This was a very stormy weekend which is exactly what we were looking for and what you should expect in November. We wanted it to rain and storm and loved every minute of it! The property was a very pleasant surprise it exceeded our expectations - the seals were “chatting” all night which added to the authentic experience but perhaps bring earplugs if you are noise sensitive. The kitchen was well equipped which is a bonus during a pandemic when some may not want to eat out - we ate very meal in the room and were very pleased with the kitchen set up. Beware the seals are very loud - this adds to the whole west coast experience but if you are noise sensitive bring earplugs - but we loved it! The bath on the balcony was great - if you are shy bring a bathing suit - will be back wonderful trip. We loved all the local trails and beach walks in Torino highly recommend the segments of the Pacific Coast Trail - you can do it all or segments of it great for all abilities and fitness levels - so relaxing loved it!…
With its own spit of land that juts out into the water, this location was a welcomed surprise! Everything from booking online to checking in was smooth and professional. Though not on the west side of Ucluelet facing the crashing waves, the inlet was a pleasant surprise with bounds of wildlife and awesome mountain views. The suite itself is well laid out, clean and has an amazing hot-tub on the deck for morning coffee or to have a few pops at night. I would recommend you stay in building #6 (see photo of resort map), as it’s away from the noise and potential stink (diesel) of the harbour where fishing boats tend to warm up their engines. As well, building #6 is the closest to the water at a mere 20’. Other reasons include it has the best views of the mountains and bay and is also away from the fish packing plant to the north which other units face. …
Lovely resort, even in a wet two night stay when you couldn’t see spectacular setting. Quiet except for the sea lions burping in the distance. The ‘hot tub’ on the deck is actually a two-person bath, but nice to soak in on a damp night. Rooms are comfortable with welcoming gas fireplaces. Kitchens are well equipped. BBQ and laundry off limits during pandemic but otherwise everything you could ask for in an amazing west coast getaway.
Well, where do I begin. Waters Edge could be a very nice place to stay if there were some updates. I am certain our room was given to the other couple that we were traveling with as I was particular when I booked. Our bed was horrible. I did not sleep for 2 days. The tub was great if it was hot and more private as 3 floors could stare right into our patio. It was super disappointing as we have back problems so we were looking forward to a nice hot soak in a jetted tub and a good sleep away from kids in a nice bed. Both were completely horrible. Our room was dirty. All baseboards looked like they haven't been cleaned in 10 years. Old outdated nasty carpet throughout. Couch was not even comfortable. Tried to make appointments at the spa and it took 8 hours for anyone to anwser let alone respond to my messages. I even tried to call front desk for extra towels and could not get through so I had to reuse. Parking is HORRID, why are we not entitled to a parking spot paying so much money? We had to squeeze in far away from our room just to park our vehicle. For 500$ for 2 nights I would say this place is most definitely not worth the price at all whatsoever. We would have had a better stay in a cheap motel. My husband and I travel around often and I will say I will never be back to Waters Edge and I sure hope management sees my review and does something to rectify this situation or I will be making sure I let all of my friends and family know how awful our stay was as I know alot of people that come and stay in Ucluelet often. I rarely leave a bad review but this place was disappointing beyond belief. …
Quick West Coast getaway, during covid. Everything was cleaned, full precautions in place! Still amazing, clean, quiet well appointed suites. Had great customer service when asking for extra bedding for a child. Lovely quiet area, easy to access the Wild Coast Trail and town.
