We arrived a little late but Alice stayed up for us. House and room were very clean and bed was comfy...had a great sleep. Breakfast was served at an awesome round table with lazy Susan. Had delicious egg ham and cheese tart with home made apple cake!

This B&B is 5 minutes outside of Ucluelet and in a very quiet setting. The place is very clean and breakfast is scrumptious! Alice makes for a very good host and offers excellent information on things to do and see. Thank you! Bev and Pete

I'm finding this review a little difficult to write as I personally didn't like the place but the owner's response to that was great and it did have some more positive points. Not quite sure how to review then... One important point is that there are 2 possible stays here and we booked 1 without being aware it wasn't what we were getting. Can I suggest the owner makes the difference clearer on booking? We had the apartment downstairs which is a different entity to the b and b upstairs which looked airy and light and great. The website only shows photos of upstairs and it's a different experience so our expectations didn't help what we then got. We'll accept our portion of blame on that then but the website needs to be alot clearer. Of the apartment the positives are... It's cool It's clean and well appointed The flooring is new and lovely Wildlife visits the spare ground The beds are comfortable The negatives are... It's VERY dark The "garden" is not well named- it's a patch of rough grass which does attract deer but isn't great to sit out in. It's a LONG way out of town- definitely a drive. We couldn't even see the ocean in the distance. The place could have been anywhere which is silly when we were there for Ucluelet itself We were promised a bbq that never turned up though we didn't push it The washing up liquid, cloths etc only turned up 2 hrs into our stay at which point we'd decided nothing was coming so had bought for ourselves The owner was very full on as we arrived and whilst the advice could have been invaluable, we just felt overwhelmed after our travel There is no breakfast (see the earlier confusion over the b&b vs apartment) The only servicing was an emptying the bin once a day but it didn't happen every day as promised We were told in no uncertain terms about footwear coming off in the doorway Our 21 year old and mature son was treated like he was 12- it didn't go down well! The bedding is highly flowered and makes the place look very dated- though I have to thank the owner for sorting out something else for me I feel sorry I didn't like the place. Others may well feel different but just be very clear what you're booking.
