You can't go wrong staying here. The owner is so friendly and helpful. I felt like she was a family member because that is how you are treated. She is very knowledgeable about the area and provides travel trips and advice about where to go for the best adventures. The breakfast is out of this world. There is always fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, nuts, and a hot entree everyday. We enjoyed lingering in the kitchen to chat before going out each day. The owner takes a serious interest in your comfort. We stayed here two nights before departing for the Great Bear Nature Tour for 3 nights and returned for one more night upon returning from the bear tour. I highly recommend staying here!

What an amazing B & B right on the Storey's Beach! The lovely hosts, Michelle and David, gave us a warm and friendly welcome to their B & B. The accommodation was top quality, well thought out, very comfortable and well kept, with just the right amount of personal touch with soft furnishings and pictures. We stayed in the Enchanted Garden Room with a ginormous snooze-inducing bed, en-suite shower room and use of a relaxing guest lounge. Breakfast was taken in the light and spacious modern kitchen diner - and could have lasted all morning as it was plentiful, home-made, healthy, varied and delicious.
We went to Port Hardy to explore and see where an uncle had lived in the mid twentieth century - Michelle had done some research prior to our arrival and as a result we accomplished far more than we could have hoped for. Michelle and David have great knowledge and enthusiasm for the area and its wildlife - if we had stayed a month they would not have run out of ideas to entertain us!
Our stay was rounded off by a spectacular eagle display on the beach courtesy of David, who provided the expertise - and salmon fish heads and guts - to entice them down, amazing!

We were two couples travelling together. We were encouraged to stay here by the great ratings trip advisor had for this property. It was soon evident Dave and Michele had earned every one of them. We were very well looked after from the moment we arrived. The rooms were great and breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Stop looking, just book it.

I called them in the afternoon of July 11 to inquire about booking a pet friendly room for that week.
I have still not received the courtesy of a phone call two days later.
Fortunately I was able to book elsewhere.
Not impressed!!!

I lived in Port Hardy for the first 18 years of my life so I was very familiar with the area. I decided to bring my 'big city' husband to see where I grew up and chose this place from referrals from locals and from my past knowledge of riding past this place on my bike as a teen.

Armed with what to expect, I was completely surprised to have my expectations exceeded. We arrived early - it was no problem, everything was clean. The bed was more comfortable than most of the 4 star hotels we've stayed at, and there were nice bath supplies - soaps (something I always appreciate as a girly girl). I'm a total foodie too and love to cook so I wasn't really expecting much.

and the breakfast really WOWWED me. Most everything was locally sourced, gourmet and home made.... From the baked goods (she clearly woke up super early to bake all the treats for us as they were warm and fresh when we got up at 7am), jam from berries in their backyard, cold smoked salmon (I probably ate my weight in it, and Michelle didn't blink an eye), fresh fruit salad, belgian waffles, granola... There was a veritable buffet of beautifully prepared food. I still remember that breakfast as one of my most memorable.

We walked through the backyard to the beach and had the entire stretch to ourselves at 10am. My sweetheart could finally understand why I feel claustrophobic at kits beach now!

Considering the calibre of the hotels in the area a BnB is the only option, and this one is one of the best if you like a clean comfortable bed and gourmet breakfast.

We only stayed there a single night which was a such a shame. The location is perfect and Michele and Dave had so much information and advice to offer on where to go and view wildlife. we went for an early morning walk along the beach. It was perfect for us. Their home is fantastic and the room we had could not have been any better for us. Michele's breakfast is amazing. You will not go hungry that is for sure. Both Michele and Dave are fantastic hosts. We hope to visit Vancouver Island again in the future and will definitely be staying here (if there is room). Would recommend this wonderful B&B to anyone.

Only a short visit but was made to feel welcome and, even, part of family. The room was well equipped and the location was on a quiet beach. Had to leave very early but hostess got up at 4:00am and also prepared a packed breakfast- wonderful.

We stayed in the Starfish room with a heavenly queen bed! The room was cozy with nice touches including a fridge, water cooler & coffee maker. Our hosts Michele & Dave were welcoming and were a wealth of information regarding tourist spots and activities. Their amazing back yard backed onto Storeys Beach which we did not have time to explore. The yummy breakfast hit the spot with banana bread, yogurt & fruit to start, followed by sausage, hash browns and a blueberry breakfast dish. We did not walk away hungry!!

Well, staying at the 'Ocean Storm B&B' was our first experience staying at a B&B. we had a wonderful greeting by the hostess, Michelle !! What a friendly welcome. Her home is very cozy and lovely. When I had phoned to book the room she told us about a place we should stop at on our way to her home, a little place called Telegraph Cove, we did go there and it is a lovely little site right on the Ocean with little cafe's and motels/ rooms right on the water. We ate our lunch on a balcony overlooking the harbour. It was great. We then continued on to Michelle's place. We thanked her for suggesting it. We were shown around her home and told where the sitting area was for guests, when breakfast would be served in the morning and also that if we were unable to stay for breakfast that she would pack us a breakfast to take with us. The room we chose was very nice, it had a full shower, bathtub, sink right in our room. There was a coffee maker, kettle, two mugs. The bedding was very nice, the room was nicely decorated. I found it a bit small for bringing in suitcases etc there was not much room , but the again I'm used to a hotel/motel room. Our night was very quiet and comfy. In the morning we joined the two other guests for breakfast where Michelle had wayyyyy too much to offer!! It was great !! She had a homemade quiche that she just took out of the oven as we sat there, it had fresh veggies from her garden. There were homemade bread and muffins!! Yogurt with fresh berries and granola to add to it. Fresh fruit. Chicken sausages (awesome) , freshly made coffee, orange juice!! Honestly, there was anything you could possibly want for a breakfast!! And more ! We had gret conversation with Michelle and the other couple who stayed there as well. Over all, it was a great introduction to B & Bs and thanks to Michelle it won't be our last !! Thanks again !!!!

What a fantastic place that Michele and Dave have. The rooms are just beautiful, immaculately clean and inviting. The breakfast is out of this world delicious, you won't even need lunch when you're finished eating! On top of all of this, Michele was so friendly and helpful about things to do in the area and the beach that's behind the house is the icing on the cake. I'd go back in a heartbeat!
