We arrived to Omar in the evening after a long day of driving. We got out of the van on a fairly main road and did not see a hotel. We were told we had to walk up the hill and that our luggage would be taken care of and brought up immediately. So we started walking up this farily...

This is a beautiful riad style hotel about 30min outside Marrakech in a hillside Berber village. Great for those who want to get off the tourist track and experience a more authentic Moroccan experience. The riad is 3-4 floors with an open courtyard with fountain in the center. Rooms are excellent - very comfortable, spacious, all with ensuite baths and...

What a wonderful place--the rooms were spacious and wonderfully done. Baths were unique--not the best for standing in but who cares. What really made the stay wonderful was the staff and the owner. They catered to your every wish, always with a smile. Our rather large group also had a cooking demonstration that was fun. The dining area which is...

The kasbah is beautiful and well-located, and has a very accomodating and friendly staff. The food and service were excellent and plentiful. It was a very relaxing and ambient experience for my family and I look forward to returning.

There is only one problem with our stay at Kasbah Omar. We didn't stay long enough. Picture a hotel where the outside entrance looks like a bombed out alley in Beirut but the inside of the hotel looks like the Pierre in NYC. When our driver Masrour stopped in front of the place and told us we could get out...

We had a beautiful stay in Kasbah Omar.....we were there for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Karim, was a wealth of knowledge, and genuinely wanted to share his culture with us. We loved the colors, and the simplicity in design. The Riad could have been out of the pages of Architectural Digest. Everything was very calming,...

I have to say, we were disappointed. The Kasbah Omar lacked the quality, charm, and style of a historical riad. It has been open only since April 2007, which is when we stayed there. It feels like the construction was relatively cheap, though the design is quite traditional, with an open central courtyard and earthy colors. We came here partly...

We have investigated the negative comments of this client who stayed at Kasbah Omar in April 2007. We found that Jfinetus' husband had arranged the stay at Kasbah Omar on the recommendation of his tour operator. He was interested in experiencing the Berber culture closely, as is possible with Kasbah Omar. Apparently, we think that he did not convey to...

We came to Kasbah Omar by taxi from Essouira and stopped in a lay by with no hotel in view. We were a bit shocked when the driver said 'You are here', he had been talking to Karim on his mobile. Suddenly Karim appeared al smiles and led us up the dirt track to the hotel. It is right in...

Kasbah Omar proved the perfect oasis secluded in a Berber village near the Valley of Ourika. Perhaps more than any other place we stayed during our 10 nights in Morocco, Kasbah Omar understands the hospitality business. Karim, our guide and host, was gentle, charming, gracious and fun. The room awaits you with high quality soaps, rose petals on the beds,...

Kasbah Omar is a very lovely riad. The attention to detail is excellent - the beds, linen, carpets, etc is of a very high standard. The staff - probably Kasbar Omar's greatest asset - are really kind and helpful. Although not near the main tourist spots of the Ourika Valley (it is at the Marrakech end of the Valley) the...
