2023 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Nestled on a cliff overlooking the rugged Pacific coastline and surrounded by a private old growth forest, The inn is an intriguing romantic experience. Purpose built to be different and dramatic the setting offers privacy and elegance to its adult clientele. There are six rooms, four have awesome ocean views. Whales, sea lions and eagles are often visible from each of these rooms. The other two rooms are in our forest view cottage cozy and very private.

Just a fabulous experience. The rooms were spacious and the food was absolutely delicious! Used the sauna and hot tub daily. It was an extremely relaxing experience! My room had an ocean front view - sound of the waves at night was great. (didn’t use the bikes or paddle boards - but we could have). Our hosts - Sue and Scott- provided everything we needed - a pleasure to talk with them. Highly recommend Snug Harbour.

This place is magnificent. I’ve travelled a lot and this rates among the top 10 places to stay. Huge rooms, individually decorated, with comfortable beds. Sue and Scott are easy going hosts serving well thought out breakfasts. Who knew salad was for breakfast. Sauna with a view over the water and a hot tub were so appreciated after days of beach combing. Lots to do too including access to bikes and paddle boards. Hope to stay here again.

Firstly we want to say thank you to Scott and Sue for making our stay such a memorable experience. Pleasant, personable hosts who were happy to share their experience and advice as well as their own stories. The actual premises is glorious. Stunning views, amazing decor with some wonderful touches. Loved the sauna overlooking the beach, loved exploring the rocks, loved sitting in the communal area looking out across the Pacific, and loved our room. Food - well breakfast was excellent. Scott and Sue cooked quality healthy well presented food which was different and to be fair would cost a fortune in other places. We thought the food was stylish and varied. And the views - you won’t beat it and we’ve seen a fair few in Canada ! We will be back.

Stunning location with beautiful views across the water. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, lots of good info shared. Room was great with good and comfortable facilities. Town was only a short walk away as were other local trails. Breakfasts were excellent!

Very cheerful and friendly hosts greeted us on our arrival. This place has great views from the bedrooms. A good sized, well equipped room with table and chairs near the window and a good bed. The glass fire between bedroom and bathroom gives great view of the toilet. The hand basin for bathroom is in the bedroom, which is a bit strange. Breakfast is same for everyone, delivered in wooden boxes to the main reception area, first day some sort of kale salad with an oil and vinegar dressing and poached egg in middle, not to our liking at all. Second day breakfast was an excellent, poached egg, cooked perfectly, with two slices of white toast and some delicious jam delivered to our room. Private deck means you have the sole use of, not that it is private, most of ours could be seen by other guests. We couldn’t make the log effect gas fire in room work even when we turned the thermostat up

The location is perfect with stunning views. Our room had everything we needed with a huge comfortable bed, sofas to relax in front of our real log fire, a table and chairs in front of the window to enjoy breakfast and a balcony with more chairs. Our host Nancy was very welcoming and helpful. Each morning she cooked an amazing breakfast which was delivered to our room in a beautiful wooden box. Every day she made something different and it was always exciting to find out what was for breakfast. Fresh ground coffee from the local Foggy Bean Coffee Company was always available for the French press in our room with a Keurig machine downstairs in the common area and unlimited teas, hot chocolate, milk and cream in the fridge. The common area has a "snug" with sofas and a fireplace for cold winter's evenings. On the patio overlooking the view of the sea is a huge hot tub which was amazing to sit in at night under the stars. There's also a wooden staircase that gives access to the private beach with more chairs to relax in. We explored Ucluelet on foot and walked the Lighthouse trail. There are plenty of great cafés and restaurants in Ucluelet, all within walking distance of the B&B and all of the local roads are well lit. I wouldn't hesitate to go back here.

Truely exceptional is the only phrase to describe our experience at Snug Harbor B&B. Nancy , the co-owner, creates an experience of easy going luxury. Sheets soft as butter; pillows that are so comfy I'm going to buy them for our house. And the view! A beautiful water view from our room complete with a pair of nesting bald eagles. A private stone beach. A fabulous conversation pit in the main common room with a fireplace. If it's warm you can enjoy the view from the hot tub on the deck. Breakfast was delicious. And varied day by day. Nancy is an expert on the surrounding trails if you like to hike. Oh yes, we definately want to stay here again.

One word - AAAHHHMAAAAZING! Nancy was a super host and the inn exceeded our expectations. The location on a quiet, rugged cove was stunning. Breakfasts were scrumptious, healthy and beautiful. The room was tidy, comy, and spacious. The hot tub under the stars was a great way to wind down at the end of the day. Take a nap by the crackling fire after a rainy walk (which we did!). Ukee is a fun coastal town with some great spots. Hike the Wild Pacific Trail. Eat something yummy at Yayu Cafe. Visit the sea lions near the ferry ramp (by the aquarium). We can't wait to come back! Thanks Nancy (and Fabian)..

Our entire time at the Inn was excellent. We were there for five nights, so we had a variety of breakfasts and all of them were amazing. The entire Inn was very clean and well cared for. The room we were in (Atlantis) was spacious with an incredible view. Finally, Nancy was a pleasure to chat with and a great host. We would highly recommend this Inn for anyone visiting Ucluelet.

Worth every penny!! Nancy was amazing and made us feel welcome right from our arrival. Our room (Sawadee) was beautiful, spotless and the view was fantastic. We were celebrating our 1st year anniversary and Nancy had added some special touches to our room in celebration of this which really made it feel special. The room was very comfy, I have a bad back due to previous injury and the mattress was just the right amount of firm and the soaker tub was huge! The breakfasts were amazing, and we loved how it was delivered to our room where we could eat while looking at the ocean. We also loved morning coffees on our private deck! We used every aspect of this B&B and though there were several other couples staying it never felt crowded or loud. We immensely enjoyed our weekend, cannot say enough good things and will definitely be booking again.
