The Manse is what you always wanted in a B&B. It is charming, comfortable, beautifully appointed and close to everything. Breakfasts are a culinary delight and made me want to stay longer so I could try them all. Max and Meghan work long hours to ensure everything about your stay is perfect.

I soent a weekend at The Manse with my (new) husband. As we were going for a couples weekend away, we decided to stay at the Inn instead of the usual chain hotels. We were not disappointed! The Inn is lovely, well kept and our hosts Megan and chef Max were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and the Inn is within walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. This Inn is a gem!

Counting the hours till check-in today for a return visit to The Manse - had the pleasure of staying at this incredible Inn for the May long weekend and everything was perfection - from the warm welcome at check-in, beautiful and relaxing surroundings outdoors, to the 5star room with cozy robe and the most comfortable bed and pillows. Oh and the food.....this is no ordinary B&B! Chef Max prepares a breakfast that is picture perfect for Instagram and absolutely delicious. When thinking of where I wanted to be for my birthday and my birthday breakfast - it just had to be a return visit to The Manse and Chef Max and Megan (who's timing to offer a wonderful glass of the local Chardonnay was right on the mark). The staff is so very friendly, one even giving me a book to read she had just finished. All-in-all, this was and will be an incredible stay and new memories made!

We just left The Manse Inn yesterday. We had a fabulous few days stay at the Inn, run by Megan & Max, who were very attentive. This young couple are very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable! We've stayed at a few B&Bs in our time, but I have to say we've never been served more delicious breakfasts anywhere. Our room was very tastefully decorated, as is the whole Inn. It's been restored beautifully!! The grounds are pristine, the saltwater pool (enjoyed a few great margaritas, made by Chef Max) was refreshing but not at all cold and the patio/pond/waterfall area is so pretty. We enjoyed our delicious breakfasts each morning on the patio beside the pond/waterfall. Can't think of a better way to start the day! We'll definitely be back!!! Thank you to Megan and Max for making this a memorable mini getaway for my husband and myself!!

My husband and I stayed here for our 40th wedding anniversary celebration. The team at this Boutique inn is wonderful... always a smile, accommodating and competent. First the room... ours was outstanding. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the shower was very modern. The house is gorgeous. Dave and his wife put in a ton of work in renovating this century old home and it shows. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool refreshing. Lots of great places to sit and have a cognac. Ok... and the breakfasts ... Max ... keep it up. Your passion for food shows through. If the inn invites you to have your dinner there instead of going somewhere else (only available to guests), say yes. You will not be disappointed as you discover new flavors with every bite as Max created something new. We have been to many restaurants in our lifetime. We have had memorable meals around the world. Max has that quality of making you discover flavors and synergies as he toils and plans his meals with painstaking precision. Oh... and while nothing is extremely close in PEC, it is nice to be in Picton where you can bike or drive to sandbanks, wellington (for ice cream) or to the vineyards.

The Manse Boutique Inn is amazing! It offers the unique combination of luxury and elegance with comfort and relaxation. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, adding to the overall experience. The food was as delicious as it was beautifully presented. I certainly appreciated their ability to easily accommodate my dietary restrictions. We highly recommend The Manse, in beautiful Prince Edward County.

Reading by the waterfall with a glass of their exquisite wines in sunshine was soothing .If you are on the fence about their tasting menu, do it ! It is beyond delicious , exquisitely presented and well worth it! Thank you to Sian for making it a personable few days!

Our first visit to Prince Edward County and we found this gem for our accommodation. Lucky us. The new managers, Megan and Max, were welcoming and helpful. Max is an outstanding chef who takes great pride in his work (the breakfasts were beautiful and scrumptious). The property is beautifully restored and I can’t imagine a better location from which to explore the area. The spa showers were quite a treat too.

I stayed at the Manse for my wedding last June and booked the whole house a year and 3 or so months before. About 1 to 2 weeks before our stay, Kathleen emailed to say that there was minor construction at the house. It ended up being much more than we though as you can see in the picture. We had told Kathleen that we were taking pictures on the grounds foe our wedding and wanted to stand on the balcony for our first look. She should have made us aware of this, so we could book elsewhere. Kathleen would have known about this for some time. Not 2 weeks before. The owners were trying to sell the property at the time and I believe this is why they were doing construction on the building. As you know finding a place to stay in PEC 1 to 2 weeks before is near impossible for that many rooms. We spent a lot of money staying at the Manse and nothing was really done to rectify this issue. I called recently to get info regarding my stay for the staycation tax credit. I mentioned this to the new innkeeper and she offerred a free night stay worth $300 with the stimulation of staying for 2 nights. That would mean we would have to pay $400 to stay for 2 nights. This really didnt sit well with me as we spent thousands of dollars to stay for our wedding. There were other issues with our stay which you can see below. Given that there are new innkeepers, it may not still be an issue. 1) want you to pay an extra $25 per person to the hotel for cominf to the hotel for the day. Even if they were to come see you before leaving for the wedding venue. Therefore no one came to the house. 2) demanded that I find a makeup artist that was licensed and insured due to an issue they say they had with another makeup artist in the past. This was near impossible. Leaving me to book with someone that I was less than happy with. 3) wouldnt accomodate the bride or groom leaving their belongings at the hotel when they had to go to the rehersal, even though we asked to check in an hour earlier. We waiting outside for awhile with the doors locked in the heat and then were late for the rehersal. 4) Kathleen and Chris made us feel very uncomfortable. Not sure why. But I think they wanted to quit and were just waiting to leave. Kathleen always seemed mad. Chris didnt really speak to us. It was like we were a chore to be staying there. 5) Breakfast was subpar. Our guests didnt like it. It tasted pre-made. My father in law didnt eat the second day. Not a good thing when you are used to other bed and breakfasts. 6) the patio furniture outside was dirty and some potted plants dead. You can see this in the wedding video. When you pay that much to stay somewhere it should be spotless. Kathleen said the cleaners just walkes out and quit and she was scrambling to find someone. Maybe thwy didnt like working with Kathleen and chris? My guess as how they made us feel as guests. The actual rooms and property is lovely. That is what drew us to stay here for our wedding, but due to construction that was gone.

The hotel is beautiful with all aspects of the property in great condition. Outdoor breakfast by the terrace was excellent. The innkeepers did a great job taking care of us. Little details like having home cured bacon, a well thought out menu and snacks in the kitchempn. Overall, the room, with ensuite in good condition and very clean. We would love to return!
