Detailed Reviews
On a motorcycle trip through Watson Lake I needed a place to stop for the evening, it was a choice between here or the Big Horn
I chose here because it has an onsite restaurant.
Walking into the lobby, I was greeted by a nice lady with a smile.
Asked if I would like the last empty room on the first floor.. Heck yes!
She told me they just replaced the tv (50")
The room was nice size I would have to say it had been painted in the past year.. the bed was comfortable,
I ate dinner and breakfast the next morning here,
The room was quiet, and the room smelled clean
When I checked out the young lady at the desk even said Thank you for staying with us,
How many places will do that.
Its an older hotel, but they are trying to keep it up.
If I pass through here again, I will stay here.

Might want to check room out before staying due to the smell. We opened the window and it did help. Other room had no smell and was fine. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Great price. Restaurant on site which is nice. Good food reasonably priced. No wheelchair accessible rooms but we were able to get wheelchair through the door. Very small bathroom , no wheelchair access but one room had a grab bar at least to use.

Tv didn’t work. Staff seemed disinterested in helping to fix. Room was clean and quiet.
Ate supper at adjoining restaurant electricity went and staff did seem surprised. I saw on different reviews this has happen before
We were going to stay on our way back home but decided not to

Do not stay here. Price gouging practices are absolutely disgusting. Room smelled like pee, ripped screens, no A/C and they decided to charge us for two nights when we stayed one. Checked in the 3rd left the fourth and charged $350. According to the reviews they change their prices pretty often. This room is not worth $175 it’s worth $50 maximum. And it’s a shame bc if they cleaned better and updated some things with the crazy amounts of money they make and lowered the price I’m sure they’d make more since they have a restaurant, bar and convenience store. Oh and you get 1 gig of WiFi for your whole stay which is ridiculous for the price.

The Hotel Management has looked into this complaint and the findings are as follows; Customer checked in on July 3, 2021 (5:30am) - Party of 2 + 2 dogs & 1 cat/ Check-out July 4, 2021 (7:48am) Regular Summer Room Rate = $150.00 + $10.00/dog ($20.00 total) + $5.00/cat ($5.00 total) = $175.00 + tax Hotel Accommodation Policy - Check-in Time 3:00pm/ Check-out Time 11:00am - 20 hours The customers were charged $350.00 due to an error in judgment by the hotel staff as a personal perspective on the Hotel Accommodation Policy. In light of this, the Management has decided to refund the customers 50% of the $175.00 which brings down the total charges from $350.00 to $262.50 for their 26 hour stay. As for the issue on the AC, Andrea's Hotel does have three (3) AC rooms that are not pet-friendly and no competitors within Watson Lake YT offers AC rooms. Rooms Rates are standard that vary only based on seasons (fall & winter/ spring & summer) same as all other hotels do in Watson Lake YT. We are extending our appreciation of your comments on our rooms. This enables us to see flaws that are sometimes unnoticed. Andrea's Hotel dedicates itself to improve its services and achieve customer expectations that are reasonable within its capability. Please do not hesitate to contact us so as to complete the refund transaction. God bless and keep safe always.

There is a reason this hotel is not on the booking sites and you have to book direct. It is so you can’t see all the bad reviews. It is the worst place in the the Yukon (not just Watson Lake).
A quiet room was offered right on the highway - they changed our room to over the entrance and next to the animal rooms. Dogs barked from 6pm to 9pm. Sadly the barking was replaced with dirt bike and ATV riders doing stunts and skids through the car park until 1am. The owners did NOTHING. All rooms would have been privy to this hideous noise. It went on for hours. In addition cars pulled up regularly to buy alcohol - slamming doors and drunken chitter chatter accompanied this. It was in fact a form of torture,
When I buy a hotel room, I am buying a good nights sleep and a hot shower. I got no rest.
Rooms are basic. Linen discolored and threadbare. The front office looks like a jumble sale (you can buy clothes , jewellery, cake etc. everything is tacky. Everything is geared to up selling you (especially on petrol) but they cannot meet their basic function to provide you a quiet room to sleep. Stay away.

+1
This hotel is disgusting, I do not recommend staying.
If my husband and I were not too tired to keep driving we would have skipped this hotel driving straight through.
The beds were sagging in the middle, cigarette burns on the lamps, stains and holes in carpeting and walls. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke. We were so uncomfortable we left in the middle of the night after just a few hours sleep.

In 2019, a friend and I tried to fly our airplane from Michigan to Alaska. The trip took us to Watson Lake and because of an unusual number of fires, we were unable to cross into Alaska. Limited by weather, we stayed and Andrea's Hotel for 3 nights. Twice, when taxi service wasn't available, Andrea herself came to the airport and brought us into town and in the morning, took us back to the airport. In her restaurant on our last night there, she had the chef make us a special dessert from her country of birth, the Philippines. It was like nothing I've have had since. Her and her husband are genuine, hardworking people and made us feel welcome even though we were so far from home. We hope to attempt another Alaskan trip someday and if we do, we will call from the Watson Lake Airport and ask for a ride into town again!

This is not a safe place for women!
It is a long ways to the next town with a hotel! Unless you are Filipino, you will not be treated with respect and dignity. The Filipino employees treat Canada's Native population terribly without any decency or respect. They post pictures with mean narratives to cause harm. Women should avoid this place as it is not safe for women, you might end up on a poster like the one I saw, or missing.
This place is so creepy I tried to research it. I question the legitimacy of this operation as I could not locate any business license for them on Canada's licensing website. No accountability for this business in the middle of nowhere, in what is usually a delightful small town that I have typically enjoyed visiting. Don't stay at Andrea's Hotel or buy their products if you support basic human rights and treating people with dignity.

All our employees (Filipino, Canadian, Russian, East Indian, Jamaican) are very respectful to our customers. Those customers who are calling names and telling bad words to our staff, we do not tolerate those people. If you read it you should ask us what happened and do not judge by what you read.

Absolutely a bait and switch!!! We were to stay in Andrea’s, but in stead stayed in the Dragon’s Den. Booked two rooms over a month in advance. I would rather sleep in someone else’s truck bed in the parking lot. This feces hole is one step ahead of a 16 century flop house running one pence, whores. Simply unbelievable. A lot of places in my 55 years of life, many of those are places I wouldn’t stay with my children and wife. They are still better than this place. Anything short of an absolute refund plus the cost decontamination is not enough. After driving 12 hours to arrive here completely wiped out and find that we have been duped, swindled and exploited is so infuriating. Hard pass on this place If you love your health and peace of mind.
