The cabin was very comfortable, thoughtfully stocked and we enjoyed the babbling water feature and elegant grounds. Just wish we had a little longer to enjoy the place - but our 520 ferry check in meant for an early start. Great place

Lovely cabins just outside Port Hardy. Very well equipped and comfortable. It was sooo relaxing sitting on the deck outside in the evening sun. The owners running it are super helpful too! Great base to enjoy the beauty of the north island :)

Ever wanted to stay in an adult-sized playhouse/treehouse with all the amenities of home? Do you enjoy a peekaboo view of the ocean while a fawn walks by your porch? This is the place for you! Pros of Cabin 2 • All the amenities of home ○ Oven, stove, drip coffee machine, full-size fridge, washer and dryer, decent amount of counter space in kitchen ○ Dining room table ○ Satellite TV with plenty of channels • Typical hotel all-white linens • All wood or tile floors, better for people who might have carpet allergies • Outdoor fire pit with benches and wood stove indoors • High ceilings with a fan to improve air movement • Robust heating system • You can park right beside the cabin (fantastic for loading/unloading during sudden downpours) • Wraparound porch with your own Weber grill • Spacious shower with excellent water pressure Cons of Cabin 2 • Loft bedroom not great for people who sleepwalk or are afraid of heights or have mobility issues climbing a ladder • Internet not great - if you're trying to work from here for a week and take zoom calls, probably need to bring your own Starlink or something ;) Things to bring along to make your stay even better • Firewood for the stove • Cozy house slippers (you're not supposed to wear your shoes on the wood floor surfaces of the cabin, take off your muddy boots on the tile at the entrance) • Rubber gloves if you're going to do a lot of cooking (dishwasher was the only appliance this cabin doesn't have) • Liquid detergent to use for the clothes washing machine…

Ecoscape cabins is a fantastic place to stay while exploring Port Hardy and the surrounding area. The cabins are comfortable and clean, and the ones with full kitchens are fully stocked. The ones without kitchens have full use of the wonderful communal outdoor kitchen. There are campfire pits with wood provided too! (When campfires are allowed). We stayed the first time in 2020 and enjoyed the experience so much we returned in 2021. We hope to return again. Highly recommend.

My husband and I just experienced 2 days at Ecoscape that made our Motorcycle getaway trip a 10+. The cabins are immaculate, well equipped and " fabulous" bedding, plus a first class host! We loved our stay and will be back :) Would highly recommend! Thank you Donna, Connie & Dean

We came from the other end of the island (about an 8.5 hour drive) the cabins were beautiful and very clean and tidy. Our host Donna was absolutely lovely! Probably the best experience we’ve ever had, she was super helpful with giving up directions to some local favourites. And was a delight to deal with when we needed anything. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend if your planning a trip to port hardy or Cape Scott.

My friend and I checked into Ecoscape cabins on Friday and stayed till Sunday. I reserved our stay via email and the staff were quick to reply. We stayed in cabin #3. The cabin was very clean and cozy. I loved it! I hope to return to Port Hardy January 2021 & March 2021 and will stay at Ecoscape cabins again.

Beauty little cabins close to the ferry. Popped in without a reservation and was promptly assisted via phone, and then someone on site let us in without any hiccups to cabin #4. He swept and de iced the steps for us on arrival. Place was clean and bathroom was wonderful with a large river rock/rain shower. We asked if there was firewood to use for the communal firepit and the answer was yes. After leaving for a while, we came back to kindling chopped and paper left out to accompany the wood, very nice touch. The little kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to make a hot breakfast. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing that was a little lacking was lighting at night, could do with another lamp or two so the overhead light wouldn’t have to be on, maybe on a nightstand instead of a tall dresser, not sure how many people are filling a dresser but I guess if you were staying longer you might. Would happily return and also recommend staying.…
