West Lake Willows is a full-season site rental property. It is located on beautiful West Lake overlooking the world’s largest freshwater sand dunes. It’s a quiet, relaxing retreat from today’s hectic pace on the doorstep of the Sandbanks Provincial Park. In the area, you will find wineries, fishing, swimming and bike trails.
We booked this facility back in the spring and are very happy we did. It was our first time at a cottage type resort with trailers. And boy are we glad we did. We booked a 38 foot trailer on the waterfront with a spectacular view of the sandbanks. The park itself was very well maintained and the staff provided great service. Our trailer was perfect for us with all the amenities of home and as I said ...an amazing view. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our deck watching the boaters and fishermen. The sandbanks is a short 10 minute walk away. Would recommend this facility to anyone and we will be back in 2019. Thank you Scott and family.

Great location. We spent a few days in September. We were looking for a quiet location. The smaller cottage was not available so we had a 3 bedroom cottage. Which was great for just two people and I can see it would suite a family with small children . It was nice , quiet and beautiful views. We walked to the Sandbank Dunes and walked the trails at the Dunes and the West Lake campgrounds. It is an easy drive into Bloomfield and Picton. I can see it being much busier in the prime season and would have loved to come when our children were younger. Probably be too busy for us in the prime season now that we don't have our kids with us. What you see on their web site is exactly how the cottages look. Bright , clean and quiet inside. We found the mattresses too firm for us , I believe they are working on changing out some of the older mattresses and if we were to return we would bring a topper or ask for cottage with softer beds. We never rented the boats so can't comment on them. There is also a place down the road to rent other water sports equipment but it would have been nice if stand up boards were on site to rent. The gentleman we dealt with for check in and check out was very nice and friendly he asked us if anything needed improving and I mentioned the mattresses otherwise the rest was perfect. We would love to return same time next year. Thank you West Lake Willows…

We have stayed here twice. Once last September for a weekend and this year for a week. The first one was a trailer close to the water and another was a small cottage that was spacious for 2 Adults. I would say it would be good for a small family as well. It is situated within walking distance off the Dunes and a short driving distance to the outlet. The trailer was clean, it has satellite TV for any rainy days. The kitchen was well stocked. The staff is friendly and cleared a few minor issues very quickly. There are boat rentals available. We were in Cottage 4

I LOVED this place, we had a mobile home (updated) right on the water. This was our first year here as we stayed at another park previous years. The owner was attentive and engaged. The park was CLEAN, the bathrooms were CLEAN. Our boat was parked right outside the cabin. The locals were friendly, the location was perfect and all in all it was one of the best places we stayed at.

We visited May long weekend and had a blast. Spacious and clean cottage situated beside the water. Owners were accommodating. Because of water level the dock wasn't out. However, we were able to use the dock beside us at the boat launch. Our boys loved fishing and the swan that visited daily.

We have been going to Sandbanks since 2000 and to West Lake Willows (WLW) since 2002. The cottages are clean, comfortable and have a spectacular view of the Dunes. We love watching the sunset over the Dunes while we eat dinner and then enjoy a campfire afterwards. Service from the Walcott’s is great - they are always helpful and available to lend a hand. They are open to suggestions too. The beaches are sandy and beautiful. The water is clean. WLW is right beside the Dunes beach and just minutes away from the other 2 beaches. The towns of Picton and Belleville are not far away and if you like to keep busy, there are lots to do around town - shop, visit wineries, cheese factory, etc. We love the beach and golf. West Lake Willows is a must visit and you won't regret it. We plan to go for years. Thanks to the Walcott’s for having this great spot available for us.…

We spent four nights at West Lake Willows at the end of June. It was our first visit to Sandbanks and we absolutely loved the view and location. It is hard to believe such a beautiful spot is only 3.5 hours from Montreal! Scott, Sophie and Don offer great and personal customer service, they really welcome you and are there for your every request, no matter what time of day or night. My husband and two year old son and I stayed in cottage #5, which was well-suited to our needs. My only criticism would be around some of 'finer details' of the amenities. Although the cottage does come well-equipped with various kitchen utensils etc, some could use replacing. For example our tongs were held together with an elastic band...a quick trip to the dollar store to replace some of these items would remedy this right away! It would also be nice to have a few other basics provided in the cottages, such as maybe a pump hand soap in the bathroom. The cottage wasn't sparkling clean either, which for the price, I would expect. Many of the glasses in the cupboard were dirty, furniture dusty, and the tracks for the patio doors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in many months. We did not have Adironack chairs at our cottage and they were given to us right away after we asked. However, they were given to us dirty...I would have appreciated clean ones being there upon arrival. Again, this did not have any significant impact on my visit but I feel worth mentioning as a little bit more attention to these details would go a long way. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay here - in particular the personal touch and service given by the management. Our son loved the $2 ice cream and I was so impressed that our needs were attended to so consistently. We would definitely come back! West Lake Willows is truly a beautiful spot with mesmerizing views.…

Went to West Lake Willows weekend of July 1-4th (Happy Canada Day!!) for a quick family vacation away. Recommended to us by friends, we agreed to go. Not sorry we did. From the extremely friendly family-oriented owners (Scott and Sophie Walcott) to the neighbors in their cozy trailers, the experience was amazing. The SANDBANKS were a quick 10-15 min walk, depending on how far up the sandbanks you wanted to go. There are boat rentals available (canoe, paddleboat, kayak) through the office - they provide you with life jackets, so no hassles. There is a small playground on the grounds that is well maintained. Our unit was a cottage, which is actually a trailer - but it was large enough for 5 of us. There was an upstairs loft for the kids to sleep, plenty of room in the family room. Adequate kitchen, with all utensils, dishes, etc. Tons of cupboard space. Our bedroom had a queen bed - plenty big, with 3 more mattresses upstairs for the kids. The views right off the back window or deck were fantastic. You could see the SANDBANKS and West Lake right from your window. Go on the deck and feel the breeze - it was sweet. Or take 20 steps and you're in the water. Literally. Every neighbor we walked by was very friendly - it's a very friendly place and our kids had tons of fun. Just had a great time. Can't wait to go back!…

As the parents of three active young kids, my spouse and I were really looking forward to a break in our daily routine and to showing them this incredible part of the province. And West Lake Willows certainly did not disappoint. Since it's so close to the Sandbanks Park Dunes Beach (we walked there and back with our two-year-old twins and 5 year old), West Lake Willows is ideally situated. We stayed in cottage number 3, which was clean and comfortable with a great view of the dunes. Our five year old loved fishing for panfish right outside the cottage doors. The on-site beach is small but perfect for a quick swim. Again, it's ideal for small kids, since the water's shallow and the bottom is sandy. The kids also loved getting ice cream from the on-site store and playing on the site's playground. This is a busy trailer park, so don't go if you're looking for absolute privacy, but we never had any trouble with excessive noise or felt crowded. Indeed, all our interactions with the neighbours and other guests were very pleasant. We had some challenges with the low loft in the cottage, as our twins were still a bit young to be up there safely by themselves (the railings are low and they're climbers), but our five-year-old loved it. Our internet connection was a little sketchy, but we left the city to get away from computers and screens so it didn't matter. We'd definitely recommend it as a family getaway, or base of operations for either visiting the Sandbanks park or going on a fishing trip in the area. Thanks again Scott for the hospitality. Bob and Norine…
