Our family of adult children, under six years old grandsons, and a medium sized dog stayed in the Large Beachfront Cabin. It was snug for four adults and two kids, with an A Frame structure somewhat limiting floor space for sitting and a very steep ladder access to the loft with four beds. We appreciated the gas fireplace, but felt quite disappointed that the communal hot tub was closed, no doubt because of lingering COVID fears of management, which is completely COVID protocol compliant. But wow! The cabin has a lovely deck with BBQ, looking over a green lawn to a terrific stony beach was the best view ever. We loved star gazing from this beach. There is also an amazing dock perfect for crabbing and fishing at our time of year...swimming would be great in the summer. We enjoyed the otters and seals that hung out on the booms. In addition to playing on the dock (bring kids lifejackets) we enjoyed the cute play structure and big swing tire. Near the resort is a good grocery shopping and coffee shop and in a ten minutes walk there’s a charming dining room with pub. There’s also a fine flat walk on Rebecca Spit. We had a wonderful family game of soccer there. Then we went beachcombing. Yes! Quadra is an easy Gulf Island to visit from Vancouver Island, on one short ferry, and with many accessible beaches, hikes, and cultural sites. It is the best of West Coast living. And Taku takes full advantage of it all.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom Terrace suite for 2 nights. The suite was very well appointed, beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. Just a short walk to the HBI for dinner was very convenient. The small deck was a great place to enjoy the view and the ocean traffic.

We stayed in the Upper Beach House at Taku Resort. It was a perfect getaway in a stunning setting. When we arrived there was an eagle sitting on a log to the left of the dock and a heron to the right. A wildlife welcoming committee! From the living room or dining room you can see the 180 degree view, up and down the beach, over to Rebecca Spit, Desolation Sound and the mountains beyond. Whether it was stormy or sunny, the view was always amazing. The unit is well appointed and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Lynden and his staff were lovely to deal with. We liked it so much that we decided to make this a yearly getaway!

Loved our visit, the cabins were a perfect relaxing getaway! They were tidy and had cute decor. Staff were friendly. My only complaint is that the cabin was full of cobwebs top to bottom and it didn’t look like there had been a full/deep clean, especially with the floors.

We're so happy we could help you have the perfect relaxing getaway. I'm very sorry to hear that the cleanliness wasn't to your standards and it doesn't sound like it was to ours either. This past winter season has been unusually quiet with guests and staff and this may have been reflected in the cleanliness you experienced. You may be pleased to hear that as we type the cabins are getting updated bathrooms, stoves and new flooring. There will definitely not be any issues if you return again and I hope you do! We really appreciate the time you took to write us a review. Sincerely, Liz Wong

We stayed in a single cabin on the beach with our dog for 3 nights. What an awesome little get away. Morning walks on the beach, hanging out on the dock, and just relaxing in the lounge chairs watching the water. I cannot say enough about this place. Friendly staff, super clean and a fully stocked kitchen...they even left us treats and towels for our dog. Great trails nearby, Rebecca spit is visible from the cabins and is an amazing place to explore. Thank you Taku resort for an amazing stay. We will be back.
