We booked four nights at Hayes Inn for our Prince Edward County getaway this August. Our sojourn was beyond our expectations. Mike and Katie are welcoming innkeepers and run a beautifully restored historic inn. Our room (the Lakeside) was clean, comfy and had a modern bathroom complete with a rain head shower. Each morning Mike prepared a different and nicely presented, delicious breakfast. To ensure we were never without, Mike and Katie provided complimentary access to refreshments (coffee, tea and sparkling water) as well as treats and fruit throughout the day. Hayes Inn was our “home away from home” and we look forward to returning on our next visit to PEC. We’ve stayed a several B&Bs over the years and can confidently say that Hayes Inn ranks among the very best. Book your stay and you won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I had a wonderful two night stay at this historical Hayes Inn. Our hosts Michael & Katie were super nice, not to forget their adorable puppy Lambert. Our room was so clean and decor lovely plus they have some amazing art work painted and photographed by family members - very talented. We are vegetarian and Michael made a wonderful breakfast for us including delicious fresh fruits and cheeses. An espresso machine was in our room but also in a room set aside for guests there was made available an additional espresso machine, kettle for tea plus yummy pastries, cookies and fresh fruit should you feel for a little treat before bed (or anytime). We would definately recommend this venue if you are visiting Prince Edward County.

We spent 3 lovely nights at the historic Hayes Inn. Our Innkeepers Katie, Mike and Lambert (adorable pug) were such welcoming and gracious hosts. The breakfasts were delicious and the rooms perfectly appointed (beds comfy, bathroom modern & very clean). The location was perfect. Nearby were great restaurants, the Waupoos Tart stand (so yummy!) and great cycling routes and of course wineries. Thanks to our Innkeepers. We will definitely return!

Six stars is warranted. What a beautiful house in a quaint picturesque part of Picton. We were absolutely blown away. The room was immaculate and so cute. Our hosts were super sweet and so welcoming. We were so impressed especially with the breakfast. Honestly we travel a lot this couple have a gift and are truly so gracious. And let’s talk about Lambert the most beautiful little puppy that we wanted to take home with us. Lol Thanks again it was a wonderful memory and a great weekend.

I stayed 3 days with my friend. The place is magnificent. A beautiful historic house near the nature. Interior design is contemporary. It is artistic, charming and exquisite, it respects the past history and is kept with love. Katie and Mike are wonderful hosts, very nice and talented people. Their biscuits/ loafs are out of this world. The full breakfast every morning was delicious and different each day. We could also have tea/coffee, water, fruits, pastry during the day. The place is immaculately clean, the bed is very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay tremendously.

This was my second time at Hayes Inn, this time with 5 other people (3 rooms). And once again the stay was everything we wanted. Excellent hosts, very good breakfast, very nice rooms. I liked the quietness, comfortable bed, rain shower, and cute little pug. This may become a tradition - of always staying at the Inn when we go to Prince Edward County.

First visit to Prince Edward County with family and friends. A beautiful home with amazing history. Hosts are wonderful, very friendly, provided great recommendations. Breakfast every morning was very delicious - homemade frittatas, waffles, and pannacotta! And last but not least the head of the house was the bestest boy! Would return in a heartbeat.

My wife and I were fortunate to get a last-minute reservation at the Hayes Inn. We were met by the very gracious hosts, Mike and Katie and their adorable pug, Marzipan. Mike gave us a very interesting orientation of the history of the house. We discovered a coincidence as Mike had shared the same school bus with our son in Thornhill in the '90's. The bedroom was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. It was too bad we only stayed one night - it was so relaxing.

We recently stayed in PEC for the long weekend and absolutely loved it! Our accommodation at Hayes Inn was lovely. It is an old, charming and beautiful colonial home that has been fully refurbished and renovated (but still has all it's charm and character!). Katie and Mike are great hosts. They are welcoming and very generous (and great cooks!). The included breakfast was a great bonus and they cook very delicious meals. Hayes Inn is located about 10 minutes from Picton, but you can easily do other areas of PEC and spend your nights at Hayes Inn. Also, Marzipan the Pug is a great addition to the space.

Neither my wife or I had stayed at a BNB before, so we weren't really sure what to expect. The location is quite isolated from the highway (401), but not hard to find. Location is near some touristy hot spots which was nice. Katie and Mike were very accommodating, so was the unique building. The history of it is also an interesting story. K&M were able to answer any questions. They know the building and the area well. Our room (upstairs as all the rooms were) was away from the common areas. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The en-suite was nicely finished modern felling and as well met all our needs. We were given a key for our room and a key for the front door of the building. We never felt the need to lock our door, but the option was there if we wanted. The breakfast included was delicious. They allowed us to choose the time for breakfast. Water and snacks included is a nice touch. Katie and Mike were always available if we needed them but at the same time we rarely noticed them, they were not infringing on our space nor did we feel like we were in theirs. In all, our stay was 10 out of 10. Thanks Katie and Mike. We will be back some time! Jason and Jenn.
