Purchased through Groupon as a weekend getaway. Also upgraded to a 'hot tub' room for a nominal fee. Fantastic service and every staff member encountered was courteous and personable. The website does not do the property justice, it is a beautiful location with many amenities. Of course, if you are looking for a 'modern' hotel, this is not the place....

We booked with a Groupon and had a FANTASTIC room, very spacious. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Room had king bed, seating area, fireplace, patio - very large room. free wifi. large bathroom. refrigerator in the room. wine glass & bottle opener. Super clean! Looking forward to a return trip in the future!

Stayed at the Waring House for the Easter for 2 days, found a deal through groupon. Our room was located in "the house next door"; if you are looking for modern decor - don't stay there. It didn't bother us. The room didn't have a standup shower; we were told it was a handheld shower. However I thought with a...

We're very glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Prince Edward County. The carpet in the room should have been vacuumed. I'll take the matter up with our housekeeping department. The House Next Door dates back to the 19th century. For the most part, we try to maintain an authentic atmosphere of the time in the room, although,...

We would not return, server sealed the deal as the food was ordinary, costly and delivered late. Server made us feel rushed and made us feel as if we were imposing. We'll avoid this place entirely in the future as it is poor value

I'm very sorry to hear that your dining experience with us did not live up to your exceptions. We strive to create a menu that has something to offer for everyone, but, of course this is a goal we can't always achieve. I also apologize for the slow service. While I don't know the specifics of what caused unsatisfactorily slow...

My husband and I were in the area this weekend viewing the Claremont spa with our real estate agent. The Claremont was fully booked but after hearing that this hotel was the claremonts "sister" hotel we thought it would be interesting to stay in their beautiful vineyard cottage sweet and see what it was like. We checked in around dinner...

We're very sorry to hear that you found your stay disappointing. We've forwarded your concerns to the dining room and house keeping staff. If the room was in the condition you say it was in, then it should not have been released for rental. We'll be looking into where things broke down. We can assure you that your experience was...

We almost lost my father at New Years. After 6 weeks in hospital and a month recuperating at home, his 85th birthday loomed ahead. His significant mobility issues and slowly restoring health led to us suggesting we go to town to make his favourite meal. Much to our surprise he said he'd like to go out for dinner with just...

My fiancé and I stayed at the Waring House over New Years Eve. They were hosting a special function where you could select a prix fixe three-course dinner, there was live entertainment, and breakfast was included the next morning. We really enjoyed ourselves. The food at both dinner and breakfast was terrific. After spending Christmas with family, it was nice...

Booked the Vineyard View cottage (highly recommend the extra cost - reasonable given the privacy) for a special birthday celebration. Staff very friendly and accommodating - lights, fireplace, and hot tub on when we got to the cottage. A super getaway - and during the off-season, on non-weekends, the rates are more than reasonable! Breakfast at Amelia's was included and...

I recently had the pleasure of staying in their Vineyard View Cottage. This room was like a small piece of heaven on earth. The room is beautifully appointed with a wonderful king size bed. The cottage is a stand alone, self contained building that is wonderfully outfitted. It is an all natural cobblestone building that has been refitted to provide...

If you're looking for a wonderful winter weekend getaway, this is the place! Comfy accommodations (book a superior room with outdoor hot tub); the food in Amelia's Garden is exceptionally good---try the French toast or blueberry pancakes at breakfast. Have a pint of local beer in its super friendly inviting pub on Saturday night. And, take a class in The...
