We stayed a few nights in this Guesthouse. It was calm and relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and drip coffee machine. The Guesthouse is just five minutes by foot from the Wild Pacific Trail and Terrace Beach. The bathroom was also clean and spacious. Rod, the owner, was friendly and welcoming and greeted us by name, which was an unexpected personal touch. We would not hesitate to stay here again. However, it would be good if the Guesthouse could replace the drip coffee machine with a Keurig machine. Given the price of the accommodation, it would also be good value for money, if the guests could be provided with breakfast even if it is limited to delivering it to the room (for COVID-related reasons).

We stayed for three nights in the Uncle John. Spacious, quiet, spotless, very well equipped. Good location. Easy access (although not "accessible"). The pandemic stopped the breakfast but there is a well equipped kitchenette and the local Coop is a lovely store. Good television and good lighting.

We stayed in the Blue Heron suite in July 2020.
It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel.
We had a lovely stay.
Covid safeguards were in place. We felt very safe.
The owners are wonderful people and were very helpful.
We spent time exploring the beaches and landscapes.
Next time I visit the coast I hope return!

We stayed for two nights in the Ocean Mist Guesthouse, Uncle John Room, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the accommodations. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and nicely furnished, just perfect for our needs. The location is fantastic, in a quiet neighborhood, with the entry to the Wild Pacific Lighthouse trail just two lots down the road. Many other trails and points of interest are easily within walking distance from the B & B.

Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting Kelly on this trip, we enjoyed the outstanding organic breakfasts, service, and travel tips provided by Rod. Rod is a true gentleman and was always helpful and accommodating in any way possible, even loaning us his telephone for local calls and reservations.

This is one of our favorite B & B’s and we intend to return for another stay at the OMB, having only scratched the surface of the many potential activities and points of interest in the area.
As mentioned by others, we would also recommend staying in Ucluelet, rather than the neighboring Tofino, if you are interested in a more relaxing change of pace. The Ocean Mist Guesthouse would perfectly satisfy those needs.

Located at the end of the peninsula, this nice B&B was quiet and next to the Pacific trail - the suite was comfortable, large and well arranged - your breakfast is delivered in the room by Kelly who is a good cook - to be recommended

Friendly Rod (in absence of Kelly) helped us with everything during our four nights stay. Great private room, with bathroom and balcony facing the street and local wild deer. Great selfmade breakfast and Ocean Mist is closest to the beginning of the West Pacific Trail. Two minutes drive downtown nice Ucluelet with great choice of bistro's and diners.
We had bad weather, but still have the best memories of our stay at Ocean Mist Guesthouse. YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!

I have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Ocean Mist Guesthouse.
I can not express the kindness of Rod and Kellyanne, they have thought of everything. The Blue Heron suite in which I stayed is spectacular, it's very clean and quaint with an amazing view of open ocean, I was lucky enough to be there during a massive storm so I got the full benefit of my stay. In addition to a great selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and even instant oatmeal. They have also included slippers, rain gear, binoculars, great fluffy towels, quality soap and shampoo, even a first aid kit, which I must admit, I had to use.
I didn't take the breakfast package as I need to eat early and be out walking the beaches as early as possible. I saw a total of 8 deer and even a huge black bear on my way home.
The Ocean Mist Guesthouse gets my top recommendation to anyone visiting this beautiful part of the world. Top notch.

Thank you Zora for taking the time to write this great review. We also appreciate you sharing your 'big' bear photo. Yesterday we had a visit from the largest deer we have seen in this area. He grazed for over 2 hours in our back yard. As discussed earlier, we have put in a heartfelt order for another wild storm for your return visit in the new year. Looking forward to seeing you then. Happy holidays, Kellyanne & Rod

Definitely one of the top 3 Gueshouses/BBs that we have stayed at!
Us: middle aged couple. Me: mildly disabled - I use a rollator for walking longer distances due to knee problems: Husband: very fit

Our stay here was pretty much perfect. Breakfasts were delicious - Rod is a great cook. Breakfast is delivered to your room. You make your own coffee - good coffee maker and great coffee, hot chocolate and tea are supplied. There is also a fridge and microwave and kitchen sink - so it is quite possible to do a bit of your own meal and snack making if you want to.

Our room (Captain John) was huge and extremely well-appointed - good bed and fantastic shower. Wonderful extras supplied for your use - binoculars and wet gear.
Handicapped considerations: There are some stairs - leading up to the VERY private rooms. I can do limited amounts of stairs - so this was no real problem for me but some people might have issues.

We stayed at Ocean Mist in early September as part of our 4 week adventure in Canada.I did't want to stay in Tofino and I'm glad we didn't and found this gem instead.
We had no trouble finding it, there was plenty of dedicated parking and Kelly and Rod made us feel very welcome right from the start.
After a bit of a mix up on my part thinking we were in the Blue Heron room, we stayed in the Uncle John Room, which was fully equipped with everything we needed, especially the little kitchen area and was very comfortable. Both rooms were spacious and fitted out with everything you needed to be semi-independent.
The breakfasts were freshly cooked and served on a tray to your room - we even had a continental breakfast delivered the night before on one day, as we were up at the crack of dawn to go bear watching the following morning, so every little thing was thought about and accommodated.
Easy driving distance to the village square and along the main highway through 'town' for the requisite food and drink in the evening and by far a lot more quiet and pleasant experience than Tofino.
Would definitely stay again if we went back to Ucluelet
