My wife and I spent a couple nights here in July 2014 and things actually started off fairly well. The hotel has a little safe out the back where you punch in the access number they give you to pick up your room keys. The rooms here are quite nice and also clean. No issues there whatsoever.

Picton has some cute restaurants and pubs and no trouble finding food of your choosing. Following dinner, we visited the local ice cream store for a little dessert and then spent the evening in our room, hitting the sheets around 11pm. All was happy in the world until around 1am when the enebriated couple staying in the room next to ours came home.... It was at this point we realized, that the walls between our rooms were paper thin, and as we lay there hearing their entire conversation, and that unless they shut up, we were not going to get any sleep. A little wall pounding did the trick,... at least initially. They stopped hollering and turned on the TV instead. Oh Yay ...

Anyway, I don't know what the hotel could have done differently, other than insulate the walls better perhaps. I guess that's all part of travelling. People will be people afterall.

Just travelled to the Queens Inn from Pittsburgh PA to spend time with family for a very special celebration. The folks at the Queens Inn made us right at home and treated us so well.
Beautiful clean rooms. Left us not wanting for anything.
The location was perfect and was located near some wonderful restaurants and almost right next door to Tim Hortons.
Sure hope to go back again someday. Thanks Queens Inn for making our trip a great one.

We spent three nights at the Queen's Inn and highly recommend it when you visit Prince Edward County. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Located on main street, there is ample parking and it is close to shops and restaurants. A previous visitor's complaint about there being no ice machine has been resolved and plenty of ice was available for us, along with an ice bucket and cork screw.

Travelers to this area will be very pleased with both the service and the accommodation available.

There's a lot to like about The Queen's Inn. It's an odd little property: eight rooms on two floors above a dollar shop on Picton's main street, with no registration desk - you have to go to the renovation store behind the hotel building to pick up your key. A minor inconvenience, but I suppose it saves on costs.
Certainly, the price is right: $100 a night, which is competive for popular Prince Edward County, given what you get. Central location, a generous-sized room well laid out, comfortable bed, enough drawer space, clean, lots of towels, good housekeeping service.
The room could probably use another lamp. There's an ice bucket, but no place to get ice. A double lock on the room door would be appreciated. No elevator, so be prepared to hump your luggage up one or two floors. But these are minor quibbles.
The major quibble is the traffic on the main street outside. No problem during the day, but at night it's unrelenting. The main street is part of the county's major thoroughfare,, and lots of commercial traffic zips by day and night just about 10 feet from the windows of the four rooms overlooking Main Street. Unless you're a heavy sleeper, you'll find it tough to get to sleep, then to stay asleep. The other four rooms overlooking the hotel's parking lot are, I suspect, not much quieter, being little more than 25 feet from the traffic. Add to the front rooms' annoyances at night the light filtering through the window shades from the street lights and from the brightly-lit service station across the street, and it's heavy going to try to get some shut-eye. So if you insist on the Queen's Inn, bring your ear plugs and sleeping mask. We didn't, so after two nights of fitful sleep, we were forced to bail out on our third night. The hotel kindly promised to return our third night's deposit to our credit card account.
In short, a nice place, but with one major drawback. If night noise doesn't bother you, though, you'll have a pleasant stay.

It is rather unusual not to have a front desk or anyone at the hotel but things work out fine. It is an ideal location right on the main street of Picton. The rooms are quite adequate and extremely clean. The décor is not fancy but adequate. There is a lot of traffic noise from the street which is far busier than you could imagine for a small town like Picton. Ear plugs are supplied in the bathroom along with soap, shampoo, body gel, lotion and shower bonnets. The rooms are up a set of carpeted stairs and the free parking is conveniently located right beside the building. There is no vending machines or ice machines in the building. The Mac's Milk store next door has just closed but the garage across the road has ice, pop and a few other things to eat. It is nothing fancy but the cleanliness makes me give the place a strong recommendation. I did think that there should have been an off season rate as it seemed the room rate was a little high. (there were no tourists around.)

Beautifully positioned, walking distance from everything in the cute little downtown core. 15 min drive from Sandbanks. Great, comfortable and clean room, no complaints there.

Just needed a fridge in the room and an ice machine. HD TV pushing it? :)

We had to travel to Picton for a relatives birthday. I had been going there for over 40 years and was well aware there were no nice hotels in the Picton area at a reasonable price. I was checking out the internet when I saw the Queen's Inn and took a chance and booked it for 2 nights. There is no reception we had to pick up the keys in a lock box in back of the hotel. I was great, very nice room, quite clean and quiet. There are 8 rooms in total. There are no usual room service type attractions but if you want a great room at a good value don't look at any further - stay at the Queen's Inn.

We made a reservation at this inn for a wedding July 17th and 18th 2009. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances we needed to cancel one night. I called ONE MONTH before our reservation and asked to cancel one night and was told that they require two night minimum stays. I said that unfortunately in that case we would need to cancel both nights. I was THEN told that there would be a 25$ cancellation fee!!! Even though I would have kept the one night and was cancelling ONE MONTH in advance.

I spoke with the manager who REFUSED to not charge this ridiculous money grab fee!!! I explained that it was unfortunate that they were treating people like this because we would NEVER book at this place again.

ALSO be aware that they charge HALF of the charge on your credit card AS SOON AS YOU MAKE THE RESERVATION. The manager then said that the reason for the fee was to recover their credit card fees. WELL... If you don't charge people's cards without notifying them at the time of reservation there would be no need to process the refund.

BOTH of the people I spoke with were RUDE and UNHELPFUL. I know what it takes to make in it the hotel business having worked at a hotel and let me tell you THIS IS NOT HOW YOU KEEP GUESTS COMING BACK.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT A HUGE HEAD ACHE!!!

This newly renovated 7 room inn was certainly cozy. For $100/night, I was not disappointed. About 15 minutes from the Sandbanks Provincial Park and right on the main street. The beds were comfortable and the room was finished beautifully! Highly recommended for those who want the simple necessities in a nice clean place.

All you need to stay and sleep at good prices. No front desk, optional room services. You are right in the action of Picton, on the main street with restaurants and stores. All activities are close around, great place to stay if you want to go to Sandbanks Beach but don't want to stay in a camp ground.
