We really enjoyed our week at Church Farm Alsop en la Dale and stayed in Pinster cottage. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped, with our hosts Christine and Chris being very helpful indeed. The farm was peaceful with good views up the Dale, and we could see from our window cows and sheep grazing in the fields....

A lovely, clean and homely cottage in an ideal location for exploring the White Peak area where there is so much to do. The friendly owners Christine and Chris were always helpful in making sure we had an enjoyable holiday. Our only regret is that somehow we never got to visit the next door church!

Just had long weekend here. Arrived to yummy home made cake. Clean comfy cottage. Great view from the living room. Children loved the whole farmyard scene especially the ponies and dogs. Scenic walks from the door. Couldn't fault it.

What a lovely cottage to stay in. We stayed for a long weekend, with our two boys aged 4 & 7. Christine and Chris, the owners could not have been more welcoming. Even the Turkey was pleased to see us! There was tea and freshly baked cake on the table (still warm) when we arrived, the cottage was beautifully clean,...

From the moment we arrived for our stay at Winnets Cottage we knew we had made the right choice. I was born in The Midlands, but moved to Canada at 16, and coming back to the area was my choice to celebrate my 60th birthday. We could not have made a better choice! This cottage was a great home-base from...

We've just had a wonderful week in Pinster Cottage. The cottage is well equipped and cosy and had the most amazing views across open fields. When we arrived we were welcomed with a home baked cake and lots of helpful advice for touring the area by Christine and Chris. It was the perfect base for our two boys (13 and...

We have just returned home after a lovely weeks stay at Church Farm. Our 2 children (6&8) and ourselves had a fantastic week in Winnets cottage and exploring the local area. The children loved the ride-on tractors that were provided for them and the cats, dogs and turkeys that came to spend time with them in the excellent enclosed yard!...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Church Farm nestles alongside the historic Norman church in the tiny village of Alsop en le Dale, at the head of one of the most beautiful but undiscovered dales in the Peak National Park. Our topsy-turvy cottages were created from an old barn on the farm. They have a wealth of character with high ceilings and and exposed beams, are at the top end of the Tourist Board Scheme and inspected annually. They are situated in the cobbled yard of our Rare Breeds farm and are just the place for your Peak District Derbyshire holiday. Winnets is the larger of the two cottages. There is a downstairs single bedroom, another single bedroom upstairs and a double bedroom that overlooks the courtyard (an additional identical full sized bed is available for the single room, if required to accommodate an extra person 5 max in cottage). Pinster has one double bedroom and one single. An additional identical full sized bed is available for the single room, if required, to accommodate an extra person (4 max in cottage). Changeover is on a Saturday. Prices for the week vary from £260 to £475 depending on the time of year. Between the end of October and 1st April except for Christmas and New Year, the cottages may be booked for Winter Breaks for any period of 3 days or more. The first three nights are charged at £170 [Pinster] or £180 [Winnets] for two people sharing. If there are more than two people, the price is £210 [Pinster] or £240 [Winnets]. Each additional night is £38 [Pinster] or £40 [Winnets]. ... more   less
