The Manse Boutique Inn is an oasis in the heart of Picton! In a completely renovated building from 1906, The Manse boasts modern finishes, high quality amenities and a commitment to our guests. The Manse is a bed & breakfast style Inn with a dedicated couple innkeeper/chef to host your stay. We are pleased to offer our guests a private luxury experience at The Manse.
We liked being in downtown Picton, an easy walk to Main St but in a peaceful setting. The pool and hot tub were lovely and we enjoyed the waterfall and koi pond. Seating for meals were outside and the weather was ideal. Room 6 had ample space and we enjoyed the fireplace, jacuzzi tub and fancy shower. The Innkeepers BBQ on Friday night offered ribs, chicken skewers, baby roasted potatoes, asparagus salad, spinach and strawberry salad and rhubarb lucious for dessert. The BBQ is included in Friday night stays and everything was delicious and plentiful. The breakfasts were good, although options are limited and portions weren't huge. The bacon and salmon were especially good. Breakfast service was good but not excellent, for example, not being offered coffee, tea or juice…

Response from Kathleen W, Manager at The Manse Boutique Inn & Spa
Responded Jun. 23, 2020
Thank you for your review. It was lovely to host your getaway. As you visited us on our first weekend back open, with the “new normal” we haven’t had the experience with our new service structure at breakfast. Our “old normal” had self serve stations for coffee, drinks etc. I’m sure future guests can understand the adjustment period is a little longer than the first weekend back open and we’ll master it fairly quickly. Another note for future guests is that breakfast has 10 separate options. Plus cold items like fruit, yoghurt, and granola.

Have been staying at The Manse for a number of years, and always wanted to have dinner there, but for whatever reason couldn’t fit it in to my schedule. Boy was that a mistake! Booked a dinner during my December stay and it a fabulous. Started with a Kale salad, not a big fan of kale, find it too chewy, but this one was delicious, kale was finely chopped and very tender, with grilled pineapple, crispy onions, honey roasted peanuts and a perfectly balanced peanut lime dressing. Next was cured salmon with a corn pancake and green apple, again perfect balance of flavours. We had beef tenderloin and rack of lamb, both cooked as ordered, accompanied with new potatoes and 4 different vegetables. Flavours great, minor quibble the lamb was just a little tough, but not enough to distract…

We arrived early, parked in the Manse’s private lot and walked a couple of blocks to tour downtown. Very convenient! When we checked in, Kathleen, the innkeeper, said she had tried to catch us and invite us in.The Inn is secure with the door locked but she was there to greet us and give us lots of info and a tour explaining how everything works. It was a Sunday night and we were the only guests so had the house and grounds to ourselves. It was very quiet! We were on the 2nd floor and Kathleen offered to carry our luggage.(declined) She was congenial and helpful during our entire stay. Room 2 was quite lovely with 3 big arched windows offering a view of the bell tower. I loved the chiming of the hours! The en suite bathroom had a large shower and bath robes were provided. The…

My wife and I stayed at The Manse this past summer and it was the perfect spot for a romantic weekend away! We have travelled to Prince Edward County several times in the past, but this was the first time we stayed at The Manse, and we wish we had found it sooner! The property is in excellent condition, and the room that we stayed in (Guest Suite 6) had everything we could ask for and more, including: queen size bed, separate sitting area with a second TV and a jet tub in the bathroom. The room also featured a turreted ceiling (careful in the sitting area - I bonked my head on the low ceiling!), fireplace (no need to use this in the summer, but would be very handy during colder months) and a beautiful chandelier. The property also featured a swimming pool and hot tub which is…

Nothing negative to report. Rooms are nice and big. The site is gorgeous. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. the welcoming care package is a great touch. Location is perfect. But the best thing is the food created by the Chef owner. Dinner was sublime. Thank you for a great stay.

The gorgeous Inn boasts all the charm of the original building architecture with a modern twist of updates in both finishes(outdoor amenity sitting areas, pool, hot-tub, waterfall nook) and beautiful decor. The care and passion to every detail put into the Inn and each guest's experience is outstanding by the two innkeepers, Kathleen and Chris. Our little getaway included a two night stay including a lovely breakfast each day. Exclusive to guests, upon reservation (added cost) a skillfully created gourmet dinner, prepared by Chef Chris. The innkeepers also provide a wealth of knowledge regarding local interests and attractions.

This was a retirement gift from my bosses. What a great choice! Located just off the main hub in Picton, but quiet, beautiful and so welcoming. The room with a Queen size bed, fire place (which we didn't need to turn on), great bathroom with walk-in shower was everything you could ask for, and a beautiful view of the garden with swimming pool, hot tub and a waterfall was a bonus. Kathleen and Chris, our hosts, were amazing! Very welcoming, and Chef Chris made a 4 course meal that was outstanding, so was the delicious breakfast every morning. We can only recommend this wonderful place!
