunate to be located on Terrace Beach and the Wild Pacific Trail. We love watching the delight on beach combers face at low tide on Terrace Beach. There is so much to see! As you discovered by Kayak the sea life in the area surrounding us is incredible. We are glad your 3 cabins were clean, comfy and cozy. We get a lot of compliments on those beds. Great to hear you had a good restful stay. We truly hope to see your family again some day. You were a real pleasure to host! Thanks again for the great review. Kindly, Emma and the Cabins Team

Stayed Rainforest 2 Bedroom Cabin - Starboard Side July 10th to July 13th 2022 We originally planed to stay in Tofino however accommodations were very limited at time of booking. We also found hotels to be a little pricier in Tofino. We decided to explore The Cabins at Terrace Beach - Ucluelet. Absolutely no regrets ! The cabin was clean, well equipped and beds were super comfortable. I did not see any advantage to starboard or portside cabins. The sofa bed is ok for children but I would hesitate if two adults had to sleep on it. Both bedrooms are quite large. There is a fan in the upper bedroom. The dryer did not work as well as we would have liked but this was not a major issue. It was very slow to dry. You are within walking distance to the Pacific Trail which is an amazing hike. The Cabins are located within a 5 minutes drive of a coop store where you can purchase just about anything. We got some firewood and made fires on the beach and roasted marshmallows. The beach is a short walk from your cabin. I was concerned about the self serve check inn process. It was flawless and easy. Do not let this stress you out as it did me! LOL Our toaster broke on the second day. I called the number they gave us and we had a new toaster delivered to our door within minutes. Very impressed! Help is just a phone call away. We had no issues with noise. The Cabins are really easy to find! We explored Tofino and all the beaches in the area from Ucluelet. It's a very reasonable drive to Tofino. We did find that dinning choices were a little limited in Ucluelet. Some restaurants were closed on the days we were there. We did picnic at some of the beaches in the area. They do ask you to strip the beds and place all towels in a bin at the end of your stay. They also request that you start the dishwasher before leaving. I guess it keeps the cost down but I would have preferred not having to do any of this. Holidays for me are about not doing the stuff I would do at home. However it was not a big deal. We enjoyed ourselves and would not hesitate to recommend The Cabins at Terrace Beach. Thank You !

We rented the nest for 3 nights and couldnt have made a better choice . Lovely views and very well laid out . You can walk to the lighthouse loop trail and is a short drive to the wild pacific trail . We had a problem with one of the lights and the dryer start knob which were adressed immediately . Water pressure in both bathrooms was great . The only thing i found was a bit much was that they ask you to strip the beds and put in totes the day you are leaving . For someone paying 500 dollars per night i find that request unacceptable .

Hello MikelD1630UB, Thank you for your great review of your stay with us in the beautiful Ocean Front "Nest" cabin. We are glad you enjoyed the stunning views in the Nest and the layout of the cabin. The Nest Cabin is one of our most popular cabins. It truly is gorgeous. Stripping the linens in your cabin is not something we require of our guests. We have found that many people strip their linens anyway so we provide totes for linens in our rentals "if you have time" as it really helps out our small housekeeping team. Thank you for your kind words about our Guest Services Team. Our team is always very helpful. We are glad you let us know about your light bulb and your dryer knob so that we were able to fix it right away. Please note that what you paid for this gorgeous Ocean Front Cabin is a great deal for the summer. All our rates are competitive with other accommodations in the area and ocean front rentals in Tofino and Ucluelet are typically higher than the rate you lucked out with. We hope that you enjoyed the location above the beach next to the Wild Pacific Trail Light House loop. The rates go down in our 'Storm Watching Season' October until March we would love to host you again! Kindly, Emma and the Cabins Team

We were expecting this travel for 2 years, postponed twice due to covid as borders closed ( we are coming from France) and unfortunately we are disappointed by the upper canopy choice. The upper canopy description does not fit to reality, the view is not the one expected. The view from the balcony, the living room and the main bed room is not on Forrest but on the main building and as the main building is under refurbishment so on materials. We have also to mention that all the accommodations we've booked for 2020 and 2021 had accepted to refund the payment due to covid except the cabins.

Hello Coastal25598680889, Thank you for your honest review of your stay with us in the Upper Canopy Cabin. If you head to our website you can do a photo and video tour of all of our rentals. We spend a lot of time making sure the photos, videos and room descriptions on our website are 100% accurate so that guests know what to expect during their stay with us. The Lodge Building adjacent to the Cabin that you stayed in underwent some urgent renovations which began in February and continued into the Spring this year. The building looks absolutely beautiful now that the work has been completed. We contacted every guest who stayed in the Upper Canopy Cabins to disclose the construction next door and we offered alternative solutions to guests who wanted to move to a different rental. The construction crew was not working on the dates that you were our guest and we disclosed this fact in our email to you. There would be no noise disturbances however the parking lot would have construction materials stored in it. Since you never responded to that email we figured that you were not concerned with the construction material in the parking lot next to your cabin. We hope you enjoyed the location of your cabin in the rainforest and the pathway directly from your cabin to the beach and the Wild Pacific Trail. Yes we have a credit system for cancelled bookings due to covid and we have been happy to host many guests with rescheduled bookings over the past years. We would love to host you again should you find yourself on the coast again. Kindly, Emma and the Cabins Team

This is actually my second time staying with Terrace Cabins, but first time writing a review. The first time I stayed in a Portside Cabin and it was great (~4 years ago). This time we stayed in a 1 Bedroom Sabbatical, so it was on the upper level. It was FANTASTIC! We loved having a fully functional kitchen (including a dishwasher), plus a jacuzzi big enough for 2 and enough storage space for our stuff. Their cleaning products are from a place in Ucluelet called The Den, a sustainable/refill store, and they are all natural and biodegradable. Definitely read their guest agreements, check-in, check-out policies prior to booking! We did and we did not have a single problem with their system! They are the friendliest staff both in person, via email and over the phone. Don't be afraid to ask them questions!

Thank you so much for your glowing review of your stay with us at CabinNation 93shannon0, We are so happy that you returned. Our repeat guests are important to us and we are proud to see so many familiar faces and names return each year. The Sabbatical suites are fantastic! These condos are designed to 'live in' and they really have all the comforts of a 'home away from home'. The big soaker tub and the gas fireplace are really nice on those wet west coast days. We are so glad you enjoyed it! Did you notice the new "Spring Cove Trail" right out your door? This trail connects to the Wild Pacific Trail Light House Loop" and the wildlife and wave watching on these trails are spectacular! We are very proud of our commitment to using eco friendly sustainable, refillable, local products. Thank you so much for noticing. Thanks again for all your kind words! We can't wait to see you again! Kindly, Emma and the Cabins Team

Three nights in the “ Forest Suite”. Our cabin was very clean, functional, and did match the website description. But “no view” actually means no natural light as it was tucked deep under a veranda and faced a bank (on the other side of a public stairway). We could not see any sky from our cabin. The walls were stark white and pictureless. Was quite disappointing and not cosy at all. I don’t believe the other tenants were abnormally noisy, but we could clearly hear their footsteps and voices. I cannot recommend this suite.

Hello Jkyle1 We are happy to hear you found the Forest Suite clean functional and matching the listed description. As described the unit has no view. The unit is a rain forest unit. Meaning tucked into and under the rain forest canopy, The unit does have a gigantic window in the bedroom as well as full windows, including a door with a window on the entry side of the suite in order to allow as much natural light as possible into the unit. On a sunny day the sunlight filters down through the canopy of trees and into the unit. On a dark or stormy day there is no sunlight to filter down. The suite is equipped with ceiling lights and lamps for lighting during the evening or on dark days. You chose to reserve a suite in the lodge, which as advertised is a multi - unit building, meaning there are shared walls and floors between the units. We would recommend if you are noise sensitive to next time book a stand alone cabin. That is the easiest way to avoid noise disruption from your neighbors. Ocean Pearl Cabin is a beautiful 1 bedroom ocean front cabin, it gets plenty of natural light and is perfect for 2 guests. Hopefully you enjoyed our fabulous location, the views and the beautiful well maintained clean rentals that we manage. Kindly, Joanna and the Cabins Team

The place was filthy. I was cleaning up a spill and the cloth came up black! Awful. Our socks were black after the first evening so ended up wearing our shoes. Then we had to pull our own linens off the bed. I expect this in certain accommodations but not when I’m spending $250 a night not to mention this didn’t even free up time for the housekeepers to wash the floors. What else didn’t they clean?! The “stress free” check in and check out is just an excuse to cut costs on staffing. Makes it extremely unwelcoming and cold environment for your guests.

After a long drive from Victoria there was no welcome, in fact not a staff member on site and it was only 4 pm, just a key in an envelope left beside the door, which is both unsafe and unwelcoming. Then I got to the unit using a very unhelpful map and it had been left unlocked. Again very unsafe and I had to check out the whole unit to make sure no one was inside ready to attack a single female in the middle of the woods in a remote cabin. The wrong wifi access code was supplied which was extremely bad as I was here for work I had to troubleshoot that issue since there was no staff to ask. The cabins are very noisy due to lack of insulation or something because you heard everything your neighbors were doing. Be aware and make sure you read the anti- cancellation policy as you can be stuck with a huge bill especially if traveling for business when plans can change last minute. I would not recommend this destination. There are many options available in both Tofino and Ucluelet for the price they charge at The Cabins.

Hello M_K_B_Choi, We are a small property management company and we advertise our Stress Free Self Check In program on our website. We hope that you read about this prior to making your booking as it is up to guests to know what they are booking prior to making their booking. With that being said, our published office hours are 10am - 6pm. Since you arrived at check in time 4pm, Guest Services, was on property and available by phone or email. If you needed something upon arrival, we wish you had reached out. Our business is going into our 20th year, and we have hosted tens of thousands of guests. Many of our guests have become 'repeat guests' and they come back to stay with us year after year. You are the first guest who has expressed concern of being attacked in the middle of the woods in a remote cabin. Did you book a cabin? Or did you book a suite? The suites have shared walls with other guests. We have never had a guest complain about our stand alone cabins being noisy! Additionally, I am surprised to hear you say your wifi password was incorrect. Every one of our rentals has the same wifi password. We would never have given you an incorrect password. It sounds like Guest Services could have helped you during your stay. Unfortunately, we did not hear from you. The Guest Services team is welcoming, informative and helpful, and as your arrival package states, we are just a phone call or email away! Yes. We have a non refundable cancellation policy. We offer credit vouchers for all guests who cancel outside of our cancellation policy. This is published on our website. Yes. We ask all guests to be aware of what they are booking before making their booking, and we advise you to do the same! Hopefully you enjoyed our fabulous location, the views and the beautiful well maintained clean rentals that we manage. Kindly, Emma and The Cabins Team

My group of 6 enjoyed our stay at the Hidden Treasure Cabin. The 3br unit was spacious and clean. One of the sinks was blocked. I messaged the cabin staff to check it out. They promptly resolved the issue. One of the bathrooms has a 2 person shower , another one has a steam shower with heated floor. I thoroughly enjoyed the steam shower after a day of long hike. On the day of checking out, we had to undo all the bedding including the duvet and put them into laundry bins. We happily complied, as it reassured us that everything we used was previously washed and clean. This is our first trip in 18 months. We felt safe staying at the Cabin.
