We spent 4 nights in the Sea Mist Suite (one of the three rooms at Reef Point Ocean Front B&B) for the front end of our honeymoon in Ucluelet and Tofino. Although our visit came during unusual times; namely, during a COVID spike and in late November (which is more the off-season), we couldn't have been happier with our stay and experience. From the beginning, our hosts (Dian and Brian), were extremely communicative. Because of COVID, they had a fully flexible cancellation policy, with no deposit required, which was very much appreciated and not something you typically see, especially with small, independently owned BnBs. In the weeks leading up to our stay, they would also provide health updates and instructions on what to do upon arrival to ensure a safe check-in and stay. When we arrived, we were pleased to see that we had a private entrance to our room, and that our room was directly accessible from the outside. We were also pleased to learn that everyone else had cancelled their stays, so it was just us there. Dian greeted us fully masked, socially distanced, and kept our in-person interactions brief, only covering the necessary info. The room was spectacularly clean and disinfected. We felt totally safe there. If we needed anything, we could call or email, and they would place what we needed outside our door. This kind of consideration and taking safety seriously was much appreciated and shows how professional Dian and Brian are. The room itself was incredibly spacious with a giant, firm king size bed, and bathroom with a double-soaker. There is also a functional gas fireplace with an old-school look that we appreciated. A kitchenette area with sink, fridge, microwave, and dishware, cutlery was also very useful considering we were only doing takeout for food. The room had some nice decorative touches, featuring some of Dian's own stunning nature photos. The surrounding property is quite lovely and completely private - you really feel like you are out there in nature. From the room, if you descend the stairs, there is a platform with a hot tub (we didn't end up using it, but seems like it would be lovely). If you keep going down the stairs, there is a sitting area where you can get views of the ocean, and even further down, the stairs go directly to the rocks on the ocean. Just be careful when you walk around. The wood planks and stairs add a nice rustic touch, but are quite slick when wet (which was most of the time here in rainy November). To be fair, they do warn you about the slickness of the wood, but it would probably be nice to have a little better lighting at night on the paths that have steps. The most memorable aspects of our stay were the spectacular view of the ocean directly from our room. The bed faces some french/screen doors, that overlook the ocean, framed by trees and rocks. So stunning. We even caught the sunset one of the days from our room. The other most amazing part of our stay was the continental breakfast. Dian and Brian left a basket of goodies that we slowly whittled away to nothing over the course of our stay - of particular note was the homemade multi-grain loaf and fresh-baked assorted muffins. So yummy! To be safe, we essentially only left the place to go on hikes and take walks on the beach. But boy is this the place to go if that's what you're doing. The nearest trail is the lighthouse trail, which is part of the Wild Pacific Trail - such amazing views and very manageable. This is only a couple minutes drive. The other part of the trail is similarly close, maybe a 5 minute drive to Big Beach/Community Centre. Other hikes we enjoyed nearby was the Rain Forest loop and Florencia Bay (via the Willowbrae trail). Both are reasonable (within a 10-15 minute drive) and offer spectacular views of the raw nature of the Pacific coast. Ucluelet is a small village, so not a ton to do in the actual town, but it's only a reasonable 45 minutes or so drive from Tofino town, which has more as far as shopping and such. However, there are some food gems in Ucluelet, particularly Pluvio. Overall, highly recommended! We look forward to staying there on a return trip, post-Covid, when we can experience the other parts of the BnB and interact with the hosts more directly!!

All I can say is wow! , thank you for this amazing detailed review. We very much appreciate this. We are so happy you enjoyed your secluded honeymoon in our little corner of Paradise on the Ocean. It sounds like you found many of the amazing hiking trails close by, and within the National Park. Our town was very quiet for this trip, and we do hope you come back in the summer or fall when there is more activity and tours available. We will take note about your comments on the lighting on the steps as we do want our guests to be safe. Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us on your Honeymoon and Congratulations. Your Hosts Dian and Brian

Property's Favourite Review
We arrived at Reef Point Oceanfront B&B late in the afternoon and were greeted by our wonderful hosts Dian and Brian. Dian showed us our suite and around the property and I felt we had arrived in paradise. The views from our suite were breath taking, looking over the rocky coast and ocean and we looked forward to the sunset that night. The suite was well appointed and we enjoyed to see Dian's photographs on the walls. The continental breakfast in our suite was a real treat as it meant we could have our morning coffee in our PJ's. Dian was very helpful with suggestions for things to do and for restaurants that were close by. It was a wonderful three days and we look forward to returning sometime in the near future. Thank you Dian and Brian

After spending 3 nights at Reef Point Ocean Front B&B, it was very hard to leave! The grounds are stunning, with views of the ocean from the room, hot tub, and multiple decks. The Whale Song suite was well appointed with a cozy bed, electric fireplace, mini kitchen and dishes/utensils, and a very large bathroom with a spacious tub. With sliding patio doors out to the terrace and a view of the ocean, it was difficult to make yourself ever get out of bed. The best part of the accommodations for us was the hot tub, with a view to die for. If you stay here choose one of the two rooms with access to the hot tub, you will not regret it! In a time where everywhere else we went around the island was so busy it was great to have the quite little retreat to relax. I couldn't see myself staying anywhere else should I return to Ucluelet!

My girlfriend really enjoyed our stay! We got lucky and had a storm one day, and beautiful sunshine the next. There is a great view from the room. The hot tub and soaker tub were fantastic. Such a great, private hideaway. Dian and Brian went the extra mile and helped us reclaim a bag we had left behind when we were dragging our feet to leave. Great memories! Can’t recommend enough. Such a treasure to wake up and look out the patio door and see the ocean.

Also really happy we were able to return your forgotten bag, especially with the great books, not to mention the wine. Smile!! Hope to see you in the future. Dian & Brian

What a fabulous place! The moment you turn down the driveway, lined with big trees on both sides, you realize that you are heading somewhere special! And once you get to the B&B, the view is breathtaking, definitely unforgettable. A person would be hard pressed to find fault with anything at this lovely B&B! It is obvious that Dian & Brian have thought of every detail to make sure your stay is special. We stayed in the sunset room and the bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a truly peaceful getaway.
