The Manse is an extremely nice place.
Kathleen and Chris are excellent hosts along with their dog Baxter. They greeted us with a cold summer drink. While Chris took our luggage to the room, Kathleen showed us the beautiful garden. We then had a tour of the house. She explained all the protocol in regard to Covid.
The rooms are very nice with all the amenities you would require.
We had a four course dinner there to celebrate our anniversary. Chris is an excellent chef. The breakfasts are delicious as well. We had our meals outside by the fountain and pond. Kathleen was always helpful when we needed information regarding the wineries, restaurants, etc.
I had a facial with Natalie at the spa. What a treat.
We are already planning another visit in 2021.

Our first visit to Prince Edward County and we found this gem for our accommodation. Lucky us. The new managers, Megan and Max, were welcoming and helpful. Max is an outstanding chef who takes great pride in his work (the breakfasts were beautiful and scrumptious). The property is beautifully restored and I can’t imagine a better location from which to explore the area. The spa showers were quite a treat too.

The Manse is a beautiful family run boutique hotel. The hosts are warm and very welcoming and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. This historic building was beautifully restored and lovingly appointed. The attention to detail is exceptional, the cleanliness beyond expectation. The breakfast was included in the price and it was delicious. Our room (number 3) was very comfortable, had a fireplace and a seating area in front of two tall windows. The shower is specious, immaculate and has spa fittings. We really enjoyed the outside hot tub, that was a real treat. We visited Picton and Prince Edward County for a weekend and we had a wonderful stay, thank you!

We spent our anniversary weekend at the Inn and were extremely satisfied with everything. It helped that the weather was spectacular too! Innkeepers Kathleen and Chef Chris offer a casual-friendly style that makes you feel welcome, without any pretense. Every meal (all from scratch with local ingredients) was terrific. We tried all of the breakfast options, and each one was great. The BBQ on Friday night featured Ribs, which my friend described as "the best ever". We also tried the 4 course dinner on Sunday night with the wine pairing. Every single plate was wonderful, and the wine paired perfectly. I've already recommended this place to everyone I've spoken too. Although I may regret that, as it's tough to get a reservation. Thanks Kathleen & Chris!

Fantastic stay! Can’t recommend this place highly enough. The property is gorgeous, the rooms are comfortable and very clean, and the food is amazing. Kathleen and Chris were also so welcoming and accommodating. As an additional bonus, the restaurants, shops, and bars downtown Picton are a two minute walk away.

We will be back!

This is a lovely boutique inn that sincerely welcomes guests and does everything to make the stays so memorable. This included arranging flowers for our suite and the most amazing cheese and tapas platter. Breakfasts were spectacular as gem. A real gem!

I chose an Ontario staycation this September to relax and discover a new part of Ontario. The Manse, its hosts and the PEC area did not disappoint. My room on the 3rd floor was so very quite. The property is amazing considering it is so close to Picton's main street. Breakfast was enjoyable. Try the Finnish pancakes at least once. I ordered dinner one night and Kathleen accommodated my request as a solo traveler. Loved the oysters. Enjoyed the pantry available to guests.
The hosts in this pandemic world have taken great care to distance tables, provide reuseable water bottles and explain other covid precautions. i read some older reviews and cannot understanding anyone calling Kathleen or Chris rude. Simply not true.
Iron and board available on request.

This place is an absolute gem. I stayed three nights and from start to finish, I felt very well cared for. The rooms are elegantly furnished and comfortable. The saltwater pool is small but sufficient, especially when paired with a spell in the hot tub. The location is perfect: a short walk to Picton's main drag. The food was absolutely fantastic, especially a sampler plate I ordered for dinner at the hotel. It was full of gourmet delicacies like house-cured gravlax, homemade seed and nut crackers, chai-marinated grapes, candied pecans, and a variety of local cheeses. Innkeepers Chris and Kathleen have prioritized good service, and I hope very much to return before too long.

My fiancé and I just visited The Manse for the second time and were once again blown away by the great facilities, the hospitality from Kathleen and Chris, and the wonderful food. The place is immaculately kept and in a very central location, close to a bunch of great restaurants. The pool, hot tub, waterfall and koi pond on the grounds really lend to a wonderful ambience. I can’t recommend The Manse enough. Thank you Chris and Kathleen!

We stayed over a weekend, and the inn was full. It only has 6 rooms. When we arrived, the owner Katherine welcomed us and gave us a tour before getting our key. The room is of decent size and the bed is comfortable, and the shower is amazing. The hotel is next to a church and its clock chimes every hour. But it did not interrupt our sleep at all. We pre-ordered a dinner for two for one of the nights we were there. It's called 'Seacuterie', and the portion was good and it was amazingly tasty. I highly recommend it if you are there.

Some of the cons: the water did not drain very well for the sink in the bathroom. There is no desk inside the room, making it a little bit difficult to use the laptop. The breakfast was good, but I was expecting it to be a little bit more elaborate.

However, overall we did have a great stay, and I will recommend this place if you are in Picton.
