I had been looking forward to my stay since booking my room back in January. Unfortunately, they appear to have over-booked for the weekend of the cheese festival. I learned this when I was contacted by the manager the weekend before my stay, informing me that there was an "error" with their booking system and did not have a room...

Hello, Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. As discussed with you personally on the phone, we do sincerely apologize for the last minute change and we are pleased to hear that the alternative accommodations were acceptable even with the unfortunate loss of being able to walk to The Cheese Festival. The error encountered was due to a...

Stayed for one night on the weekend. One of the cheaper options in the area and unlike most allows just the one night stay instead of forcing you to stay 2 nights. Room was decent. Brand new carpet, bed, tv, and curtains. Rest of decor is still pretty dated. The a/c was not powerful enough to cool the room. Was...

The stairs leading to the third floor were somewhat creeky/unstable. The room had new carpeting, comfortable beds with big fluffy pillows, great view of the marina from the balcony. The bathroom looked a little dated, but spacious. No fridge to keep our drinks cold. Restaurant downstairs got full marks for an excellent breakfast.

Hi there! I am glad to hear that you were somewhat satisfied with our guest rooms. As the new owners, we have been working hard to make changes and we continue to work on the long list of things to do. I think you must have stayed just prior to our purchase of refrigerators that are now available in every...

Room 303 is in need of a bathroom renovation. Room was clean with new bedding, however the bathroom floor was rotted and many areas of black mold around the shower/tub enclosure. The steps and carpet needed to be refreshed. The bathroom sink dripped steadily. The view of the harbor was nice. A few hundred dollars spent in room 303 is...

Thank you for taking the time to review our inn. We are very sorry that the bathroom was not cleaned to a higher standard. This is not acceptable. In August, we will have completed our first year of ownership. We have done many renovations in the rooms/restaurant but we still have more to go. We do plan to have the...

Room was small but ok with a balcony looking over the harbour (second floor). Great view watching sun come up in the morning. Property is dated and well used but clean. Low pressure in the shower leads to longer showers. Our room had new floors and bath/shower. Unit was somewhat noisy as you could hear traffic on the road. No...

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to review our inn. Thank you for the feedback regarding the low pressure in the shower. We typically hear that showers are too high pressured so perhaps your room needs a new shower head. We will have maintenance take a look at it to resolve the issue. Thank you again for staying...

Found this little spot and booked it. The room was clean with laminate flooring. We stayed on second floor facing the Harbour. The restaurant was great. I think only breakfast and lunch. Short walk to downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your stay and review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We have been working hard on improvements to the room's and property since taking ownership on August 1 2015. The flooring we put in all the 100, 200, and 400 rooms is a commercial vinyl plank flooring, we are glad you enjoyed...

OK first things first. The Picton Harbor Inn was BUILT IN 1954! understand this first. If you are one of those high needs extra sensitive types please stay at one of the cookie cutter national chains and not here. HOWEVER! if you like chatting with another traveling family on the dock within walking distance of your room, being recognized by...

Thank you so much for your flattering review. My wife and I were fortunate enough to purchase the Inn late summer 2015. As you noticed the Inn is somewhat dated and we have been working hard on trying to update the property and rooms without losing the charm of being a small personal property on a stunning harbour. Had the title before and has retained it with the new owners. Breakfast here has always been fantastic and with the updated decor and fresh approach it has been pulled out of the past and into the present.

Stayed two nights for a business trip. Very nice view of the harbour. Service was always available with a smile. The staff even returned a phone charger to me at my work conference once I realized I had forgotten it. Breakfast was out of this world...get there early to avoid the lineups.

Stayed for two nights in February on business. Ideal location in downtown Picton, close to everything. The restaurant service was very quick and the food, specifically the eggs Benedict, exceeded expectations. The owner and staff were very friendly.
