Big, modern and very comfortable rooms, wirh a nice and spacious bathroom. Good food. Friendly people. We were the only guests at the time, yet they made us feel welcome and made dinner and breakfast just for us.

A family run hotel. Well organised, welcoming. Food is very good. The hotel lies on the Rheinsteig hiking trail and has set itself up as a base for hikers. For example, at breakfast one us able to put together a packed lunch. Plastic bags for sandwiches, etc provided. Even if you are not a hiker, this hotel is stylish and offers great comfort and wonderful food. It is not in the centre of St Goarshausen but up the hill in the suburb Heide which means one is not disturbed by train or road traffic. Great place!

This hotel is a great choice if you're hiking the Rheinsteig and/or visiting the Loreley rock. Coming from the village of St. Goarshausen you'll have to climb up the hill next to Burg Katz. Following the trail you'll come along the quiet and rather unattractive settlement of Heide where the hotel is situated right at the trail. I'd recommend to dine at the restaurant as they serve decent food (reasonably priced) and there's nothing else around. Cozy beer garden, friendly staff and recently renovated rooms. Standard rates include a brekkie that comes along with fruits, cake and Belgian waffles.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a walking tour with EuroHike (the Rheinsteg--along the Rhine). The room was a bit small, yet very clean. The disadvantage was the location--being over a mile away from the core of the village. However, this also meant that the hotel and room were very quiet. We ate at the hotel (perhaps the only choice if you are walking). Good, solid food and drink with excellent service. Hotel is directly on the Rheinsteig if you are walking the path.

One of the nicest places in the region of the romantic middel Rhine. Verry good hygiëne. Total renewed rooms. Cosy to stay. Most friendly and professional staff. Superbe high standard kitchen. We went a few times with a group of touring bikers. The hospitality is touching. A perfect place to stay and enjoy the envirement as hiker, walks, bycicling, motortours or drive true the country by car en visite the local villages and castles. Most honest prize for so much quality.
