We stayed for five nights in a harbour view site with no hook up. This was our third stay at the campsite. The owners are making many improvements. Trees have been planted between sites - and once they have grown a bit will provide good levels of privacy. The campsite staff were actively enforcing the ‘bare campsite’ policy which is good to see. The staff were friendly and helpful. The temporary toilet facilities were regularly cleaned. The new shower and toilet block are nearly finished. In the past, we have had some rowdy camping neighbours. This time it was much more peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back for sure!

Paid full price for the campsite even though there were no working bathrooms. Just porta loos. The price should’ve reflected the change in amenities. We were crammed in with large groups either side of us who had upwards of 4 tents each and multiple vehicles making us feel very tight for space. There was also no privacy between campsites. The noise levels were loud until midnight and no enforcement of quiet time by the staff. Had a rubbish nights sleep and left as early as we could.

We made reservations three days before we arrived at the campground. We drove down from Tofino, arriving at the camground about 11:30 AM. When I asked if our site was available, I was told that I couldn't check-in until 2 o'clock, even if the site was empty. After using the campground's sani-dump, I drove past our empty site (#44) before going back to the office. I told the clerk that the site was empty and asked why I couldn't occupy it? I was told, in effect, "We have the two-clock check-in rule." When we finally were able to check-in at 2 o'clock, I pleasantly told the clerk that in my thirty-five years of RVing, I'd never had a campground that hadn't been gracious and courteous and checked us in early if the site was available. I also indicated that the rigidity of the rule wasn't designed to cause campers feel very welcomed!

Our site faced the boat basin. The view was lovely.

I booked this site three months in advance and was told about there no refund policy. Because there was no other campground around Tofino, we chose to spend our six days at Ucluelet Campground. We are cyclists and so I asked about cycling to Tofino. They reassured me that there is a brand new trail that would lead us from Ucluelet to Tofino. What they failed to mention when I was booking is that the trail was no where near being completed for the summer of 2019.

I also mentioned when booking that my rig was 37 feet long but when I got to my site, I ended up a good 10 feet onto the road. It was evident that changing campsites was not a possibility. When I asked where I would park my truck, I was told to park it on the road outside of the park.

Another issue was dumping the black water. The sewer pipe on my site and some others, were a good 10 inches above grade with no screw on connector at the end of the pipe. Imagine trying to dump with your sewer hose horizontal to the ground but 10 inches up, above ground. Site A was not the only site with this issue.

I wasn't the only one who wasn't impressed with this Ucluelet Campground. Another couple left the park without even setting up. The site that they had pre-reserved wasn't big enough for their trailer. When asked for the refund because it was the campground's error, they were reminded of the no-refund policy. They were not happy campers.

The only reason I am even giving this campground a 1 star is because the actual town of Ucluelet is a beautiful place, but make this your absolute last choice.

Really well situated in the center of Ucluelet, right across the road from Relic surf shop (easily my favourite shop in the area). Our site was right by the water with beautiful views of Ukie harbour, and you could hear the sea lions and go and check them out with a quick 5 minutes walk.

We actually screwed up and checked out late, a few hours after the agreed upon check-out time. The staff bagged everything up for us (as they had to clear the site) and when we finally arrived were super understanding (and forgiving!) considering all the extra hassle we put on them.

The combination of chill, friendly, staff and great location makes this a great option for anyone looking for a solid base for a weekend trip to Ukie!

LOVED IT! I would have preferred a serviced site, but those are extremely hard to find, and we have a very large RV, and we just did not fit any of the sites. However, as we are fully self contained, it was no problem and we stayed in one of the tenting sites, which I must say is HUGE! When we booked the site, it said it was a “harbour view”, and this is true, if you look through the trees. I am certainly not suggesting that they cut down the trees to preserve the view, but when showing a picture, make sure it is accurate. Ucluelet campground is close to everything, and everything is within walking distance. It was quiet and the people all around were super friendly. I would definitely stay there again!

Great campground with a nice view of the harbour and brilliant recycling facilities. It is nice and quiet with big, even pitches. We were very impressed. You can walk into town in just a few minutes and the restaurant opposite the entrance is brilliant too!

Book elsewhere! The staff are not friendly, the sites are not kept up at all. The fences are falling apart and it is not graded well. Four trailers bottomed out. Brutal. The gravel is not raked and grass is non existent.

The map is not to scale, our site is not in a corner though the map shows it. Our site is so small our vehicle does not fit. Sites are so small fire pits are up against rvs, but you cannot move the fire pits. Signs every where that they have no firewood, but you go into the office and there is tons for sale.
The advertising on WiFi is misleading. You can only access it right by the office, no where else in the campground. You will see tons of people hanging around the office for WiFi. Seriously at the high rates clean up the campground, have customer focused staff, and offer wifi throughout.

Today my bf and I went in to Ucluelet campground hoping to find out information about monthly rentals. We arrived shortly after noon and there was a note on the door saying they'd be back at 1:10 - fine, no big deal! When we came back after an hour we went and talked to the lady working behind the desk. We asked her if the campground offered monthly rentals (as we arrived nearly three months ago and were staying at another campground but have been forced to move out of our spot as our RV was too close to the water well - forcing us to live next to the highway) - she didn't even look at us and responded with "not really... It's the busy season"! We both stood there expecting more of a conversation, but she said nothing more and continued to avoid looking at us. This was very upsetting as we are dealing with enough - the last thing we needed was to deal with was being talked down to. Overall I was very upset after leaving the office.

Some tent sites are quite big - that was fortunately our case - some others are so so small or very bad located. They say you have hot showers. However during the two days of the weekend we had cold showers. And finally it's not quiet at all. They say that it has to be quiet after 10pm. However nobody make sure of this. Results: loud discussion and nose until 2am. I did camping a lot but this one is not in my favourite.
