This hotel is disgusting, I do not recommend staying. If my husband and I were not too tired to keep driving we would have skipped this hotel driving straight through. The beds were sagging in the middle, cigarette burns on the lamps, stains and holes in carpeting and walls. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke. We were so uncomfortable we left in the middle of the night after just a few hours sleep.
Do not stay here. Price gouging practices are absolutely disgusting. Room smelled like pee, ripped screens, no A/C and they decided to charge us for two nights when we stayed one. Checked in the 3rd left the fourth and charged $350. According to the reviews they change their prices pretty often. This room is not worth $175 it’s worth $50 maximum. And it’s a shame bc if they cleaned better and updated some things with the crazy amounts of money they make and lowered the price I’m sure they’d make more since they have a restaurant, bar and convenience store. Oh and you get 1 gig of WiFi for your whole stay which is ridiculous for the price.
We had to change rooms three times in one day including once at 9pm with flash lights because the break tripped and they couldn't get it to turn back on. This might be OK if it was half the price but for what they are charging there are much nicer options in town.
Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, fridge, coffeemaker, very good breakfast. What to expect more?... Aaaa and a very nice service desk. Ok - poor internet. But Watson Lake is „middle...” or the beginning of Big and Lovely Nowhere. The Place to be. Larger then Life.
It was clean but the heater took forever to warm the room. It was below 25 outside. To make it worse - just a thin blanket in the bed. No extra blankets. Not even a comforter. I slept in flannel pants over thermals.... We called downstairs because our tv just had a blue screen. 20 minutes later staff showed up and asked where the other remote was. What? Apparently one remote turns it on and changes channels- channel up or down only ( no guide).... but the other connects to the dish and works the volume. They never fixed it. And they limit the WiFi. My cousin listened to two quick voicemails and messaged a picture to 10 people on messenger. That was it.. no more data. Two stories - no elevator so if you have luggage ask for first floor. This place was slightly below average for comfort even by Alaska standards....…
