Bucket list? Tin can list? My birthday wish to stay in an Airstream - check.

We really enjoyed our 3 days at Woods on Pender. And would not hesitate to recommend to others. Another great find close to home that provided a relaxing getaway and change of scenery from the back yard.

2 sunny, warm days meant we could be outside on the deck all day. Dining al fresco and then night caps by the firebowl. My husband got out on his bike one afternoon and said there are a lot of hills on Pender! That was it...

Big rain and wind storm on last day "unfortunately" meant we had to snuggle inside all day long. The rain sounded like it was falling on a tent but thankfully we were warm and dry in very comfy bed with big windows to enjoy the show. Washroom and shower with on demand hot water, comfy towels, bathrobes etc. All comforts of home - modern camping is the way to go for sure.

We knew the Camp Truck was not open for dinner so planned to cook our meals and kitchen had all we needed. Wolf convection oven was the bomb. After seeing all the amazing food shots on Instagram we definitely want to go back when the Truck or better yet when the Kitchen is open to enjoy both culinary and liquid creations.

Impressed with the attention to detail in our airstream and around the resort. Curtis has provided high end amenities and thoughtful touches to ensure a memorable guest experience.

Stayed in Rustic Cabin #3, in March. Very spacious with amazing sun rises and ocean views right from the cabin deck (bring your binoculars).
Deer can also be spotted roaming in the grassy field below.

This is rustic camping but with the comforts of home.
The queen bed was very comfortable with 100% cotton linens and extra blankets in the drawers.

The bathroom was spacious and the hot water was instant. The 100% cotton thick towels where very nice.

The portable bbq on the covered deck worked great, as we cooked steaks one night. So good!

The hot tub was a nice treat after a long day of hiking and walking all over the island.

We even watch a Canucks game one night on the smart Tv that’s mounted on the wall. Now that’s our type of camping!

The woods location is central to all the amenities (grocery store, gas station, liquor store, pub etc) The owners/caretakers where quick to respond to any inquiry’s we had.

Our friends stayed in airstream #2,
It’s very small/tight on the inside especially the bathroom. But the fridge was big with a separate freezer and had a gas stove. The cabin had a little bit bigger than bar size fridge and no freezer and a portable cook top and brand new kitchen aid toaster oven.

Our friends ended up mostly hanging with us at the cabin playing cards and sitting around the gas fire pit as it accommodated 4 of us comfortably.

Over all we had a great 3 day stay in March. We will defiantly come back and stay in #3 cabin again, we loved it.

We stayed at Airstream 7 and we had a wonderful time. We were allowed to check in early and Curtis explained how everything works. Everything is clean. The bed, beddings, extra blankets, pillows and bed are very clean and comfortable. There was also a welcome treat, blanket and towel for our puppy. The hot tub, propane firepit and bbq are well kept and working properly. Even when there was a power outage we didn’t have to worry as the place is vert safe and well kept. The grounds are clean. We didn’t get a chance to order at the restaurant because they are closed on the times we were there but I think they serve awesome dishes too. The owner is very accommodating and answers all questions via text promptly. We were even allowed to check out late with no charge as the ferry is scheduled in the afternoon. Aside from the food, everything that we needed are included. We will definitely stay here again!
Thanks Woods on Pender!

VERY disappointed in our trailer, clearly not anything like the website pictures!
The airstream is run down and not properly maintained.
* dirty, poor quality kitchen supplies plus limited supplies to properly cook
* cheap bedding and towels
* the table was not stable in the trailer, could not put anything on it
* the trailer was heated with a portable heater under the table
* the trailer lock was falling apart, if you locked the trailer it was a process to try and open the door
* hot tub is dirty and would not use
We discussed our concerns with the owner immediately. He had an excuse for all that we mentioned above. He gave us a bottle of wine and credited us a portion of our total bill. The premium charges per night is unacceptable and lots of work needs to be done to upgrade this accomodation. The photos enclosed speak for themselves.

Glamping at its finest! If this is camping, sign me up! The Woods is peaceful, well-kept, and beautiful, with exceptional attention to detail inside the Airstreams and throughout the grounds. The owner, David is friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed (including a hairdryer and robes for the individual hot tub on the cedar deck)! We highly recommend this destination as a place for fun, relaxation, and the ability to enjoy nature, while living in complete comfort.

I really enjoyed my stay at Woods on Pender. The staff were all very nice and helpful, the morning pastries were delicious, the bunnies and chickens were a fun surprise.

We stayed at airstream 6, the bed in both the airstream and the bunky were comfortable & all aspects of the “rooms” were functional and comfortable. A fun clamping experience, but do not confuse it with a hotel stay. Airstream 6 does not have a bathroom door, it’s a curtain and the layout was a bit awkward (bed right next to door), but my understanding is they are all different. A few updates could have been made on our site, like replacing the broken patio umbrella, replacing the missing bunky key, ensuring the soft tub water wasn’t cloudy and maybe painting the plywood walls white.

Woods on Pender is centrally located on the island which was nice and you’re really immersed in nature.

I would 100% recommend you stay here for the experience.

This is a very diverse accommodation. The cabins and trailers are really exceptional, but pricey- you do get what you pay for. However, we regularly visit family and opt out for the hotel. It is basic but very clean. We do miss the hot tub, but that hopefully will open once COVID is over (we hope). The rooms are all unique- some smaller than others, some a bit dark with only 1 small window. If you want all day ambiance, stay in a cabin or Airstream. Bonus, the eatery is very good and right on site for everyone to use.

We had what was probably the best and most unusual pizza we’ve ever had.
It was topped with fresh roasted beets and beet greens. Along with other tasty ingredients it was on a perfect crust. So delicious!
Not being able to resist dessert was also a great decision. Everything is made with local fresh ingredients.
Having one more night on Pender Island, we had to return. Again, we were not disappointed. The steak beef burger and the veg bowl were awesome!
If you’re on Pender Island, be sure to go to Woods for great food and service!!!!

We so enjoyed our last visit to Woods we came back for another four day.

We had cabin #1 which was lovely.

It was cold and wet out, so we pretty much just hunkered down and stayed inside, playing games, napping, watching movies.

This time, we managed to get down to the cafe for coffee and treats a couple of times, and met one of the owners. Sweet guy and gave us lots of insights into what was new at Woods. Big item, several new Airstreams, which we looked at to plan for our next visit.

Our cabin was neat, clean, well appointed, nice and warm. Totally met our needs, the biggest of which was our dog, Angus. The owners put out a blanket and bowls for him - very thoughtful touch.

If you’d like a backwoods vibe combined with city comforts, you really could not ask for more than Woods. Beautiful location, which required two ferry rides to access. Very reasonable rates and ease of booking. Excellent place to tune out and snuggle down.

Our first visit to Woods on Pender. We stayed 4 nights in Airstream 8. Airstream is set in a private and quite location. It is well stocked with all amenities required for the perfect glamping experience. Woods on Pender was a perfect getaway. We enjoyed the experience and we will return.
