Not worth the money. Was basically a high end hostel. Did not adhere to COVID protocols (we were only people wearing masks and bathrooms were shared between 6 people and not cleaned regularly). We were told we had to check in before 5pm with no exceptions and another couple checked in around 7pm. Bed was not comfortable and there was no proper lighting only a small lamp. There was only two pieces of furniture in the room one being the bed. Would recommend booking anywhere else, anything is better than this place. Their place is NOT the "perfect place".

Property is a renovated century home on a large property with a sugar bush (and walking trails), plus an open area with a couple of goats and chickens for entertainment. There is an outdoor pool for guests, though we stayed too late in the season and it was already closed. Inside, we had the suite which consisted of a room with a queen bed, a private bathroom (2 sinks, shower stall and a separate soaker tub), and a separate entrance from the other guests. The bedroom and bathroom had dormer windows that opened, admitting a nice cool breeze. Bedding was clean and ample, the bed was soft (pillow-top mattress) but still firm enough not to bother by back. Pillows felt like home. We slept soundly. Room does not have a closet accessible to visitors for hanging suits/dresses -- the closets in it are locked and not usable. Breakfast was delicious (eggs from the hens on the property, roasted potatoes with gluten-free toast (upon our request) in the dining room with another couple from the rooms at the front of the house. We were separated adequately apart. Host was gracious and even gave us two bowls of snacks (pretzels and a gluten-free trail mix) plus a complimentary bottle of wine when he heard it was our wedding anniversary. We were a little hesitant to book this place due to some of the negative comments made on earlier TripAdivsor reviews; however, the issues appear to be resolved: - The operator, Hamid, was very pleasant, accommodating, and full of helpful recommendations for places to visit and where to purchase items we (or the other couple) needed. He was exceptionally polite, respectful, and met us wearing a mask. - There was coffee and tea available around the clock via a Keurig machine in the screened-in porch sitting area. - The rooms were adequately sanitized (Lysol spray bottle and paper towels were still sitting on the edge of the tub when we arrived and everything smelled clean) and there was hand sanitizer and masks available in the screened-in porch area. Hamid greeted us in a mask when we arrived. - For our queen suite, there was a lock on the outside door leading into the back of the house, and a deadbolt-style lock on the bedroom door so we could secure our belongings. And, of course, the bathroom door had its own privacy lock on the inside, like most bathrooms. One does have to cross the upstairs hallway from the bedroom to use the bathroom, but no other guests have access to that hallway -- though there is no way to secure the hallway from the owner accessing it from down the stairs. But, he never came up while we were there, respecting our privacy. So, the earlier concerns don't appear to be relevant any longer. I would highly recommend this B&B for an overnight stay.

I have a lung disease and must be very careful about covid , so after booking on line, i called to ask about their covid protocols . The man asked if he could be frank. I said sure. He then told me he travelled to Lybia, and another country, then another. I felt frustrated, as we have also travelled and wanted him to just answer my question. So i said we are also world travellers. He was angry and said that i interrupted him . I apologized and said go ahead,. He said NO . You can cancel your booking with us and find another place to stay, then hung up. I was shocked.

We stayed for 1 night in the suite and had a very good sleep. The breakfast was exceptional. The owner is kind and helpful. It is exceptionally clean. The house is only a few Km from Sandbanks. Very nice place to lay your head.

We were pleased at our first sight of the B&B; very pretty location and the home was a lovely late Victorian farmhouse. Sadly, our favourable first impression didn't last. While the host was very personable, he wasn't wearing a mask (this review written just after Ontario entered Phase 3 re-opening) and by his own admission, didn't think the novel coronavirus much of an issue. He checked us in with another couple, who tried - as we did - to maintain our physical distancing in the closeness of the enclosed front porch. Our host didn't even bother. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine after checkout, but I had to go back and remind the owner. The room was very hot and stale and the fan in the room was set on a timer so we had to get up every few hours and restart it. The bathroom was shared with two other couples - there were three bedrooms on the floor and all seemed to be occupied, as far as I could tell. Hand towels were in the bathroom for guests to dry their hands, but none in our room for our personal use; just 2 big bath towels. The bathroom towels were used and left to sit on the counter... We were told at check-in that there would be 2 breakfast servings to keep physical distancing, which was reassuring; the dining room table seated 8, but even seating 6 it would be close between chairs. When our 9 am seating time came, the table was occupied by two other couples, unmasked and talking animatedly at each other and the host. We were very happy to be seated on our own in the porch for breakfast, but we had to deal with the host serving us at close distance without a mask. I wanted to crawl into the brick wall to get away.... Because of the beauty of the house and location I gave this B&B a "Poor" rating instead of a "Terrible", which they deserve for their recklessness. The pool and exercise room were open for all - no safety precautions to guard against the spread of SARS-CoV-2. Only one bottle of sanitizer for all the public areas - no sanitizing of the shared bathroom - no masks - no physical distancing. The actual discomfort of the set up and lack of amenities paled in comparison with the risk we took staying in this spot. I will sleep in my car before I ever stay here again.
