I stayed there for a weekend in November. My wife was at a small conference being hosted at the resort so I tagged along. We had a nice suite with a whirlpool tub. It was clean but very much in need of a refreshment. The furniture was aging and the blinds in the room were falling out and even missing some pieces so privacy was a concern for us. The bathroom was very basic and towels were old and lost their bounce a long time ago.

While the resort needs a refresh, the service was excellent at front desk and at the restaurant. The food was very nice and the view out over the water spectacular. The location of the resort is excellent and if they decide to spend some money to bring the hotel up to par they will have a winning combo.

The Wifi was spotty at best. Most of the time it did not work. You would get a signal for 30 minutes then it would stop working for an hour so Netflix is out of the question. TV signal was poor and most channels had interference across the whole screen. Our room was very close to front desk so you would assume that there would be a good signal there. There is also no wifi signal whatsoever at the restaurant so reading the news on your ipad while having your coffee and eggs is not going to happen.

The reviews I read prior to going were terrible. Our sights were set pretty low in hopes that it wouldn’t be as bad as we were expecting.

As far as the staff, we found everyone friendly and quite helpful.

Our room, in the old farmhouse, #202 was quite large with two double beds and was more than adequate. It seemed to have been recently painted. It was very clean. The carpet was dated. The entrance/stairs up to the room was another story. Very steep stairs with filthy, old carpet. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls.

The porch, which could be made so lovely, was covered in cobwebs, as was the light fixture by the front door. It would make a good haunted house.

The pool wasn’t open - fair enough given the circumstances but it was filthy. They could cover it up or empty it and it would look better.

The tennis courts were open but again could use a good cleaning, maybe power wash the court and repaint it and put up some new nets.

The restaurant/bar area is quite nice and has a beautiful view. We did have dinner and it was very disappointing. We had the beef dip and a hamburger. The beef was deli style sliced roast beef - so disappointing. The hamburger was definitely a frozen patty and it was burned. On the upside - the salads were good. They weren’t serving breakfast, which I don’t understand??

It is vey unfortunate that whoever owns this property doesn’t seem to care. It is a large, beautiful property and could really be made into something special if they would clean it up, do some updating, landscaping and hire a good chef. We spoke to various people who live in the county and they were all of the same opinion.

We were originally looking to book a Bed and Breakfast for our stay but waited too long and everything was full for the long weekend. This resort would have been magnificent when built decades ago but now it feels tired. That said, the location right on the beach is amazing and we enjoyed one of the best sunsets we have ever seen. We opted for a Lakeview suite which was well worth the extra cost. The screened in front porch was a hig bonus a well...perfect for enjoying evening cocktails and curling up with a book on quiet mornings. Our two teens were comfortable sleeping, one on the pullout couch the other on a cot the staff brought in for us. Reservations were easy and staff for checkin friendly and efficient. One thing we couldn't figure out was why the restaurant on property was open only at noon...you'd think there would be a captive audience for breakfast. Not sure if that was just in Covid times...if so, then having a spot for breakfast onsite during normal times could be good for business and offer another level of convenience. Regardless, if you dont have high expectations for either shiny and new or old with character and just want to be comfortable, this place will work!

I really wish that I had read the reviews before I booked two rooms in this hotel. Stayed in room 213 and 113 of the Inn. The rooms were dated, no cable, no tv commander in one of the rooms and the internet did not work. The toilet paper that was in the bathroom was a half used roll that we were told had had many sheets removed so it could be used again. When I asked was this the policy I was told they didn't have any way of using half rolls left over so they just left them in the bathroom.
Besides the mildew, the lack of paint, care of the pool (if it is not in service at least cover it so the mildew does not show) my greater concern was lack of Covid-19 Protocols. No sanitizer in the hall on the way upstairs where you had to use the handrail and a real fear that my room had not been cleaned properly. No questions asked when we arrived about possible exposure and no temperature checks. The whole property was a mess. The maintenance barn beside our rooms was not even closed up and kids could have been really hurt.
Dinner was mediocre at best but at least the dining room looked a little better.
It seemed that that Inn part of the hotel were stayed should have been closed down if repairs could not be maintained but the whole property looked dirty and unkempt. The balconies did not even look safe to walk on. Because the dining room was closed for breakfast, we ended up at the Waring House in Picton. While not on the water the Waring house is in pristine condition and realized how we had been ripped off as the rooms are the same price or cheaper. We found out that Isisah Tubbs has been on the decline for several years. For the sake of the reputation of the whole county this resort should be shut down for safety, sanitation and many other reasons.

Oof. Considering how much they charge per night there should be zero excuse for these tired and dated rooms. Let me start by saying I have worked in hotels for years and used to be a front office manager so I am no Karen. I know what I’m talking about. I paid $526 + $250 (refundable pre authorization) for a weekend in a run down motel room. For the love of god read the reviews before you book. 161 people aren’t lying to you. I have no doubt that this place USED to be beautiful but I would be shocked if it survives another year. I feel terrible for the front desk staff because I am certain they have to listen to the same complaints every single day.

We were here for a wedding so luckily we didn’t spend much time in the room. I will say that our friends in 701 had a gorgeous two story place overlooking the beach so maybe all of that money is going into fixing these types of lodgings instead because it certainly isn’t going to the basic rooms. We stayed in 111 and it was TERRIBLE value for money. The heater and hairdryer didn’t work, the carpets were stained, the wallpaper was peeling, there were cobwebs and dead insects, the shower screeched like a kettle once it got going (I was genuinely concerned I was about to be scalded after reading the review by the woman who was electrocuted) you didn’t get more than a couple minutes of hot water and the wifi barely worked (they pre blamed this on poor location and bad weather in our welcome letter) The furniture and decor was from the 80’s because I imagine that was the last time this room was refurbished. The only positives were the new tv and the bed was very comfy. There was also a coffee maker, microwave and fridge which is nice, especially when you’re paying $15+/drink at their bar. Yup, 1 large glass of rose wine and 1 bottle of Heineken cost me $33.75. God bless those drink tickets.

I mentioned all of the room issues to the front desk on check out but no compensation was offered. Just the usual “I’ll let maintenance/housekeeping know”. Let me save you the trouble darlin’ - they know. Just like your General Manager/Owner have known for months if not years.

The front desk staff were very friendly, the wedding venue was beautiful and the food was lovely so everybody including the bride and groom had a fantastic day but had this been just a regular couples getaway I would be screaming louder than 111’s shower for a partial refund at the very least. They don’t even include breakfast in their extortionate rates (additional $18/person). This place is in desperate need of a makeover and until that happens they have absolutely no right to be charging what they do. At best, it’s worth $60/night. Look elsewhere or I guarantee you’ll be disappointed. It is truly such a shame because the grounds are beautiful and it has so much potential to be much, MUCH better than what they’ve let it become.

We booked a 70th birthday 2 day retreat for 4 sisters a year in advance. We asked for the best room they had for 4 adults (not couples). We received a loft "apartment". One double bed in the upper level, 1 double bed in the lower level and 1 ancient and horribly uncomfortable couch. One of us slept on the couch pulled out but half way through the night folded it back up and slept as is. Every room in the place had dormer ceilings which we kept hitting our heads on. Thankfully it had a small fridge and sink. The restaurant only opens at noon so if you plan on eating breakfast you have to go into Bloomfield or bring your own. The food in the restaurant was good and our young man serving us was lovely. The beach is nice and the sunsets are amazing. The biggest disappointment was that there was NO where to sit outside other than the restaurant and a picnic table in the playground. Not where 4 women on a getaway want to sit. When we asked for 4 chairs to sit outside our lodge we were simply denied them. For a cottage getaway we were stuck in our old tired room for the evenings. It's not just COVID restrictions but a tired unattended resort with a staff unwilling to make us happy with a very easy request. We won't be back. Bloomfield shopping was really nice and the scenery everywhere is lovely. We still had lots of fun but it's not what we thought we were paying for.

Surprising that the owner still has a licence to operate. The place is completely rundown. The pictures that are shown on the web are dated and do not reflect the reality. We had reserved a room with full kitchen which had been fully paid prior to arrival as per their policy. When we saw the state of the room and how filthy it was, we asked for a refund which they refused. We then asked to get moved to a ‘better’ more acceptable room; they offered a room in Beach House no.2 which we accepted since we had no way to recover our money. Of course we had to pay extra for a place which averaged close to 300$/night and which still was not up to expectations for this type of money: front door covered with traces of insects, patio door with broken screen, patches with traces of paint on ceiling, patio set with broken chair, missing roof siding panel and hanging cables above the patio door, fireplace unable to operate adequately and overall lacking cleanliness, which should be a priority in these times of pandemic. Nothing for the management to be proud of and which reveals total disrespect for the guests. Surely our first and last time there.

Just returned from Isiah Tubbs and we were disappointed. Our room with 4 women that we booked a year in advance was on the second floor of lodge 2. We had no balcony or any where to sit outside. When we asked for a picnic table at the least we were told there is one in the playground. That is it! 4 women in there 60's do not want to sit in the playground which wasn't even on front of our building! The tub was a jetted tub so was very high and wide. NO safety handles at all and the tub was very slippery. My sisters said DO NOT try to use it as I have health issues. All our ceilings were dormers in every room and we kept hitting our heads or just walk bent over! The stairs going up to the second floor were so narrow, uneven in size and steep. Wallpaper falling off the wall and the furniture very old and needs replaced. We had supper there the first night and our server was great and the food awesome, very well priced. Went to go for breakfast this morning and they don't open till noon! Thanks for telling us! It is called a resort and check out is 11.

First time there and will never return. Checking -in was barely a hello with "fill in the papers and sign here". I even said this was our first time staying here. Not a word , no "Welcome" Nothing. Didn't provide any info. of the facilities available or any direction as to getting to our room. etc. When we finally found the suite which was upstairs the windows by the door overlooks the walkway. the blinds barely covers the window frames which allows people to look in as well as the bright hallway lights beaming into The suite which stays on all night. The washroom w aas super small and the bathroom door grace the bed whenever opening the door . The bed sinked in in the middle and sponge like pillows. The most unjustifiable spending of $300 and a terrible night sleep. Checking out was the same. barely a hello. This so called resort needs to educate their staff on customer service and what hospitality business is about. The "resort" needs to be updated. painted. fix all windows in the guest rooms, fix the stairs and hallways for the safety and comfort of the guests.

This Resort is a total ripoff it is nothing like the pictures do not stay here, it is rundown old dirty and falling apart, the gardens and grounds are overgrown, the ponds are dirty, smelly and full of dead frogs. Our room over looked the pool which was half empty full of swampy water and dead frogs.l Our room was old and smelled of mold and was damp, the paint was peeled off the outside door and covered in cobwebs, We we’re there to celebrate our 25th anniversary and were so disappointed. The front desk clerk was rude and was not willing to do anything to make us happy. The manager was not professional enough to address the situation she told the front desk clerk to tell us she was not there. I left my phone number they said she would call me but heard nothing They make you pay in full so they can rip you off. When we were going to our car we meet to other couples that were experiencing the same thing and were getting no customer service from anyone this resort should be condemned, as well as notifying the travel section of the news paper as this place should be shut down.
